Why must I repeatedly enter my master password after installing Firefox Sync and is there a setting to eliminate the need to do this?

Ever since I installed Firefox Sync I am repeatedly required by a pop-up box to enter my master password in whichever of my PCs I am using at the time. That is very annoying and I don't understand why the password is required after initial setup since the Firefox Sync Key is supposed to be unique.

Why is iCloud repeatedly asking for my password after the 7.1 update?

Since the 7.1 update, I get a request almost daily to enter my password for iCloud on both my iPhone 5 and iPad. This is getting really irritating

I just noticed this issue. It's making me crazy. A hard reset makes it go away temporarily but then it just comes back. Even if I shut wifi off, it still happens on LTE. Now, if this was just a visual glitch then I wouldn't care so much, but whatever is happening is sucking down my battery. My phone was at 100% and after 2 hours of no use it was at 80%. The other strange thing is as soon as I open any app including safari, the spinning wheel stops. When I go back to the home screen it comes back. I have app refresh off and have email deactivated. I really am not sure what's going on.

Why has my norton 360 tool bar disapeared after installing firefox 6

i used to use norton identity safe with logins and cards etc but since up grading to forefox 6 it has disapeared with no norton tool bar .

Must restart after installing firefox and kde...WHY????

Every time I set up an arch box, when I install firefox or kde (probably others) I must restart the computer before I can even execute them. This is mighty inconvenient and un-linux-like, I noticed that during the bootup, the Updating Shared Library Links takes a little longer after installing firefox or kde, is there a command I can run that does this after installing firefox or kde that dosen't require me to restart?

I wish pacman or the .install files would check to see if /opt/foo, the path that the package was just installed to, is in $PATH and automatically source /etc/profile if it's not. Each time I startup Firefox I have to enter my master password three times. I don't think it's connected with any particular plugin etc. I have prety much the same plugins and extensions running on two machines and only have issues o this one.

And voila, everyone can see my passwords.....

In order to conceal your passwords, you need to create a Master Password. This gives you better security, but it is a little less convenient because Firefox will ask you for the Master Password from time to time.

Somewhere around Firefox 29, Firefox changed how Sync accounts work. Please see this article for more information: [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync]]. If you can't do that in Firefox 33, you may want to install Firefox 29 temporarily to do the account change, and then update to Firefox 33. I try to go to "change password" and it asks for the old before I can enter the new, but there is no old. What should I do?

The password your Mac is prompting you for is your administrator password for the computer. If none of the attempts to enter it in worked, including leaving it blank, you can reset the password by following the directions in the link below.

in this case the obvious other candidate would be an incompatible extension - can you disable them one-by-one to find out which one is interfering.

Sorry to hear about this problem. What site are you trying to log in on? Is it a Mozilla site? Usually you don't need to register or sign in to a Mozilla site to use Firefox. Usually you can just go straight to where you want to go.
