Why Labview.exe error when exit simple-state machine?

Can someone please help me figure out why, unless I ABORT the VI, I get a "Labview.exe is closing" error when I press Stop. I am using a simple-state machine like what comes with Labview's examples. What could be some causes of this? I have read that not closing all files first can cause an error but it seems to me like I have them all closed.
I am running LabVIEW 6.1 on Windows 2000. In my Initialize state I use Global and Local variables. Could these cause problems?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Lauren

I do an AI Clear after data is acquired. I don't open up any AI functions in the "INITIALIZE" state, so I think the only AI Clear I need is where it is. WHat do you mean print the front panel without errors. I see its set to "print at completion" (the computer I use does not have a printer connection) but do you mean save the front panel to file without errors?
Could there be an error in these subVIs that causes the program to shut down?

  • Why I get an error when running a sequence using the LabVIEW operator interface ?

I have a simple TestStand sequence calling LabVIEW vis that is giving me an error when I run it with the .exe version of the LabVIEW operator interface and I set TestStand to run the vis using the 8.2.1 runtime engine instead of the development adapter. I made a change in the operator interface to open a vi programatically and get the value of a control, this vi is also used in the TestStand sequence I am trying to run. Could this be causing my problem ?
    Thanks

    Hello Verdulken,
I have a few additional questions:
Does your application function correctly when running the LabVIEW operator interface you have created as a VI in the LabVIEW development environment (i.e. does this problem only occur when the LabVIEW operator interface is run as an executable)?
What is the error that you are receiving?
Regarding the VI that you open programmatically, do you open it in a visible manner (i.e. use the Show front panel when called option from VI Properties)? If so, do you also close this VI after it finishes (i.e. use the Close if originally closed option from VI Properties)?
Does the error occur on the step that calls this very same VI again later in the sequence?
Does your application function correctly if you use the development adapter for all of your calls?
Thank you in advance for this information,

  • InDesign CS5 DDE Error when exiting

One of my users gets a DDE error when she exits out of InDesign.
"DDE Server Window: InDesign.exe - Application Error
The Intruction at '0x##############' referenced memory at '0x##############'.  The memory could not be 'read'.
Click on OK to terminate the program"
She is using InDesign CS5 with the latest update applied.  I believe it was 7.04.  She is also using XP sp 3.  I've tried resetting her preferences, as I noticed was recommended, by pressing ctrl + shift +alt on boot and rename the file name from the user folder.  Neither fixed the issue.  If I start a new file it doesn't have this error on closing, but it happens when loading up an old file and closing out.
    Thanks

That sort of worked.  When I ran the initial export of the file and closed
there was no error.  If I opened the newly created idml file and closed it
would throw the same error.  I decided to look into a theory I had about
saving.  I loaded the original file that was giving me trouble.  I made a
small change, saved the file, and closed.  The error did not come.  I opened
the file again and closed.  The error was produced.  It seems it happens
when you load an existing file and don't save/export your work.

  • "An internal error has occurred" error when exiting

hey Adobe you've got a bug in your updater...
    read here:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3c06325e/0
I also experience this weird "An internal error has occurred" when quitting Acrobat 8.1.2 its there since the very minute i updated from 8.1... now i wish i could revert the update...
UPDATES ARE SUPOSED TO IMPROVE THINGS NOT BREAK THEM !!
Can anybody solve this ? I dont want to be force-quitting acrobat forever...

---- PROBLEM SOLVED IN MY CASE ------
    this is what i did:
I have Acrobat 8.0.0 installed as a part of Creative Suite CS3 installation...
1- i ran the Creative Suite CS3 installer
2- i choose UNINSTAL Acrobat 8 only, leaving the rest of CS3 suite installed, its very important to UNINSTALL and not REINSTAL or REPAIR as REINSTALL or REPAIR doesnt help anything...
3- after UNINSTALLING Acrobat 8 i used DiskOrder (or any good file manager which can search inside hidden and system folders) and searched for the word "Acrobat"
4- i got about 70 results (mostly folders in Prefrences, Cache, etc.) i deleted manually everything related to Acrobat - that was pretty risky but i was lucky...
5- i ran Creative Suite CS3 installer which gave me a new option INSTAL ACROBAT 8.0
6- INSTALLED ACROBAT 8.0 and WITHOUT restarting i IMMEDIATELLY applied 8.1 and 8.1.2 updates
    7- restart
    DONE
NO MORE "An internal error has occurred" MESSAGE WHEN EXITING ACROBAT

  • Why is there an error when activating custom wsp's (timer job) via SharePointUI?

We have created a Timer Job Project.
Before packaging wsp and deploying via PowerShell:-
    1. If I set scope to Web and go to site features then I hit on Activate it gives error
(sayin to enable debug for error msg in web.config).
    2. Similarly, if I set scope to Site, then if I go into site collection features and activate,
    it give same error.
    3. If scope is set to Web Application then the feature is activated by default (under
web app features), but cannot see the job under job definitions.
    4. If scope is set to farm, then (under farm features) similar to above point no. 3
There is also error when deactivating features which are already activated when a package
is deployed. for example: web applicaiton feature.
Further, I cannot see the timer job under job defn unless it is scoped to SITE..
    Why is this?
I donot get the issues when activating the features via PowerShell. Why is this?

    Hi Nachiket Kamat,
When you are using web scoped or site scoped features to install the timer jobs, the account that does the scheduling must have write permissions to the configuration database of the server farm, usually, the identity of the application pool that is hosting
the SharePoint site does not have permissions on the configuration database, this is the account that is used when you activate the feature through the browser interface, this may cause the feature activated failed.
Another scenario that you met when you change the feature scope to web application, job definition cannot be seen, this may be caused by the feature receiver code, like if scope to web application, then get the web application from properties.Feature.Parent
as SPWebApplication, if you change the feature scope, then this also need to change to get the proper object.

