Why my Iphone won't sync to my itunes?

Ever since I updated my Itunes my IPhone hasn't sync, anything, pictures, music, it won't back up my IPhone. I have uninstalling then restalling Itunes. I have tried just about everything.

As I recall any playlist that uses a rule such as Media Kind is not Podcast (now) tends to fail to sync whereas using Playlist is Music has more success. Precise details escape my memory but esentially any referenecs to the podcast property means the playlist won't sync via the Music tab.

    Hello katey1717
If you are getting the repeated prompts of asking to authorize your Apple ID, then check out the article below to resolve the issue. Make sure that you go through and remove the SC Info folder and try to authorizer again as that resolved it for me when I had that issue.

  • Does anyone know why my iphone 4s wont sync with my itunes

Does anyone know why my iphone 4s wont sync with my itunes

    What year and model?
I own a 2007 GL with an iPod adapter. My iPhone couldn't charge or play music through the adapter until the 2.1 update. After a complete new restore of my iPhone, the iPhone's music will play, however, as I expected it will not charge. Regarding BT through the MHI Puck, the iPhone will sync the Contacts & Call Lists, I now have full control through the steering wheel controls, and sound is much better than the 2.0.x FW. Through the 2.1 update, I effectively had reset all network and BT connections; be sure to reset all of your settings on the iPhone and re-pair it again, if you use a BT MHI Puck. And, be sure to wait a bit - the first pairing took about 3 minutes, the subsequent pairings are complete in about 20 seconds.
Not available on this side of the pond (yet, AFAIK), MBZ has an iPhone 3G cradle adaptor for a lot of the newer MBZ vehicles (sadly, not the GL). Mercedes' part number is 204 820 23 51. The cradle plugs into the UHI connector (option 386). More at:
    http://www.emercedesbenz.com/Jun08/19001204_Mercedes_Benz_Hearts_The_iPod_New_Cradle_Allows_Further_Integration_Into_ The_VehicleArchitecture.html
I'm waiting to see if someone comes up with an adapter to the existing system's iPod connector.

  • IPhone won't sync/mount in iTunes

I just noticed that my iPhone won't mount in iTunes. The iPhone makes the "i'm plugged in and charging" noise and shows the charging screen but never goes into sync mode.
I've rebooted the phone, laptop, and even tried two other cables still to no avail.
I'm also not sure if this happened after installing Snow Leopard because I only plug my iPhone into my laptop once a week and usually just walk away while it backs up and syncs.
Any suggestions? I can't even restore my iPhone.

Try reinstalling itunes on top of the current itunes (do not uninstall itunes),

  • My iPhone won't sync with my iTunes because it says I need to download the latest version of iTunes, which I already did. I've tried to redownload multiple times but it just keeps telling me I already have it downloaded.

I keep plugging in my iPhone to my computer, but iTunes says it does not recognize my phone and won't sync because it needs the latest version of iTunes (11.1 I believe?) to work. I have already downloaded the latest version of iTunes, and I have retried multiple times just incase and it says I already have the latest version downloaded. What can I do to make iTunes recognize my phone again?

    Hey there RMBrizzolara,
It sounds like you have downloaded iTunes from the download site, but when you connect the phone to your computer you are prompted to update iTunes to 11.1. I would start by opening iTunes and then verifying the version that is running with this article:
iTunes: How to find which version you are using
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1208
    On Windows
    Open iTunes.
On the Help menu, click About iTunes. A window appears with scrolling text. The first text that appears displays the iTunes version (press the Space bar to freeze the text if it's moving too fast for you to read).
Also when you download the iTunes installer, you MUST double click the file that was downloaded to install it.
You can check in your Programs folder and try running the iTunes application from there to see if that works.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Song bought on my iPhone won't sync to my iTunes Library

I bought a new song two days ago on the Wifi iTunes Store from my iPhone. When i connect the iPhone to my computer (iMac 10.4.11), the song won't transfer to my iTunes Library. My setup :
iTunes set to "Manually manage music and videos" (as proposed by an apple support guy before)
"Transfer purchases" menu does nothing. Nore does "sync" (of course).
The song still appears on my iPhone ("Purchased").
Let me add that this is not the first time i buy a song from my iPhone and sync it.

Yes sir ! Same account everywhere.
While i was waiting for an answer, I found a way to get my song in my iTunes library by using DiskAid.
Next time i'll experience the same issue, i'll try de/re-authenticate.
    Thanks

  • My iPhone won't sync with my iTunes

For some reason, when I plug my iPhone into my computer it Comes up with ' The iPhone Cannot be synced, the required disk cannot be found'
It was working fine last night and I have not changed any settings on my phone or computer. I've only had the phone for one day!

Restart your computer and your phone.

