    Where was the iPhone purchased?
If the iPhone was designated by Apple to be sold in a middle eastern country that restricts FaceTime, the iPhone won't include FaceTime.

Because governments don't want you moving these satellites around. They already have them positioned where they want them .

why the iphone 4 does not have sound when I watching the recorded video?

Have you turned up the volume?
Try the buttons, or the bottom audio slider.
Does your phone normally play audio?
And have you tried to record and audio note to check if your microphone is not faulty.

My iphone 4 does not have the facetime icon

FaceTime is not a separate app on the iPhone. You access it through each contact.

  • My IPHONE 4S does not have FACETIME

FACETIME is no where on my phone.  When I go to settings I do not have the option to turn it on, because there is no option for FACETIME.  When I go to the contact list, FACETIME is not an option on any of my contacts (including my IPHONE 4 contacts).
So far all that I have read is that all the IPHONE 4 users atleast were able to turn on and off the FACETIME setting.  I do not have that option at all.

    Hi,
    Check this:
Settings->General-> Restrictions (enter passcode) and check if FaceTime is on (blue).
Ga back to settings and check if Facetime is now in your settings menu.
If so: Choose Facetime and turn it on (blue) and enter your Apple ID

NO. It is a problem caused by the fact that the phone came from a country where FaceTime is illegal, as you have been told several times. There is no way to add FaceTime.

  • My iphone does not have facetime on it.  I've tried going into restrictions, but there's a passcode that doesn't seem to be one that I've used before.  Is it possible to reset the phone and then just restore a portion of the old information?

My iPhone does not have Facetime on it.  I've tried going into restrictions, but there's a passcode that doesn't seem to be one that I've used before.  Is it possible to reset the phone and then just restore a portion of the old information?  I've tried several pass codes and now am locked out for an hour after being locked out for 5 minutes and then 15 minutes.  It said that I had tried 7 pass codes prior to these, but I don't remember ever trying to get into restrictions before.
I've looked up other posts on this, and my phone was purchased in the US and does not have an AE in the model number.

When you have access to your iPhone again, FaceTime is a pre installed app that cannot be removed.

I purchared an iPhone 4s from Dubai and find that it does not have FaceTime on it.
The phone is now used in Europe.
How do I get to instal FaceTime please?

The iPhone from Dubai will never be able to have FaceTime. The iPhone country of origin (serial no. and imei no.) is the culprit. The government there has banned FaceTime.

  • HT1976 why is my iphone 4 does not have cellular data network only cellular data

why is my iphone 4 does not have a cellular data network and apn only cellular data without apn settings, thanks

    # Settings > Refresh apps on background. I would suggest to completely turn that off
    # Settings > Privacy > Location tracking > Only Maps, Google Maps are allowed to use location tracking in my case, you could also turn that off completely or be very selective which apps can use your GPS.
    # Settings > E-mail, calendar .. >deselect 'Push' and set it to either Fetch e.g. once an hour for all separate e-mail accounts you have. In your case you could set it to Manual so you won't use any data as long as you won't open your E-mail app and manually download e-mails.
It could also be that there is still an app running in the background as i had. See also this post.
In that case you need to dive into the Settings > General > Info > Diagnostics and Use >
Diagnostics and Use >logs per app to determine which app isn't closed although you turned off your phone (or even in my case reset to factory settings  without backup). It's unfortunately pretty hard to find the app that is causing this. Therefore i wish Apple would come up with a better solution for this to see which processes/app(s) should be killed (now the best solution is removing the app completely).
