Why my ipad photos gets deleted but the blank album exists?
I am a new ipad user. please advise me why every time my photos which i am copying from lappy is getting deleted but the blank album is not! I am saving the copied photos in diffeent album all the time still its getting deleted in my ipad!
I need old photos as well as the new album am copying ! Please help! I got a presentation tomorrow and i need to copy so many photos to copy from my lappy!
Pictures on Photo Stream remain there for only 30 days by design. So if you setup PS on your Mac and add photos to it they will display on the iPad. However, to remain on the iPad you will have to move them to the Camera Roll (I only have an iPhone and that's what it's called on it) in order to keep them permanently. This screenshot shows the save options on the iPhone when photos in the Photo Stream are seledted. Notice the option in the lower right hand corner:
It probably is similar on the iPad.
Or, you can put the photos in an album in iPhoto and connect the iPad to your Mac. Open iTunes and go to the iPad's Pictures section. There you can select the album in iPhoto and sync those photos to the iPad where they will be in the Camera Roll section.l

My new ipad photos are not in the correct albums
Ok so I got the new iPad, and transferred everything including my photos from my iPad 2 backup. I have about 600 pictures divided into 7 folders. After syncing, I looked at the photos and saw that the pictures are on my iPad but not in the correct folders.
For example, say I've got a Pets folder, Wallpapers folder and Personal folder. Those folders are on my iPad. On my computer, the Pets folder only has pictures of my dog, the wallpaper folder only has some background images, etc. on my iPad the pictures are all jumbled up. When I click on the Pets folder, there will be a few pet pictures, a few wallpapers and a few personal photos. Same for the other folders.
I tried resyncing from the backup and resyncing not from the backup. All with the same result. I also checked the folder I'm syncing from on the computer, and the photos are all in the right place there.
Kind of frustrating. Ever heard of this before and is there a solution?Well I fixed it, accidentally on my own. My pictures were still jumbled up. I had to save another picture from the Internet onto my camera roll, BAM, suddenly all of my photos shifted into their correct folders.
Somehow Saving another picture fixed whatever the error was. In any case, thanks for the help everyone. If anyone else has this issue, try saving another photo to your camera roll. -
When I am syncing one albumn and then another the previous synced photos gets deleted why is it so?
That is how it works. Synced photos can't deleted directly on the iPad, instead that are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you need to select and sync all the photos that you want to remain on the iPad on each photo sync

when updating my ipad air to iOs 8 my 2 albums on iphoto were deleted since iphoto is no longer supported. Anyone similar experiences? Any chance to get back my albums (not only the pictures, but the actual album with text etc)?

The following data will migrate from iPhoto to Photos.
Any photos in your iPhoto library that aren't already in Photos are added.
Image adjustments you made in iPhoto are migrated to Photos.
If you applied image adjustments to photos synced to your iOS device from iTunes, a duplicate of each photo will be created in Photos with adjustments applied.
Photos hidden in iPhoto do not appear in the Years, Moments, or Collections views in Photos, but are placed in an album titled Hidden.
Photo Books, Web Journals, and Slideshows are converted into regular albums in Photos. Text and layouts are not preserved.
Only projects created on the device performing the migration will be converted. Projects you synced from other devices to iPhoto via iCloud must be converted from the devices on which they were created.
Photos marked as Favorites in iPhoto are marked as Favorites in Photos.
Tags and captions from iPhoto are not displayed in Photos, but you can use them as search terms and they will show up respectively as Keywords and Titles in Photos search results.
Flags from iPhoto are converted to the keyword Flagged. -
Can someone tell me why can't I delete a picture of a text message conversation? I touch and hold a picture in IOS7.0.3; I touch More, I click the picture(s) and I click the garbage bin. The picture gets deleted, but then it comes back in a second!
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

If I delete a backup icon for an old iPhone on my iPad will it delete all the photos saved from that phone in my iCloud??

