Why my file suddenly closed with mouse movement?

Why my open pdf file suddenly closed with mouse movement, it happened all the time when I open a pdf file.  Please help! anyone know the solution?

Hi ntsai01,
Does this happen with all PDFs or any specific one?
Where are you trying to open the PDF, on a local drive or via some email, etc.?

  • On my Cinema Display the screen is blurry and shifts with mouse movement.

I have had this screen for a year and a half and only use it once a week in my remote office. This morning I noticed blurring on the screen and the whole screen shifts up/down, left/right with mouse movement. Please help. I am getting a headache.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Rob

    Press Command-Option-8 once or twice.
You have Zoom on. It is controlled in "Seeing" in "Universal Access" system preference, and by Control-Scrollwheel.

  • Display Jitters with Mouse movement.   Any ideas?

Cinema 23 HD Display jitters with mouse movement.
This just started happening. I don't know what's causing it, but my display jitters back and forth with mouse movement. Left and right. As I move the mouse the screen moves two pixels to the right or left when I move the mouse. After 2 pixels it stops.
    Very irritating.
I don't have any extra displays to determine if its the card or the display.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

    Hi-
Sounds like you may have accidentally turned on "Zoom".
Open System Preferences/Universal Access. Turn off "Zoom", and things should be normal again.

  • Can PDF files be included with a movie on iDVD?

I'm using iMovie to create a movie of a presentation recorded by video camcorder, and that effort looks to be promising so far. When the iMovie editing is finished, I want to burn the presentation on iDVD as a digital seminar.
My hope is to provide copies of the handout (six pages of A4 text and images) that accompany the presentation on the same DVD recording. I'm thinking that if PDF documents of the handout could be included on the DVD, they could be simply opened and printed out. I've discovered that PDF files can be imported to iPhoto, but it appears only to produce single-page images, and I'm not sure how they could be printed out to full size A4 (which I would prefer). The original documents were created on AppleWorks 6.2.9, if that's helpful.
    1) Can PDF documents be included in an iDVD recording?
    2) Can they be printed out as full size (A4) documents?
    3) Is there another way of going about this?
    4) Would providing a separate CD with 'print these' documents be simpler?
    Thank you in advance, Isshi.

    1. Yes. You can add these PDF's to the dvd-rom section of the dvd and can be accessed from your mac or pc. But they will not play back on most set top dvd players or TV's.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes but it is more costly. One could also use apple's FCS / DVDSP.
    4. Not necessary. Just do it on the same dvd using iDvd.
(Btw, you may want to consider using Pages as opposed to AW 6. I too use AW 6 but sometimes have issues opening an older document. Pages does not have these same issues).
Hope this helps but if not just come on back.

  • Clips moving visually when zoomed in with mouse movement

    Hello,
I am experiencing a glitch with the visual placement of the clips in Final Cut Pro X.
When I zoom in to the maximum level, the audio and video clips move visually. I can therefore not determine their exact alignment. When I move the mouse over the clips (a physical mouse by Logitech) without touching any other controls, the clips stutter around, and shift their apparent location.
I am using a brand new, maxed-out iMac and have restarted the program, and computer several times. This happens in all of my projects and not just the project in which I first noticed the problem.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    BillMilgram wrote:
With the OS Update to OSX 10.8.4, this problem went away.
Luis, it is a 2013 27" iMac with a 3.4 GHz i7, 32 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 ram, an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 680MX 2048 MB, and has the 768 GB SSD drive.
    Thanks for your replies guys!
I am glad the problem was solved. My guess is that the update included a new driver for the graphics card that may have solved some bugs.

  • Files Suddenly Missing with strange size behaviour

This morning I was looking at one of my work folder and noticed some subfolders were missing, upon looking further in the subfolders: basically everything was missing — except files that were locked. I checked the root folder where all the missing folders used to be and the file size was 31GB, which was about the correct size if everything was in there.
I did a 'ls -a' in terminal and only the locked files were listed.
I did a Permissions verification and Disk verification and it reported no problems.
When I restarted my computer hoping it was just a weird bug, the folder was still the same with only the locked files there, doing a Show Info to check the file size this time returned 30MB which was just the locked files.
I've done research but haven't found much useful about why this would have happened and how to recover it! I'm quit anxious about this since the last backup I made was about 4 weeks ago.
The only thing that has been different was that this week I used another MBP to access my computer via Shared files, but I logged in as the admin so that I could read and write files remotely. I did not do anything other than copy and write some files (I don't think I did anything in the folder with missing files) from the other laptop. I can't imagine how this would cause so many files to be deleted.
What's the best way to recover such files? I know the extension of the missing files — most are the same few kinds of file.
Is there a log somewhere that might reveal what program/process deleted the files?
Is there a log to see what files have been deleted?
I appreciate anyone reading this and any help in advance.

Ok I have deleted and rebuilt thumbnails files to no avail.
What appears to be happening is that aperture is using the wrong file-path for the affected pictures.
    I keep all pictures arranged by date order so for example where the correct file path for an image would be;
    Raid Zero/Pictures/2006/0609/060928/pict3722
Aperture is giving a file path of
    Picture Library/2007/0712/071223/_DCS1023
in the manage referenced files pane it shows the wrong path as above, the thumbnail picture is of the wrong file but the thumbnail name and date is correct.
Interestingly since rebuilding the thumbs it is now possible to reconnect to the correct original file whereas before the reconnect option was not available, however it is only possible to do this one file at a time, the re-connect all function does not work presumably because Aperture is not aware that its filepath is wrong.
Oh dear.... Aperture has just crashed, this immediately after reconnecting 6 files and waiting for the files to update to the correct image in viewer mode.
    GRRRRRRRRR!