  • IPhone won't sync songs to iTunes since 3.1.2 update

    Strange issue.
    - I updated to the new 3.1.2 this evening.
    - I was prompted after install if I wanted to sync up some songs that were on exclusively on my iPhone to iTunes (I clicked yes).
    - Now, all the songs that were on my iPhone (all previous purchases from my computer through iTunes and uploaded to iPhone at some point) are unavailable in iTunes because it says my computer is not "Authorized".
    - I get prompted to Authorize my computer. I authorize it. Then get a message saying "This computer is already authorized".
I've Deauthorized and then authorized my computer in hopes that this will help but to no avail. The songs on my iPhone are still ONLY on my iPhone and unable to sync to iTunes. These are still listed in my iTunes library but they have the exclamation mark next to them and cannot be located on my hard drive or sync'd back from my iPhone.
Any help or guidance would be much appreciated!

Resolved. This had more to do with synching up with a new laptop just purchased (and authorizing against an older account name) than it did with 3.1.2. The problem wasn't identified until after I had downloaded the new iPhone update however.
All is well in the world

  • Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)

Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)

    Hey lozza567,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues sending MMS messages. The following resource may provide a solution:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
Issues with sending and receiving MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
    - An iPhone 3G or later.
    - iOS 3.1 or later.
    - A cellular data connection. MMS isn't available if you are using only Wi-Fi.
    - A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You may need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information.
    - A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network different from your billing cellular provider's network. Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps first
    1. Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
    3. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
    4. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you are roaming on a cellular provider network different from your billing provider's network.
    5. Verify that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar at the top left of your iPhone.
    6. Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
    7. Verify that you can send and receive SMS. If you are unable to send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above.
    8. MMS may not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
    9. Restart your iPhone.
    10. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
    11. Reseat your SIM card.
If you are still unable to send or receive MMS, follow these steps
    1. Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you are sending a group message.
    3. Make sure that you are using the area code with the contact's phone number. When sending messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
    4. Verify a "Pay as you go" MMS plan has enough available balance. Contact your carrier if unsure of your MMS plan or available balance.
    5. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
    6. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
    7. Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
    8. If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process may not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
    9. Contact your carrier to verify that you are provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
    10. Contact your carrier to verify that there are no blocks or filters placed on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
    11. Your carrier may require APN settings to be modified to use MMS. Learn more about when you should adjust APN settings.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • IPhone won't sync after upgrading to Leopard

My iPhone won't sync, or even show up in iTunes, after upgrading to Leopard. I've tried restarting my Macbook Pro, trying different USB slots, closing and reopening iTunes, everything. Has anyone else had this problem??
    I've tried everything apple suggests:
    1. The iPhone battery might need to be recharged. For information about charging iPhone, see "Charging the Battery" in the iPhone User's Guide.
    2. If that doesn't work, disconnect other USB devices from your computer and connect iPhone to a different USB 2.0 port on your computer (not on your keyboard).
    3. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: If you enter the PIN incorrectly three times, you may need to contact your carrier for a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK) to enable your SIM card again.
    4. If that doesn't work, restart your computer and reconnect iPhone to your computer.
    5. If that doesn't work, download and install (or reinstall) the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes.

You might need to remove and reinstall the Apple Mobile Device Service. Follow the link below for info on how to do this.

  • HT1386 iPhone won't sync with iTunes. It says iTunes can not add songs to iPhone because no songs in iTunes library can be copied to iPhone. Help!!!! What should I do

iPhone won't sync with iTunes and It says iTunes can not add songs to iPhone because no songs in iTunes library can be copied to iPhone. Help!!!! What should I do. I tried everything!
I need to add my music to my iPhone from iTunes but its not working!

First off try and go into your IPhone manually through My Computer and cut photos or anything you can through the device to be able to free space up so that you can continue to do what you want to do with ITunes. This way you will be able to create a backup or do what you have to do to manage your information, photos and texts on your device a little better.

  • My iPhone 5 ios7, won't sync music with itunes 11.1.2.32

My iPhone 5 ios7.0.3, won't sync music with itunes 11.1.2.32.
The Sync starts and finsihes but no changes are made to the content on the iphone. No files transfer. Tried both wifi and cable sync.

Sorry, but this doesn't work either.  Thank you for the response though.
I originally tried the Manually Manage Music and Videos and even though I selected what I wanted to copy and then clicked the Sync button.....nothing gets copied over.   I then tried copying over my entire library (and I expected the phone to explode since my library is HUGE) and clicked the Sync button....nothing got copied over.
I have uninstalled iTunes, reinstalled iTunes (and lost half my library thank you Apple).
I have deleted my iPhone backup.
I have updated my iTunes (not that there were any new updates).
I have updated my iPhone (not that there were any new updates).
I have changed and tested every single setting, every which way possible and NOTHING works.
I can sync movies, pictures, apps - no problem whatsoever.  But music?  Forget it.
I hate the iPhone and I won't recommend it to ANYONE.  All I wanted was an all-in-one device to make my life easier and this is NOT IT!  This should not be this hard and as far as I'm concerned, Apple failed BIG TIME.