It won't affect any photos in photo stream but any photos within the back up itself will go. -
How come although iPads are getting more powerful, the iOS apps from apple are so mediocre and just not that great? We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.
First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
I downloaded Magzter app button iPad 2 but when I buy magazines it is not getting downloaded but the same is getting downloaded in my iPod. Pl help. Magzter support is unable to help.
You will not be able to see what version you are running until the iPad is activated. It will be in Settings>General>About >Version when you can get to the settings app.
The slider bar that you are describing sounds like the screen lock side switch and that has no bearing on setting up the iPad or connecting to WiFi.
Why don't you try rebooting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again and see if the iPad will recognize and join the network. -

No. The photos will remain in iPhoto on your computer. You are just deleting them from the iPad.

I choose to restore from a safety backup in iTunes. It works ok, but iTunes is still asking to restore the iPhone. Why can't I get to syncronise the phone?
I can't get the menue I am used to in iTunes. It only states "Klargjør iPhone" (Norwegian). Something like "Start up your iPhone". I've done this several times, restarted the iPhone and my computer, but I can't get ready to sync... The phone is working ok and my backup data is restored into the phone.Hi there,

When I use Preview,Photo Mechanic and Pages, all JPEG or RAW images appear corrupted.
I thought my hard drive was failing and replaced it and migrated everything over but the problem still exists.
It felt as if maybe a virus was at work but I ran Sophos and found nothing.
I store images on my Drobo Raid system but when I work from my Macbook Pro I have no issues, just on the tower.
Any idea what is going on?First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

I assume the photos have made it onto the iPad through syncing with the computer with iTunes, yes?
Then you should sync again, but first remove the photos you don't want on the iPad anymore from the selection of photos to be sync'd.
You can delete them on the iPad, but (a) next time you're syncing they'll be back there again unless you excluded them then, and (b) you probably need the space on the iPad for stuff that's also coming from the computer via sync - so then you can do it all at once by modufying the selection of what shall be sync'd.
Hint: This is the forum for iPhoto as in "on the Mac". Since you're referring to iPhoto for iOS and seem to have a PC, not a Mac, you should post in the dedicated forum for iPhoto for iOS. -

Yes, it's an old one, but I started to send texts to the wrong recipients recently, and the problem is still up to date !

We are all responsible for what we say and do, but that doesn't mean we should have the ability to delete our mistakes. It's not like you can delete emails or phone calls or even physical mail.
Very often, and that's actually why I searched this thread, I send a message to someone else than the one I thought. That's life, I mean, this is not just about agressive people. I would appreciate to be able to recover my mistake, and to not bother the wrong recipient, cancel the message. Plus, it can be something confidential.
What is the meaning of a mistake if we don't have the chance to recover it ?
Even the law, includes this aspect : « Is it the first, second or third time he did this ? » — I don't know in the US, but in France it's the case (and we use same iPhones).
This is one of the radical aspects of Apple I dislike, and on this point particularly, I disagree with you, because, I think, a mistake should be recoverable.
If, for example, I send a very rude text to someone, and then realize it was too much, I want to be able to delete it, because I changed my mind.
But if I consider it normal (maybe I should not) then the recipient will still be able to report me.
That's my opinion, and just wanted to share it. A mistake should be recoverable.

Okay, i have 2 bugs with maverick. First, when I delete a file within a window, the files deletes but the preview doesn't delete until I close the window and reopen it. Second, I work on a network of computers and the search feature is now buggy... When I search for a file, A) it asks me if it's a name, or it wont produce anything, and B), its slower than in prior OS versions and in some instances I have to toggle to a different directory and go back to my original directory in the search: menu bar or the search wont produce anything... Very buggy.
It appears to me that network file access is buggy in Maverick.
In my case I have a USB Drive attached to airport extreme (new model) and when I open folders on that drive they all appear empty. If I right click and I select get info after a few minutes! I get a list of the content.
It makes impossible navigate a directory tree.
File access has been trashed in Maverick.
They have improved (read broken) Finder. I need to manage a way to downgrade to Lion again. -

YEs, you can now delete the iPhoto Library, but if you want yo do this to gain disk space, you won't see much of a difference. Reason being that both Libraries merely point to the same image files on your disk via hard links.
For now, I would suggest moving the iPhoto Library to an external disk "just in case."