Sorry to dredge up an old topic - but got some really weird behavior.
I knew that I had to sysprep the vhdx's before bringing them into a template. I've done this (verified twice), and I still end up with the error list at the top of the thread:
    Error (10659)
Cannot run Sysprep on virtual machine SRV2k8test because the template does not have a virtual hard disk attached that has been generalized.
    Recommended Action
Specify a template that has been generalized and then try the operation again.

I am running SCVMM 2012 R2, and things were actually running smooth as of three days ago. Templates built before then are still working and can be deployed with no problem.
However, building a new template today gives the above error when testing the deployment.

  • Strange error when starting tnslsnr on AIX machine

    Hello!
    I have the following system:
there are two nodes (say, node1 and node2) in HACMP cluster (OS is AIX 5.2). ORACLE runs on node2 and our software - on node1 (in normal state). Also there is an external storage, where ORACLE's and software's file systems are situated.
So, in normal state ORACLE runs on node2 and software - on node1. ORACLE's filesystems are mounted on node2 and software's filesystem - on node1.
There can be two more states of working system:
    1. when node1 fails and all it's resources are acquired by node2 (filesystems and IP). In this state ORACLE and software are executed on node2.
    2. when node2 fails and it's IP and filesystems are acquired by node1. ORACLE and software are executed on node1.
So, in failover state no.2 everything works ok. In failover state no.1 and in normal state i get an error when i try to run tnslsnr:
    oracleuser$> lsnrctl start

When i edit listener.ora (replace "prdr3dbt" by corresponding IP-address) and try to start tnslsnr again, the startup procedure hangs and does not finish for a long time (it hangs until I press CONTROL-C key combination) and i get a huge amount of such error:

I am sure that there is nothing wrong with oracle's files, becouse they are on EXTERNAL storage and the system doesn't work only in two of three states (in one of states it works fine).

'TNS-12531: TNS:cannot allocate memory' may be misleading, it seems to be a permission problem (see also IBM/AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 13: Permission denied). A possible reason is:
Oracle (more specific the listener) is unable to read /etc/hosts, because of permission problems. So host resolution is not possible.

  • Why I keep getting errors when I try to create my labview application as Active Server in my VB code? (Activex component can't create object)

I am not quite clear about your question but my best guess is that you have not register your LV ActiveX Object. Try to run that LV object once to register.

  • Error when exit by 'X' from called form

I am in a form and I call another form. I delete something on the called form then click the 'X' in the right hand corner of the form without saving my change first - a message is displayed QMS-00158: Do you want to save your changes? When I click on 'Yes' a window appears with a title that says 'Errors and Warnings in this transaction' with no other information - when I select 'OK' the window remains displayed and a message at the bottom of the screen says "FRM-40738 Argument 1 to builtin GO_BLOCK cannot be null" - the only way to close the window is to click on the called form and exit it then everything is OK.
If I save my changes first everything is fine - it is only when I try to exit the called form before saving that this happens.
    Any ideas of why?

    Hey there ;
I am guessing you are using the command: SnippingTool or SnippingTool.exe, just as you would use mspaint; but it is giving you Error 2; this is a Windows Issue more than a LabVIEW one, ,you can try using command:
    C:\Windows\Sysnative\snippingtool.exe;
it worked for me; i found this info in the KB below.

  • 'Error 1063 occurred at an unidentified location' CompactRIO driver internal error when attempting simple input/output

An NI representative (Eric Dean) recently held an NI Open House to showcase the contributions NI was making to the University.  Before leaving he noticed cRIO-9014 was not functioning properly and asked that I reinstall the drivers, saying they had likely been steamrolled by another peice of NI software (he mentioned this was a known issue and was being resolved in future releases)  After un/reinstalling everything (but not reinstalling the corruptING software) the CompactRIO still returns 'Error 1063'.
When asked, Eric asked that I replace a specific driver he suspected of  being corrupt: EIO_SpecifyEIONode.vi  at location C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW8.5\vi.lib\eio\EIONode\
When this failed to resolve the issue I was directed here.
We're using a simple FPGA in/out project to test the unit. When asked to run, the previously mentioned error pops up.

    Hi Nathan,
Sorry for the confusion.  The block diagram is where the LabVIEW code for your FPGA is.  If you expand your FPGA in your FPGA project you should have a VI.  You can open that VI and there will be two windows, a front panel and a block diagram.  The block diagram is white and if it doesn't show up automatically you can go to Window»Show Block Diagram and it will show up.  You will see the old I/O node, delete it and then right click on the block diagram to bring up the functions pallet.  Go to FPGA I/O and then I/O node.  Click on the I/O node and drag it onto your block diagram.  You will need to wire it up the same way the old one is wired.  I have included a screen shot of the block diagram, functions pallet and the I/O node.

  • I dont understand why i get this error when trying to type "else"

    Hello Everybody,
Im new to java and am writing a simple program which gets a input number between 0 and 100 and is to print A for (grade>=90), B for (90>grade>=80) and so on, when grades < 60 get F.
i use a series of if/else, but when i get to the FINAL else it gets an error (red wavy line under the last else). this ruins the program bcoz now a grade 61 will output "D" AND "F".
can anyone explaing why this error msg? and how can i fix it?
    this is the code:
    public class Assignment02Q04 {
         public static void main (String[] args){
              int grade = (Integer.parseInt(args[0]));
              if (grade >= 90){

Have no solutions to this problem been found? It seems many people have it. I get the error on start up and when shutting down Firefox.
