  • Why cant i restore my iphone and why does it keep turning off and on by itself

    hello all
i just would like to know why my phone keeps turning off and on by itself
and why i cant i restore it on itunes
    many thanks
    al

What worked for me, is going to the camera app, switch to video, turn on flash, and record.  Let the phone record for about 10 minutes.  (your phone will probably keep reseting itself) but that is okay, let it reset, and go back the the camera app and repeat.  what you are supposed to do is let the phone sit there and wait for the back to feel sort of hot. stop recording at about 8 minutes and plug your phone into itunes, it should be charging, and once you do so you can then set your phone into DFU mode.  This might not help you, or it will.  I just fixed my iphone today, that had the same problem as you.  so keep trying and it will come back to normal again!  Cheers!

  • IPod nano 3rd gen turnes off and on by itself

I have a problem: my iPod nano 3rd generation turns off and on by itself every 5-7 seconds.
How can I solve this problem?

Is there a case around this iPod? It might be pushing on the touch wheel. Does it happen when you flick the lock switch? If so it seems like a restore is in order
    Try the 5 r's http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/nano3gen/

    Possible reasons are
    1. Loose Battery
    2. Faulty motherboard
    3. SIM card  (is it an original Micro-SIM or did you get it cut?)
    4. Excessive heat (a buggy a background process?)

  • My volume keeps turning off and on by itself. It vibrates and the bell picture pops up without me doing anything. It doesn't matter if I have the selector switch on or off for volume. Any ideas?

Can anyone help me keep my volume from turning on and off automatically?

    Hi Friend,
I have faced this issue yesterday, but just for one app. Then I went to Notifications Center, turn all the settings of that app to off then turn it on again. Rebooth the device (press and hold Home and Sleep button simultaneally until turns off the device and appears the Apple logo), then everything works at a glance.
    Hole it helps

  • Why did my ipod turn off and become unresponsive?

I have owned a Blue 32gb iPod touch 5th generation since december of the year it was released. It was functioning properly. However all of a sudden, without warning it became unresponsive. It was in sleep mode and i was waiting on a text. However when i attempted to unlock the screen, with the home, and then the lock button nothing happened. I also plugged my ipod in to charge, even though i know it had about 60% battery. Nothing happened. I logged into my icloud on my computer, and it said all devices were offline. I attempted to turn my ipod back on several times to no avail. Nothing i have tried thus far has worked.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
