Hi Microsoft Team:
I'm just wondering why are Microsoft products are so frustratingly complicated to install???
Recently, I tried to install Microsoft SQL Server Express 2012 but gave me plenty of headaches e.g. SP1 not installed, not found, instance not found, SQL Profiler not included, SSDT not included this component missing, that component missing, blah, blah....In
a nutshell, the application is crippled and incomplete.
Only if you have the luxury to purchase the Developer version, then that’s a different scenario altogether.
I know the intention of Microsoft is to make money but consider other less unfortunate people (Forget about Dreamspark!)
In a way, this has become a hindrance to students and workers out there who wanna learn more about C#, VB, SQL, etc.
It wasn't the case when I installed other IDEs like Eclipse, Oracle, which were very easy to install and comprehend.
I hope in the future, Microsoft would follow the examples set by Oracle, Ubuntu and other Open Source IDE providers who provide IDEs free of charge and most of all COMPLETE.

I found MS SQL Server products are frustrating, complex and difficult while installing.
As per my experience , installing SQL sever need to follow some experts tips.
During installation it will ask for sp1 need to install first, Powershell, >net framework.. blah blah blah......
Why don't u packed the whole compnts in single setup or download automatically thru online.
Except SQLserver 2005 Express edition , none of the other types are easy to install.
Even some people need to format the system to reinstall SQL server.
Currently I am trying to install SQLSever2014 in my Win8.1 32 system, Installation completed successfully but now after clicking SQL Management studio is not working at all.
Error Mess can't find one or more components, Please reinstall.
After trying reinstall doesn't work. Dear Team why this complexity???

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My wireless does not work on my ipad or my iphone. It is connected and laptop and kindle both work. Any idea why my apple products are not picking up the wireless? They did in the past up until 2 days ago.

Why are my Adobe products are not listed in 'My Adobe' account?

I recently replaced the logic board on my MacBook Pro and now I have problems with Photoshop CS4. I have the Design Standard Suite and all products are registered. When I go to https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html, however, none of them are listed. I don't have the serial numbers anywhere else and I would like to reinstall Photoshop. How can I get the Adobe Products to appear in my account?

Why Toshiba notebooks are not delivered with the common Vista install CD

Our household now has two x Toshiba laptops, both of which were supplied with MS Vista Home Premium pre-installed.
The nature of the Recovery Media provided with these machines is such that (a) we do not have sufficient flexibility over volume/partition sizes, program locations etc., and, more specifically.
It makes it necessary for the majority of the bundled software (Norton Security etc.,) to be installed by default in the event of a system failure. (And immediately uninstalled following recovery! An unnecessary waste of time.)
Bearing in mind that a proportion of the price paid for each laptop must have included a cost for the Vista Operating System, does anyone know if it is possible to obtain a Master Recovery disk which ONLY consists of the operating system, and which allows us the flexibility of configuration which used to be available when the OS was purchased as a separate product.
Additionally, please let me know if it is possible to purchase Toshiba laptops as a RAW machine, i.e no OS supplied, and I will then buy my own and cut out the rubbish which is supplied on the pre-installed media.

The answer is very simple: software is bundled to hardware and when you buy notebook you buy license for preinstalled Vista version and you can install recovery media so often you want and it belongs JUST to your notebook model. It cannot be used with other notebook or PCs.
If you get usual Vista installations DVD it can be installed on each computer system. For such purposes you must buy Microsoft installations DVD.
As you already wrote Toshiba recovery image contains much software that can be not useful for you. You can remove it from the system and nobody force you to use them. I do the same.
After clean OS installation the first thing I do is to remove or software I don't need or I don't like.
I optimise preinstalled OS on my own.

Must I download a specific microsoft product to protect my mac?

I have gotten several warnings that I must install a microsoft product called 'silverlight 5' to keep my computer safe.
1. I have always tried to keep my apple clean of any microsoft products because I doubt their security, now I'm being told I must install some microsoft to be secure. Recently I had found 'silverlight 5, from microsoft in my applications, I had never requested it and immediately trashed it. It is since then I have been getting warnings to install it. I've never seen this type of warning before for any product.
2. In order to learn what the product is supposed to do, microsoft wants me to register with them and I have no interest in registering with them. I would like to know what microsoft silverlight 5 is supposed to do on my mac and why they think I must download it to be safe.

3. It seems to me that not getting microsoft on my mac has always been a way to protect it from the various viruses and worse that the product could allow. Should I continue to avoid microsoft contamination in spite of the fact that they are telling me I will get the microsoft effect if I DON'T install it?
4. Also how will I get my answer? Will you send an email? or what? They imply I am unsafe in the meantime without their product, thus it may be urgent.

No. Nothing from Microsoft will protect your Mac.
Silverlight is a Microsoft application development framework not a computer protection package.
IMHO you should only use something from Microsoft when you are forced to because there is absolutely no other solution to the problem. Currently I have nothing whatsoever on my Macs from Microsoft.

I cannot agree more with your comments! What a way to frustrate your customers!
I have been having an issue with iCloud on Mac where it kept asking me for my password and sometimes would, sometimes would not continue to access my iCloud mail. Today it just refused to connect to iCloud mail.
I looked in the Mail, Contacts and Calendars in my MacBook Pro settings and discovered that 2 iCloud accounts were present. One with my original Apple ID (a gmail address) and a second with my new iCloud email ( an @me.com address). Having deleted the second account, using the new @me.com address everything is working fine.
So from my viewpoint when I moved over to iCloud I was asked to sign in with my Apple ID (the gmail address) then to create an @me.com address. However, as far as I can see all sign ins to the new @me.com account on Macbook, iPhone and iPad need to be done through the old Apple ID (the gmail address). Is that confusing and just plain crazy???
Further, after creating the new @me.com address I soon found out that this is apparently now forever bound to my old Apple ID and cannot be changed. I mean why can't I delete the iCloud account and start anew with a different @me.com address??? Also, as everybody using iCloud must create an @me.com address why on earth can I not get rid of my old gmail address and have my entire Apple ID accessed through the new @me.com address? Creating a whole new Apple ID will not solve this as we are unable to transfer purchases between accounts.
Apple products are great IMHO, but they do seem to not think things through in a very big way sometimes......
