Why my "Cards" app cannot go over the "authorising purchase" process

I wanna use the "Cards" app to send a card, but when i finished all the process and login to confirm the payment, the screen halted on the the "Authorising Purchase" process (shown on the picture) and no longer continue, after 20seconds, it returned to the edit interface, without any error message. Anyone know what happened to that? thx!

Often, the Firefox app will close, but the underlying Windows process will not and cannot be stopped via Task Manager. When this happens, Firefox can no longer be used...the system must be rebooted. This happens especially when many apps are running but even though there are plenty of memory resources available.
I have tried to find if something is using Firefox in the background, but have no way to know what that would be.
Their are no apparent viruses detected.
Firefox is version v5.0 and occurred in earlier release.
System is Windows 7 (64bit).

well, it's not the same hardware and it's a bit different.
I managed to pass that stage somehow but I still have a problem
I don't use the built-in creator tool that comes with Spyrus as it doesn't know how to append a pre-staged media that was created by SCCM that should apply the Windows file system to a second partition and the WinPE to the first partition.
I managed to do everything. my only problem is that the WTGCreator that comes with SCCM 2012 R2 creates the 350MB partition with FAT32 file system.
when I boot from the device I get the WinPE, I can choose a task sequence and then it fails when trying to apply the wim file. the error tells me that the 350MB partition is FAT32 which is not supported (even though it chooses the second partition, which
is all the rest of the disk space)
what I did was adding another task that converts the 32 Fat partition to an NTFS partition and then the process continues and finishes successfully! but that's a workaround.
I'm trying to make this process as smooth as possible without having additional steps

Quit the App Store app and reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Why has Cards app started showing euros at checkout when it didn't yesterday?

I have been using the Cards app on my iPad2 the last few days to send cards with no problem. Today I am trying to send more cards but at payment area it keeps showing the euro symbol instead of the dollar sign. I have location services on and always answer that it is USA in the address area. What's going on and how can I correct this?

I had a similar issue. This was my solution:
WARNING - this will delete previous cards and you will have to start from scratch.
Uninstall the app from your iPad2 (touch and hold the icon until it 'wiggles' and then touch the x in the upper left corner to delete)
Reinstall the app from the App Store. (If you look under purchased apps in the update tab, you should see it listed or search for it.)
It should now be set to US$ again.

Why does iDVD store stuff "all over the place"? Project now broken

Hi all,
did an hour long family movie project, and in the meantime cleaned up my documents folder and deleted some stuff that I thought was internet downloads etc, or extra working files.
Turns out it was the important audio stuff for iDVD!
I've broken my project... the stuff was obviously important, and now when I open this project it has a big broken chain on it.
Why does iDVD store important stuff "all over the place" like that? I mean, it's confusing enough (for newbies) to learn where the events and where the projects are stored, but why does it strip off the sound and store them in documents where ANYTHING could get deleted?

Just to add, an iDVD project should be thought of as a shell, an empty container. It has references to the media files used in it, but does not actually contain these files. The files remain in their normal locations. When you burn to disk, or create a disk image file, iDVD pulls these files just for encoding onto a DVD disk or into a disk image file. It does not really move these files into its project files. Your iMovies, photos and audio files remain where they are. If you move, change, rename or delete any of these files, iDVD will not be able to locate them, and you will see the broken link images.
For this and several other reasons, it is a good idea to leave everything alone and not go deleting any files until you have finished your iDVD project.
Then, when you are ready to burn it to DVD disk, be sure to do a 'Save as disk image' to create a disk image file of the project. This process looks like the burn process, and the encoding will take just as long, but the end result is a self-contained disk image file, not a burned DVD disk.
The advantage of the disk image file is that you will have an exact copy of your iDVD project with all the media files encoded into it. You now can safely delete all the media used in this iDVD project without losing the project. Now you can clean up your documents folder! Deleting all the files used in the project will also save you drive space.
You can save disk image files as backups and can move them to external drives or other computers. You can burn DVD disks from disk image files using Disk Utility or Toast. You don't have to worry about your burned DVD disk breaking/melting or having something spilled on it (kids in the house!). You can always get the disk image file and burn another copy. (Great for the relatives who somehow 'lose' the great DVD you made for them!).
You cannot edit the disk image files however, so you should be creating one only when your project is completely finished.
If you wish to save all your iDVD files while you are working on a project, you can archive your iDVD project. I have not found the need to do this, but the link J Keller gave you for the tutorial explains how to save as archive and as disk image. Obviously, the archive project will be larger since it is saving all the media. Archived projects can also be moved to other drives or computers.
Hope you can recreate your project.
Note to J Keller: the video tutorial was quick and gave the brief how-to and why. Nothing complicated.

