Why My iPad when some app want to update.. Didn't show.
1 True, they are not selected.
2. I am not autosyncing.
3. Auto load to iPad is a setting on the iPad under store. I should not have addeded that.
4. Once I select any tag, other than Apps which is selected, I get the message. If I check books, it removes the movies I have on the iPad. If I check movies, it removes the books I have on the iPad.
5. I do have auto syncing turned off.
Basically, it iTunes Sync is requiring me to remove either the movies or books already on the iPad in order to check the box.
Another thing I noticed is that when I look in the Books section of the iTunes Library, there are over 50 books and PDF files. When I go into the iPad to do the sync, only a small portion of these books show up as selectable when I choose sync only selected books.
This is a new iPad, and on my old iPad 2 I had no problem adding any of the books to it via sync. Not sure what is going on but I guess I will call Apple Support

What happens when you try to download those apps ? You haven't got an app age restriction set in Settings > General > Restrictions on your iPad ? If you are getting an error message then what does it say ?

Mavericks is a free update - if you're seeing a charge on your account, that does sound like an error.
It's not uncommon for a $1 or so charge to show up on your account - this happens just to make sure you have a valid card on file. It will generally go away fairly quickly.
If you need to dispute/clarify a charge, head over here to contact Mac App Store support.

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.

I love my iPad, but am mostly a pc guy. I installed an app for a magazine, deleted the App as I only wanted to read one month, and now the app wants to update even though I no longer use it nor want it. On top of that I can not find clear information on how to completely remove the app and get rid of this constant update for a ghost app. I have been led to believe the Mac is god, but on a pc I can completely remove an app. Gone. Also, why does the volume control on the iPad work backwards?

Without more information my guess is you subscribed to the magazine and haven't cancelled it.
I'm not sure what's upside down about the volume button, up turns it up and down turns it down. Maybe they have down for up and up for down on a PC. -

Did you try quitting the App Store app and restart the iPad?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If you are running iOS 6 you can try this. I saw this tip for users that could not "see" anything in the App Store when they first updated. I have no clue of it will work for you, but if you're running iOS 6, its worth a shot.
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off. -

What do you do if you have bought a used iPad and the apps won't update without the original id and password. Can't delete the apps that come with the iPad and reinstall them so what do I do?
Correct. An app can only be updated under the Apple ID that was used to orginally acquire the app. If that is a problem you can delete the app and download again under the new userid. If you paid for the app you will have to pay again. Your old Apple ID does not go away so there is no reason to not use it to download the apps.
You cannot delete the apps that came with IOS. If you want to "hide" the apps simply put the apps into an application folder by dragging one app onto another. You can do this to all the IOS apps. -

Hi I gifted an application to Someone. And now when that app has an update will it update with my apple ID or the persons ID I gifted the app to..?
If the person downloaded with their own AppleID from a gift card it will update using their AppleID. It is tied to the AppleID used for the download.

Yes - did not used to happen this way, but started after one of the updates. Once the download completes, the 'regular' app icon should show up. Nothing to worry about.
