Why my Ipad 2 battery is draing quick?

Hi! My Ipad 2 32gb 3g battery is draining very fast. For 25 min it goes from 100% to 90%. I have bought this Ipad on May. I have let the battery drain down to 0% and then doing a full charge to 100% but it doesnt work anymore. What should i do?

What are you doing on the iPad in those 25 minutes ? If you watching videos, and have 3G, wifi, location services, email fetching going on in the background then the battery will drain quicker than if you are just reading an ibook in airplane mode. There are tips on maximising battery life on this page : www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html

What kind of ipad mini / ipad 2 you got?
    AFAIK,
    1. ipads drain battery with 3g/4g on (regardless on wifi or not) 1% overnight.. so for 7 days .. 65 is about correct.
    2. Are your ipads setup to receive remote push notification? (more push = more battery drain.. as the screen lit up)
    3. With iOS 6 vs iOS 4 .. there are more stuff running in the background and more toggles.. that could also contribute to battery drain.

  • My iPad mini battery dies super quick

Anyone have a. Solution to solving this issues with my iPad mini battery?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Why my ipad 2 battery won't charged to 100 but only 50

Hi guys, I just bought my iPad 2 a month ago and now realized it that the battery life only 50 . It was 100 percent when I first charged . Then it dropped to 90 , 85, 75 NOW 50 . I bought my iPad with my dad but his iPad doesn't seem to have this problem .

    Have you read this:
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html
Unless someone else has another idea, all I can suggest now is that you take your iPad to an Apple Service Center.

  • Having downloaded ios7.1 to my ipad my battery is draing faster than I can use it. Tried all the tips suggested to save battery life but with no success.....help!

Has anyone else found this too

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.
turning of locator and the push notifications from facebook--they have a lot!

  • Why does the iphone5 battery drain so quickly

My iPhone 5 is great; unfortunately the batter drains in no time.  I end up recharging it twice to 3 times a day.  I wish I had kept my iPhone4.

    I would try these things
    1. Go to settings/general/reset and tap reset all settings
    2. Run the battery completely flat then charge for at least 2 hours.
    3. In settings/iCloud swipe the safari slider to OFF
    4. Look at Notifications for apps and turn off those you do not really need.
    5. Choose a shorter Auto lock interval
    6. Fetch emails less frequently

  • I think I know why my battery is draing pretty quick

I just rang Applecare and spoke to a senior adviser and he said if I'm charging my iphone4s with my iPods  charger that can make your iPhone or iPads battery drain so quickly now this has happen is there a way to fix the battery issue and I so I was told do not charge your iPad with an iPod charger because it could damage the iPad and iPhone

that has always been my main point when people ask me why I use linux.  I have it set to do *exactly* what I want it to do, when I want it to do it.  yes, it takes time and dedication, but I also always saw a computer not so much as a vehicle to let me do x, y, or z, but as a real swiss-army-knife type of tool, where I have a set tool for graphic design, programming, browsing, etc.  Each tool is beneficial, each tool needs proper care, and so on.
When other people ask me if they should switch to linux, I ask them, not only how much time and willingness to learn they're prepared to use, but also what exactly their expectations are. Most people (coming from windows) dont really know what they want, because they're used to taking what they get (from microsoft and other companies) so a lot of the time I think they don't know how much choice they have (and responsibility to make those choices).  Most people coming from other OSes I think come with the mentality of "what's linux going to give me that I already get from microsoft/apple?" instead of taking the approach of "what do I want to do with my computer now that I have the tool to set it up how I want it."
kudos to you for setting up as your mother needs it.  You could make a good business setting people's PCs with linux as they need it, though it would take time and dedication on your part.

  • WHY DOES IT SAY BATTERY NOT CHARGING WHEN I TRY TO CHARGE MY IPAD??

WHY DOES IT SAY BATTERY NOT CHARGING WHEN I TRY TO CHARGE MY IPAD ???

How are you trying to charge it, via a computer or the wall plug ? If a computer, then a lot of computers (especially older ones) generally do not provide enough power to their USB ports to charge the iPad at a sufficient rate - it may still be charging slowly, and should be a bit quicker if the iPad's screen is off (if you leave it for a while and then disconnect it from your computer you may find that it's battery percentage has gone up). The wall charger is usually the most efficient way to charge the iPad.
If the wall charger then have you tried a reset to see if it charges after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If that doesn't work then have you tried a different charger and/or cable ? Do you know anybody else with an iPad so that you can try their charger and cable and they can try yours ?
And for info typing in capitals is considered SHOUTING.

  • Why is my battery draining so quickly after updating to Mavericks?

Why is my battery draining so quickly after updating to Mavericks?

    1. Check the cycle count of the battery. It may be due for replacement. If the power adapter is connected almost all the time, the battery may need replacing even though the cycle count is not too high.
    2. Follow these instructions, or these for OS X 10.9 or later.
    3. You can also try resetting the SMC.
    4. Make sure your system is up to date in Software Update.
    5. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center.

  • Why is my battery drained so quickly on my 4S?

Why is my battery drained so quickly on my 4S, even though I don't use apps/Internet excessively.  It says it should last 6 hours using the Internet.

I had my iPhone use 20% of power an hour before I did the following.
1.) Turn off iAds and diagnostics in location settings:system settings.
2.) Turn off Calender in Notifications
3.) If you have any exchange mail accounts ( I had 3 Gooogle accounts one set for mail and calendar, 2 set for mail only. remember when setting Google server m.google.com or it won't push to the phone.) delete them REBOOT your iPhone then redo them then Reboot one more time.
Result: iPhone batt usage is now 4% an hour. my phone went for 19 hours with moderate (streaming, surfing, recording and viewing movies on camera app) on wifi use before getting to 5%