New Radeon 5870 graphic card putting graphics all over the screen

Just put in Radeon 5870 on a early 2009 Mac Pro running the latest every thing with a Mac screen. It starts up well and then graphic lines all over the place and bits of the screen missing. Is it the card, the Mac or could it be me.

Why does my audio jump all over the place after detaching it

in iMovie HD you could extract audio then work with clips over it, in 09 I can't do anything. I extract/or detach the audio, but it is still attached or something. if you put a clip in the project widow the whole thing moves over, not just the video. So I saw the tutorials and they said you can replace a clip. but no window opens up over the clip??? any help

After detaching audio, it is easy to drag the audio to some other place in your project.
If you want to put clip A on top of a portion of clip B while keeping the audio from clip B, this is easily done. It is called a cutaway in iMovie 09.
First go into iMovie Preferences and turn on the advanced tools.
Select clip A so that it has a yellow border around it. This can be from the Event or from the Project.
Now drag clip A and drop it on Clip B at the point where you want the cutaway to begin.
A popup menu will come up. Select "CutAway"
You are done, but you can fine tune it if you like.

Why do some apps not work with the new ios update

i tried deleting andstarting over again(e.g : Hay day) but still ! I'm reallllllllly getting sick and tired of this ... Not even to mention how many times the browser(Safari) has stopped working and froze since i started typing this message ....

you may need to update the particular apps that are causing you crashes. Go to the app store and tap "updates".
You can also do this via itunes, click on "apps" on the left, then updates on the top and update all. then re-sync your phone.

Our app wend down over the weekend and I found an expired certificate.

Since 8/1/2014 we have been running an app in Azure. I helped the company who wrote the app launch it in azure and since have been managing our users and such. But, over this Thanksgiving Holiday something happened... I came to work Monday and my phone is

Why do I get "cannot open" for the second video I stream on my home share?

I have home share setup with the latest available iTunes 11x, and I have tv shows I've purchased from iTunes that I try to watch on my ipad. I can often watch one show, then when I go to the next video from my iPad I get a message that I cannot open the video.
This will persist until I reboot the iPad. I don't consider this a long term fix, any suggestions?
I also have an Apple TV, and this seems to stream fine from my home share.

Open Pictures folder and move the files named lrcat-journal and lrcat.lock to Desktop.
Make sure that , they are not inside Pictures folder any more and try to open backup from Lighrtroom and check..
Any LRcat file with .lock extension , move it to Desktop.

Sessions is worked out from processes automagically by Oracle, setting processes sets sessions higher.
You didn't mention how big the value of AWE_WINDOW_MEMORY was - it defaults to 1Gb. Don't forget, the whole point of using indirect data buffers is to shift your buffer cache out of the 2 or 3 Gb limit and into that available juicy RAM. But that buffer cache is accessed through memory blocks that are still in your 2 or 3Gb process limit (which is why it's called a 'WINDOW'!).
So if you set use indirect data buffers to true and didn't set AWE_WINDOW_MEMORY explicitly it defaults to 1Gb, which will use the same amount of process space as not having indirect data buffers and setting a buffer cache of 1Gb! Thats 1Gb gone of your 2 or 3Gb limit!
The trick here to maximise returns is to have AWE_WINDOW_MEMORY set to the smallest value possible to access your block buffers without incurring excessive un/map operations, so you eat up the smallest amount of that valuable 2 or 3 Gb process space and access all that extra RAM.
An example (numbers are made up): Say you have a buffer cache of 500Mb. You turn on indirect data buffers and find out you need a AWE_WINDOW_MEMORY of only 128MB to access a buffer cache of 4Gb with no problems.
That means you've just saved 372Mb of your 3Gb process limit that can be allocated to something that MUST come out of that space, which is mainly:
1) process memory for threads (ie more sessions)
2) the PGA (so more memory for existing sessions)
3) the shared pool (to hold all that nicely bound SQL)

Why partner function description cannot see in the billing item?

I have created a new partner function with description and assign this partner function to the billing partner function procedure.
When I create the billing document, in the item level, I can only see the partner function name, but description is missing.
What is the reason?

In the SD module personal numbers addresses are determined to be
the address of the personal area.
If the personal number is assigned to a sales office or sales
organisation the system shows the address of the sales office and
if there is no sales office the address of the sales organisation.
If you have no sales office or sales organisation assigned and is
not assigned to a personal area, the system does not determine an
address.
Please maintain the assignment and the address should be displayed.
If you want the private address of the personal number to be displayed
you can use modification note 63258. Please consider that
this may conflict with data security.
