Why loosing sync when coming back from Sountrackpro to FC7?

Hello everybody...
I am having a problem that happens for the first time, never had it before. I finished a project in FC7 and then sent the audio to SountrackPro to work it.
Everything was fine but when importing the final mix, the track was shorter by a number of frames than the lenght of the project, which makes sync to be lost.
My native setup work is in 25fps. My guess is that somehow something in the preferences or some setup has been changed. I checked in FC7 and my timeline settings and the system are at 25fps non-drop. Also checked in Soundtrack and I have the same settings, but somehow in the process everything gets screwed. I think is Soundtrack thats is messing it but I am not sure anymore.... Any ideas please?

Hi Nexus_9, I've had this very same problem for some time now. No matter how I exported via FCP7 it would always loose sync going through STP. By accident I opened up a new project with a new sequence and voila! it didn't happen on that project. I went back to my standard project template and it did it again. Something had to go screwy on the old template and there was no fix. Now I have no problem. I can't tell you what was wrong, but I know it works fine once I started with a new project file and sequence. To save all of your already precious time, just copy everything from your old sequence into the new sequence and it should all work out okay.

Problems using the phone when coming back from abroad

I have a problem with my phone -- I live in Denmark. When I travel abroad, my iphone phone works fine. But then when RETURNING to Denmark, it doesn't work. I cannot call out, cannot receive calls. It has happened several times in the last months. Usually it works again after some hours, or lastly a day or longer. This is really irritating. How to prevent this? If you tried with two different Sim card and still have the problem. I would advice you to simply reset the settings. That way you don't loose your medias.
a. connect your iPhone to iTunes.
b. Right click on it when it shows up on iTunes and choose back-up
c. Right click on it and make sure you transfered all purchase items
d. Take your iPhone, go on settings, general, reset all settings.
e. follow the directions
f. choose restore from back up when it ask you
g. connect to iTunes
h. right click on it and choose restore from backup.
i. choose the back-up you had done earlier
j. You should be good with your newly restored iPhone
But honestly... I really doubt that the problem is the phone. You should try with the sim card of another carrier.

Cache problem when coming back from external application

Let's see if I can explain this properly. We have an application consisting of a left menu with books and pages. Each page consists of one Struts portlet. In one case we direct the user to an external mail application. This is handled by the Struts action class setting some fields (identifier and a url to return to when closing the external application). Our action class forwards to a jsp page like this (where url, SESSION_KEY and LINKBACK_URL are populated by the action class)

The external application opens up in the same window and when the user closes it you're linked back to our application through the LINKBACK_URL. Now, when I click in the left menu as I did from the start all I see is a blank page (if I click once again it displays correctly) and if I press F5 I'm logged into the external application again so it seems the jsp page with the form is cached. I can in a way understand that it does but I don't want that so are there any way to get rid of this behaviour?

Iphone 4 don't reconect automatically to 3G net when coming back from a no signal issue

I live in Sao Paulo - Brasil and since last week I am facing a strange behaviour of my iphone. When for some reason I lost the mobile signal, it doesn't recover the 3G signal automatically when the signal is back. I need to restart the device or reset the net configuration to recover the 3G or Edge conection. As I could realize by doing a research on the internet more people with different services providers are facing the same issue. Is this some kind of bug of ios? Is anybody face similar issue in a diiferent location?

Changing color label of edits coming back from photoshop

I am currently using lightroom 3.2 RC. The issue is when sending a raw file out to photoshop then at the conclusion of editing as the file arrives back to lightroom, it now keeps it original color label (yeah), but if I now attempt to change it's color label from one color to another that I use to denote a completed PSD file, the file losses it color label completely and ends up without a color label at all (similar to what use to happen in 3.0), and I have to go find it and relabel it again.

I only have PSE8 and not Photoshop, but I cannot reproduce this behaviour by externally editing a Raw file in PSE8 from LR. When using PSE, you have to have LR render the PSD on the way to PSE already, which is a difference to Photoshop.
What technique are you using to assign the new color label when coming back from PS (keyboard shortcur, Metadata panel, ...)?
I'm using LR3.2RC on WinXP SP3.

Retrieving the previous session fater coming back from a different appserv

Currently I am in Application1 with session1 -now i went to Application2(different app server than application1) with session2 ....now i want to come back to Application1 with previous session i.e session1.is it possible to retrieve the old session using urlrewriting?? if yes then how??

Hmm,
I don't think so, with URL re-writing. The reason is because application2 would need to do the re-writing, and so would need to know the JSESSIONID of session1, which presumably it wouldn't know.
Options, I guess, would be to pass the JSESSIONID for session1 to application2, which stores it, then uses it to re-write the URL when coming back to application1. Or you could add a persistant cookie that stores the JSESSIONID from session1, then when you enter into application one, check for the cookie, and re-use the same session. You would want to double check your session timeout however, because the session may die if the user is in application2 for too long.

