Why my epson 3800pro doesn't center the print

Hi,
I have a interesting and very annoying problem. Why my epson 3800 doesn't center the prints on the paper anymore?
Using this printer for more than two years now and all of the sudden regardless the paper size and the settings the i
mages are centerd for an 8 1/2 x 11 ratio. Spent nearly 2 hours on the phone talking to Epson support repairing
disk permission, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer, reconfiguring and so fort. Still, every print is off center.
In the printer dialog everything seems fine; when seting up the printer and paper size the image on the screen
adjust's accordingly but the print still comes out wrong. The technician on the phone suggested - maybe just wanted
to get rid of me - that it's something to do with Photoshop.
Anybody has an idea what could be wrong?

Which paper is it? I did a search on the Canson range and could not find an 11x14 paper. The closest I could find is 11x17, like the other paper makers. Did you cut the paper down to 11x14 yourself? If so, Tai Lao has a good question about whether the measurement dimensions of the cut paper are correct, it would be good to double-check.

There is a paper sensor in the 3800 (I use a 3800 too, with no problems centering). The paper sensor is optical, and can be misled by existing ink on the paper. Especially black. Is your paper blank, or something already printed on it? If your paper is already printed with a significant dark area near the edge, the sensor might assume that the paper doesn't actually begin until it finds white. If this causes the printer to change where the print head starts on the paper, this can cause alignment problems.

The Apps usually only work with wireless printers, though if its free, there is no harm in trying, and see if it gets picked up, but its doubtful, as the print server would need to transmit in the same protocol the Brother Print App is expecting from the supported wireless printers.

If there are no drivers for Yosemite you might be in trouble.. HP will tend not to support printers once they are EOL.
Getting it running over wireless rather than USB might be worthwhile.

Just select Photoshop Manages Color, and the printer driver color options should be disabled.

Why photoshop CS6 doesn't send the print order with the Mitsubishi CK60DW?

The printer driver works because I am able to print on other applications, but that is not the case for Photoshop. Photoshop is able to print with any other printer but not with Mitsubishi's. There is no error message or anything, when I click the button for printing it works as if it would have already printed but nothing appears on the print queue list and nothing happens at all. Does anybody knows what could be the problem? The OS I'm using is Mac's Mavericks

About the only thing I can suggest is to click on "Print Settings" and see if anything looks off.

Doesn't Recognize The Printer!

I've got Canon Pixma MP250 printer today, and downloaded drivers for Snow Leopard from Canon website, but later found out that the CD supplied with the printer support installation for OS x 10.6. When I finished installation I plugged the printer into USB port on Mac Book Pro, went to the System Preferences , clicked Add in the Printers pop up, but in the menu it simply doesn't shows up. The printer I mean! There is nothing to add, It is blank.
What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried a different USB port on the computer?
Are you using a "bus-powered" hub (does not have an independent power supply)? Those are often the cause of connection failures, as they fail to provide enough power for proper communication. Often, switching to a "self-powered" hub (has its own power brick) will fix printing issues.

Why do i need to turn off the printer and restart it every so often to get it connected and ready?

E-print works great when it's connected but it keeps disconnecting and I need to re-start the printer in order to print what I've sent it from my cell phone. How can I fix this?

In that case I suggest you to print HP Network Configuration Page and make a note of the Printer IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway as printed in the page.
Next open Internet Explorer browser and type the printer IP in the address bar and press Enter key. This will open printer information web page also known as EWS (Embedded Web Server) page. Here click on Network. If the printer is in Wireless, select Wireless and one of the settings displayed talks about Manual IP configuration.
At this setting select Manual IP and enter the Printer IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. Then select Manual DNS and enter the following addresses
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
Save the settings and turn OFF and turn ON the printer. Try re-enabling the webservices and check the result,

FF doesn't open the "print" menu or the "open file" menu after updating to 27.0.1 on WinXP

Can't get to the printer selection dialog box when going to file then print... Instead I get a windows critical error sound but no messages. Same when going to file then open file... Tried uninstalling and reinstalling fresh version 27.0.1 but get same results. Also was not able to "browse" for files when trying to do email attachments. For now I have uninstalled version 27 and loaded version 26 and all is working.
Running Windows XP pro SP3 have reproduced on 4 pc's all running winxp pro sp3. Rolling all of these pc's back to version 26 fixed these problems.

Hi lcatoire, did you just update from Firefox 27.0 to Firefox 27.0.1, or did you jump straight? I will message you a link to install Firefox 27.0 so you can reinstall that if it was working for you.

Why when I delete a document from the print que does it not delete?

When I send a document to my hp photosmart printer and there is an error, I go in to delete the document from the print que on my hp laptop and it shows it as being deleted but nothing happens and I can't print any other document. How do I fix this?

If your problem is not resolved please read this post then provide some details. What exactly is your printer model? (There are hundreds of Photosmart models...) What operating system? How is the printer connected?
All the Photosmart printer models except the first one had a "cancel" button on the front panel. It may be easier to press this to cancel the print job rather than deleting the print job from the spooler. The cancel button is typically marked with an "X"; pressing it will stop printing and discard the remainder of the print job.

New to Macbook Pro - it doesn't run the printer install disc?

