Why my apps failing to update?

The Apple shop sorted it for me by reinstalling IOS 8.  It was thought the IOS 8 download I did had a glitch.

    You can go into the Help menu of your apps and choose "Update".
    I'm not experienced enough with the CC Desktop app except to suggest you should sign out/exit
    Launch the CC Deaktop app and sign in. Also it does take a while for updates to show up on the CC panel.

    ok..I did what I was afraid to do because I thought I was lose the level on candy crush that I am on; I deleted it from my phone and downloaded it again.  It updated and I did not lose my level due to the fact that it was connected to my facebook.
    fyi, I checked all the restrictions, changed to my husband apple id and tried updating because that was the first one we had and the one on the ipad, but that did not work.  The apple id it wanted the password for while in app store for update was mine and it would not update.

  • CC Desktop App fails to update

    Hi,
    I'm using an iMac with OSX 10.9.5 and I've been trying to update my Creative Cloud desktop app for some while now but the update always stops at some point and won't progress further.
    When the progress bar of the update stalls that way, if I stop/quit the CC app (in an attempt to relaunch the update), then it vanishes completely from my task bar. I'm also unable to find/launch the app again until I restart my computer. Is there any workaround concerning these issues? Thanks in advance.

    Albom what update specifically are you trying to apply?  Are you trying to update the Creative Cloud Desktop application itself?  If so then please utilize the steps listed in Error "Failed to Install" Creative Cloud Desktop application - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html to reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

    Can anyone please assist me on getting my Lumia 520 music app update itself on wifi. For a long time now it always gives an error message. Other apps are updating whenever there is a new update.

    What is the exact error message that you're getting when you try updating the Music app? Have you tried downloading the app update via mobile data connection? This is the default Music app and not a downloaded one, correct? 
    Make sure that the phone's SW is updated. If you're phone is already running the Lumia Cyan SW, make sure that Update apps automatically and Only get updates over WiFi are both enabled under Settings > swipe to applications > store.These settings will allow automatic update downloads for all apps you've installed in your Lumia 520, though some apps have their own inbuilt auto update features.

  • Apps fail to update on iPad. I get the error message that the app cannot be updated at this time

    I keep getting the error message "the app cannot be downloaded at this time" when I try to update any of my apps.

    Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
    If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
    Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again.

    Please follow the steps
    1. Uninstall all the Adobe products from computer.
    2. Delete the Adobe folder from /library/Application support/Adobe
    3.　Delete the Adobe folder from ~/library/Application support/Adobe
    after uninstalling the Adobe products and deleting Adobe folders you can install the Creative Cloud Desktop application and you can download all the apps from Creative cloud and you can try to update to CC 2014.

  • Weather app fails to update without restart

    Anyone else been having this problem? I have it set to view local weather only but I just get a black screen with "updating" on the bottom. However if I turn off the iphone and then turn it back on again it updates straight away. Its not a huge problem but kind of irritating.

    After much searching, I found the solution.  It was a problem with the MTU.  Once the required change was made in the WiFi router's settings, the problem was fixed.
    Another discussion in these Apple forums said this:
    Geneally, at least here in the US, the MTU setting for a cable broadband system is 1500 and for a DSL broadband system 1492. I would try manually setting the MTU on your home router to match what your broadband ISP specifies to see if that fixes your issues.
    And a discussion on dslreports.com said this:
    If you are using DHCP - 1500. If you're using PPPoE - 1492. If you really are on DHCP, then use the manual setting to put it at 1500.
    I'm using DSL, so I changed the WiFi router's MTU from "Auto" to "Manual" at 1492.  Problem solved.
    I was able to get the iTouch to work with the Belkin router as well, but it took some more effort.
    The only way to access/change the MTU setting was to put the WiFi router into PPPoE mode.  This required the DSL username/password to be plugged into the router, rather than the modem.  And this meant the modem had to be put into bridging mode.  With these changes, I was finally able to change the MTU in the router.
    The Belkin router actually said in the notes what the MTU should be.  It specified 1432 (rather than the 1492 that worked in the Cisco router).  I tried 1492 in the Belkin, but it didn't work.
    I wish Apple's tech support had been equipped to give me this info over the phone the first time I contacted them.  It would have saved me a lot of time.
    Well, it's been real.  I've really enjoyed talking to myself.  Maybe this will help someone not waste as much time as I did.

  • IPhone apps won't update, iTunes Store won't open

    I can't figure out why my apps won't update on my iPhone. I have rebooted, deleted the apps that wouldn't update and froze (waiting) and rebooted after that. I may not have the greatest wifi connection ... I am out of town and dependent on hotel/convention center wifi. Went to App Store to reload the deleted apps (some), but same thing.  I saw a response regarding iTunes, went there...took forever for iTunes to open, it kept stating I couldn't access iTunes Store, and after hitting "okay" probably 4 times to confirm that iTunes wouldn't open...it did.  So I thought that was the problem and returned back to App Store and tried to reload just one app.  Well it's been an hour and a half or more, can't reload it. It creeps along and I thought the app was loaded, but no. I can reboot only, not reset because I am no in home like I said. This is more than "fairly frustrating". What the heck can I do?

    Do a hard reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and home button together until apple logo appears.
