Why my iPad 4G GSM-CDMA model cannot recognize my ruim cdma card?
I want to use cdma ruim on my iPad 4G GSM-CDMA model, but when I insert it, there is no respond from my iPad. Not detected. Anyone know why?

Should I go to carriers and ask them to inject my iPad? If that so, then the worstnis the carriers in Indonesia until now cannot inject it to iPad or iPhone.. :-(

No. A CDMA phone can not be used on a GSM network nor can it be modified to do so.

I would like a clarification on Model A1586 (GSM) vs Model A1586 (CDMA). What is the difference and how can i specify that in the online order?
Does both models support both GSM and CDMA or not? I would like to use my phone to other EU countries so will my decision of GSM or CDMA affect coverage?

thanks for your reply but I was not referring to ordering the phone from the US and apple.com.
In addition I do know the difference between GSM and CDMA and do not need to use google on this one.
My question is simple. From Apple.ie store I can order either Model A1586 (GSM) or Model A1586 (CDMA).
However nowhere in the online site it is specified how to select the GSM or the CDMA model.
Also having used the online support chat from Apple they claimed that both models support both CDMA and GSM which sounded strange.
So becuase I am going to pay approx 700 Euros, I would not want to end up with a phone that does not support the networks intended to use within Europe. -

Same issue here both with my iphone 5S as well as my iPad2. THe sync to my macbook air does not complete and it shows a large overcapacity level when connected, but once I disconnect there is plenty of room (4 GB) available, not a 20 GB overage.

If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last few days. If you see the red notification numbers on the App Store icon, you have apps that do need to be updated.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then. -

Apple doesn't manufacture two models with the same model number. The "1429" iPhone can utilze either the GSM or CDMA protocol, depending upon the carrier's system. In the US, Apple offers an unlocked "1428" iPhone 5, for use on GSM networks. I live in Bangkok, and Apple - and Premium Resellers - offer the "1429" iPhone, which can be used on either GSM or CDMA networks. -

I have always found spell check to be "buggy" in every version of all of the iOS's that I have run on my original model iPad and my new iPad - especially when replying and typing posts in these forums. It works perfectly in every other application on my iPad but it has never worked perfectly in any web browser that I have used on my iPad - no matter what I have done to try to correct it. That is what MY experience has been with spell check on my iPads.
As for the crashes on your iPad try these basic troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit all apps and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

yet another forum suggested taking a cleanly shut down model.mdf and model.ldf from another sql server 2008 instance and placing those in the data directory while moving the 'restoring' ones to a backup location. this didnt work either. any help is appreciated im new to sql server and this is very frustrating! thanks in advance!I have the same issue on SQL Server 2008R2, after a server reboot, but none of the NET START commands or command line attempts are successful to start the Service.