Satellite P850-30W - Fan does not run after coming back from sleep mode

I got a Toshiba Satellite P850-30W with bios 1.90.
Sometimes the fan does not run at all after coming back from sleep mode on windows 7.
This has happened twice (maybe more times without me knowing), and Ive had the computers for a month.
Normally the fan starts running when the CPU gets over 50 celsius, and stops under 50 celisus...
I tried running Prime95 when this fan-issue occured and the computer temps got dangerously high (close to 100 degree)! the fan did not start at all
...this error could potentinally damage the laptop...
to get the fan running again I have to restart windows
anyone else experienced this?
I guess the fix would be to never use sleep-mode...or toshiba needs to fix it with a bios update.

Well, in case it would be a BIOS issue, the problem would appear always and not sometimes after being shut down 200 times.

In my personal opinion to get more details hardware diagnostic software should be used in order check the hardware for possible malfunction. Thats my personal opinion

Freezes when gets back from suspend mode

My 2010 MacMini freezes and show a black courtain sometimes. This happens when gets back from suspend mode. The RAM has passed a test memory and it hasn´t any problem.

After upgrading to 10.6.6, major problems coming back from sleep mode

I updated my macbook from 10.6.5 to 10.6.6 and now it is unresponsive frequently after coming back from sleep. The computer stops responding and I have the spinning beach ball on the screen forever. I couldn´t find any correlation with the programs I am running.
I used Onyx to clear all caches, rebooted, etc but nothing seems to help...

I have the same issue, I've found though that it seems to happen only if i goto sleep mode after logging out of my mid-2010 MBP. As long as I remain logged in and put the MBP to sleep it does not lock up with the spinning beach ball.
This lock seems to happen just as I click on my name to login after waking my MBP from sleep.
I have no peripherals, except maybe the power adapter, but it seems to happen regardless of if the power adapter is plugged in. I've done repair permissions in safe mode as well as disk scans.

There is a confirmed bug in ubuntu jaunty/karmic running on lenovo x200 series notebooks. Shortly, it sometimes hangs/freezes when goes back from sleep mode.

Loosing sync when getting the final mix...Why?

Hello all....
I am having a problem which happens to me for the first time..
I finished a project in FCP7 and sent all the audio to Soundtrack Pro to work it... When done and importing the mix back to FC, the resulting track is a few frames shorter than the project itself which makes the sync go wrong.
I realized that because Sountrack crashed on me a few days ago maybe the settings went back to 29,97 fps in the preferences pane. I put everything back to 25 fps, done the whole process again ans still the same thing. Anyone could give me hand on this?

Creative zen V+ still not working after coming back from assistance for the second ti

hallo, what thje hell is happening with creative Zen V+ I got it back from assistance for the second time and it's still not working!!!!!!!!!!! I want my money back now, I'm gonna spam the whole of the internet with this unfunny joke, what the hell I'm suppoised to do I really fed up, since I bought the unit it worked for less than one month and for another one it's been back to the assistance for two times!!!! And still it's not working!!!! For the Zen V, as it states on the box, you need Windows XP Service Pack or 2, or Windows Vista. You also need Windows Media Player 0 or . As long as you have that, you should be fine there.
You may also have a corrupted file that is causing the problem. Try not transferring them all at once, transfer it in blocks instead. If one block fails to transfer, try and narrow it down and see if it's a specific file in that block causing the problem.
When you try it on another PC, do be sure that PC meets the system requirements, especially the Service Pack if it's Windows XP. You'd be shocked how many times people try it on a 2nd computer, get angry when it doesn't work, call tech support, and find out the 2nd PC doesn't even have SP on it.
All else failing of course contact Support. They can't help you if you don't let them know what's going on, and if you don't yell at them they'll do their absolute best, trust me.

Prints coming back from the lab murky, dull

Hello everyone,
I've been fighting with this issue since I started using Lightroom.
I'm using XP SP2, Lightroom 2.3 and CS3. View Sonic monitor calibrated with Spyder2. For printing I use a Canon Pro9000.
I work in RAW (Canon 50D) and convert to jpg (Adobe RGB 98) for the lab. The profile is embedded. On my Canon printer, the prints come out fine, very close to the monitor. I let Photoshop manage color and use the Canon PR1 profile.
I'm still getting prints back from the lab darker, with skin tones a little murky.
If I turn the brightness and contast down, I can get the screen to look like the prints, it's way to dark to work with. I used a second monitor to compare, they look close enough to call them the same.
I've been though the process many times and just can't see what I'm missing.

This thread illustrates what can happen when the original poster marks a question as "answered".
While Jao's suggestion certainly has merit in many instances, having his suggestion marked as THE answer is a bit misleading. The problem is that the original poster is apt to assume that submitting sRGB images to WHCC (White House Custom Color) IS the answer.
Unfortunately, the real question the OP should address is why, when he submitted an image in the Adobe RGB color space that contained an Adobe RGB profile, the prints returned from WHCC were unsatisfactory. WHCC does perform color management and I have the prints to prove it.
In other words, a little more digging on the part of the OP is probably in order.