  • "Confetti" appears in Firefox, animates with mouse movement over links. What's the problem?

There are bits of "confetti" that appear all over the Firefox window and change positions/color/shape whenever something on the window changes or is animated (mousing over links, allowing a cursor to blink, active video in the window.) Colors vary from blues, brown, purple, pink, and reds.
I've noticed that this problem does not replicate in other web browsers (others being IE and Chrome). I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but that does not appear to solve the problem.
This problem only occurred after watching "The Daily Show" today and has been persistent since, even on other websites with video. (Sorry John Oliver, I wish it was something else.) However, there are no "confetti" effects if I activate the video to full screen.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Weird display artifacts immediately make me think of possible graphic driver incompatibilities. Not sure why results would differ between embedded Flash and full screen, but... I suggest disabling hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and, if that doesn't help, in Flash.
    (A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    (B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
    Any improvement?

  • Unwanted Mission control openings with mouse movement

Many times Mission Control will open when I make a fast movement up or down with Magic Mouse. It's happening more and more, and very annoying.
ais there any way to turn it off? I can't figure out what iscausing it.  Thanks - Rick

It's caused by a double-tap with two fingers on top of the Mouse.
You can turn it off in System Preferences > Mouse > More Gestures tab > uncheck Mission Control.

  • Sudden strangeness with mouse and keyboard

I know this is a commonly talked about topic but I feel my case may be a bit different. I have the same jittery mouse problem as well as the display not turning on like everybody. Strangely though, I've had no problems at all since I went to 10.5.2. I think I went two weeks without restarting. All of a sudden though, it went haywire. I've had to restart three times today, after a clean streak of two weeks. If it keeps up I'm going to go crazy. Anybody know any newer fixes or details on this?
For the record I tried the whole turning the AirPort off trick and the mouse jumping was even worse than normal, so it's not that.

Having issues as well with the pointer. It jumps, stutters, jitters. Whatever you want to call it. I have tried a wired Mighty Mouse and just bought a wireless Mighty Mouse this weekend. Still having issues. I have even tried to use just the trackpad with no mouse, same problem. Tried repairing disk permissions with disk utility. The only thing that seems to work is a restart...for a while. I was having wake-from-sleep issues before 10.5.2, then everything seemed to work fine for a few weeks. Now the jitters.
    Any ideas?

  • Acrobat Pro custom stamp keeps duplicating with mouse move

Using Acrobat X Pro if we add a custom stamp to a PDF document, every time we move the mouse (or onboard pointer) it duplicates the stamp in a new location.  This is new behavior & didn't used to do this.  Anyone ever see this before or know of a fix?

It sounds like you have the option to keep the stamp tool selected ticked on, which means that after you apply a stamp it will automatically generate a new one. If you want to disable it right-click the tool and untick the "Keep Tool Selected" option.

  • Why hiMac has suddenly slowed with frequent beach ball

    Hi
I am having terrible troubles with my iMac.
About a month ago the hard drive become pretty full (only about 5GB to spare). I transferred off my iPhoto library and now have about 100GB free. At about the same time I downloaded the Aperture trial and it spend about 2 days processing the old iPhoto library non-stop.
Since then - with the exception of a week or so when everything seemed fine - the computer has been behaving very unreliably, with frequent beachballs even doing the simplest things such as using Safari. I've had to just turn it off a number of times as the beachball has not seemed to go away.
A couple of times when the computer booted it briefly (5-10 secs) displayed a white screen with small black squares (about .5cm*.5cm) sprinkled around it and random look grey splodges in places.
After reading a number of forums I have tried the following to no avail:
    Verifying/resetting permissions
Resetting the PRAM and holding down shift on startup
Creating a new user account (same beachball problem)
Checking the disk and hardware by holding down D from the install disk (no problems found)
Downloading and reinstalling the latest 10.6.5 combo update (it didn't install due to an error - I tried twice)
Checking activity monitor for free internal memory (same problems even with at least 1GB free) or processes hogging the CPU - nothing apparent
    Deleting various caches
Making sure all software updates are installed
    Using Clicktoflash
The computer is practically unusable now. It reminds me of when my internal hard drive broke on my Powermac G4 but I can't be sure as I haven't lost any data and the hardware check didn't identify any problems.
BTW when I installed Snow Leopard I installed it on top of the original Leopard.
I see a number of options:
    1. Reinstall Snow Leopard from scratch and try using Migration Assistant to gather in what I need
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard and just copy over what I need from the Time Machine disk and hope I don't forget anything.
    3. Reinstall Snow Leopard and use the Time Machine backup (though this would presumably just copy over any flaws which are causing the problem)
    Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for your help! I really appreciate it....

After the HD has been replaced I would recommend doing a clean install and then restore from TM. I would also recommend prior to installing the new HD to use a second external HD and make a bootable clone of our internal HD. Redundant backups are safer. I'll tell you a recent war story.
Recently I decided to do a clean install and wanted to restore from TM. I did my install and restored from TM only to find my TM copy was corrupt! Because I had a bootable clone I was about to boot from it and then restore from that drive therefore not losing my data and applications.
To create a bootable clone you need two things:
    1. External HD (don't use the TM drive!!!!!)
    2. Software, either SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner. CCC is free but offers no support, SD is $28 but offers support. I prefer SD myself and have found the support excellent on the rare times I've needed it.