I am new to Macbooks generally and have a 2012 Pro - I am trying to intall the set up disc for a WIFI printer/scanner and the disc whirrs around helpfully but nothing actually happens...such a simple thing....help would be much appreciated. [The manual for idiots says put in disc - run as instructed on the screen....well I would love to do just that...}

First, ensure that the Mac is at the latest software level. Run Software Update in System Preferences and do a Check Now. Have it install anything yet amiss (for instance, you state to have 10.7.4, SU will surely offer to update to 10.7.5). Apple has been updating printer drivers from HP, Lexmark and a whole slew of makers lately.
Then, after making sure the printer is accessible to your Mac, go ahead and create the printer instance in the computer. USB cable, ethernet cable, wireless; however it is your printer communicates. Open System Preferences / Print & Scan, see if the printer isn't listed already (USB printers set themselves virtually automatic). If not, click on the plus button ( + ) under the left column and go about locating your printer. Options are Default (aka Bonjour, printers announce themselves on the same subnet), IP (need to know the IP address of the printer, may need to print out a configuration/test page to ascertain) or Windows (as shared by some nearby Windoze computer). Once the printer is found and selected, let the Mac "talk" to it and see if the proper driver is automatically selected. Then, when the instance appears on the left column, click to select and use the various buttons and controls on the right to finish configuring the minutiae: paper bins, media type, features like duplex printing, etc.
For instance, we recently got an HP 5200tn LaserJet. Without having to download anything or even touch the install CD that came with it, the Mac was able to find it, set it up and even offer me a full configuration panel from where I can completely manage the printer. All these goodies were already on the system after the latest round of updates from Apple.

Photosmart 5510 MacBook Pro with OS 10.9 doesn't see the printer on network

Keeps giving error message that the printer is offline....in the setup process it says set up successful but unable to locate to printer on the network....i didn't change anything, unless there was an automatic update done somewhere/sometime recently....it was working fine. The self test on the printer for wireless passed everything!  iMac and iPad see it & print to it!!
please help me!!
oh, yes, it shows up in the printer device list twice: once as HP 5510 series when connected by USB and once as 77A267 with everything unknown but state IP connection....this is the one that says offline and unable to locate on the network.
I have tried all the steps listed in the forum proposals to no avail.

I understand the printer is appearing offline although you can print from the iPad and iMac. I see from your message that you have already done some troubleshooting, but I am not sure what you have tried. I recommend using the steps below if you have not already.
Reset Printing System
Click the Apple icon (   ), and then click System Preferences.
In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
Right-click (or  Ctrl  +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Repair Disk Permissions
On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
Double-clickDisk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
Once the repair is complete, restart the computer.
When you add the printer, please ensure you are using the HP driver, not the AirPrint driver.
Select Add other Printer or Scanner
Select the printer you are adding and next to 'Use' you can the printer driver
If this does not resolve the issue, please take a look at the following document, 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Will Not Print.

Double-clicking on midi region(s) doesn't center the playhead - why?

This issue is driving me nuts:
Say I have the playhead parked at bar 20 in the arrange window and want to examine the midi notes on all of my tracks in THAT bar. I have 8 midi tracks. I double-click on a midi region and the piano roll opens in the window at the bottom. Sometimes is shows the playhead parked at bar 20, but most of the time it doesn't: it is way off to the left or right of bar 20. This happens when I examine the remaining 7 midi regions by double-clicking on them as well.
If I can't see the playhead, then I have to mouse and scroll and mouse and scroll to get to see the playhead.
It would be much less time-consuming if every midi region I double-clicked showed the playhead in the center of the piano roll, where I parked it at bar 20. After all, THAT is the measure I am examining on every midi track.
Can Logic do this?

For some strange reason, only the percussion parts are not showing bar 20...

Why notify/notifyAll method doesn't resume the waiting thread quickly?????

I am currently working on a socket based IM server, I get messages from multiple clients simultaneously and put them into queues, for each queue in my server I have a separate listener running in a thread, as soon as a packet comes in the queue (from any client) it��s related thread is notified to get that packet from thread and process it.
Here I am using wait/notify blocking mechanism to control loop in my listener thread. My logic works like this
1)     When Listener thread starts it calls the synchronized getNextPacket method on that queue if the queue has any packet (i.e. it��s length is greater then zero) then it will remove that packet from the underlying vector (NOTE: I am using Vector to contain packets) and return that packet to listener thread, else if queue doesn��t have any packet (i.e. its size is zero) then I will call wait() method which causes the listener thread to wait.
2)     Now when any client adds some packet in that queue using synchronized addPacket( ) method I first add that packet in the underlying vector and then call notify()/notifyAll() to awake that listener thread, which again calls the getNextPacket() method and this cycle continuous like this.
So multiple threads (clients) are adding data in the queue using synchronized method, only one listener thread is getting data from that queue using a synchronized method again �� .
This approach works fine but sometimes I have noticed that the listener thread doesn��t resume just after notiy() / notifyAll() has been called , sometimes it resumes after a long time sometimes it even don��t resume (after waiting a long time I assumed this).
Solutions I tried
1)     I did set the listener Thread��s priority to Maximum but facing same problem again.
For better understanding I am also sending you the code for my queue class and it��s listener thread.

in my previous programe i have seen a starange behavior , my processor thread sometimes processes the later message before the message came before that in queue here is an output of my debug statements
