I have the same problem.
I also need both devices to detect each other because some software like scrabble require the bluetooth connection so play. I am also using Conference and Remote (recommended by Apple!) which are also able to use the bluetooth connectivity

I have a UK ipad2 with 3G and am going to the USA. I want to get a micro sim from AT&T so that I can use 3G in the USA. My question is that I know that I will need to sign up for an AT&T account on my Ipad.

The iPads here take a sim card. We were advised by an Apple Store Employee at home that this model would work in Europe and that we could buy our service here. That does not seem to be the case. We have been told that we must invest in a modem at 200.00€ and then purchase a separate service plan for each country. We can use the free wifi wherever it is available but we cannot connect to the outside world when out of range. Is there anything else we can do?

5 Apple machines don't see each other with Bluetooth

I was hoping to use my keyboard with my iPad in the garden today, but they didn't connect.
To try and find out which machine is faulty I brought in all our Apple's with bluetooth: my iPad1, an iPad2, my iPhone 4, an iPhone 4S (all with the latest software) and my keyboard.
To my surprise each and everyone failed to see another machine.
'Searching' was the message on all the displays, and after some 10 minutes I gave up.
Anyone any idea what might be wrong here? I don't understand any of this.

Well, I wouldn't expect the iOS devices to see each other over BT, unless you were going through the Personal Hotspot feature. Those devices don't connect to each other over BT for any other purposes except tethering. You can connect them over BT from within certain apps for specific purposes such as transferring photos but, again, the connection is done from within the app.
So, the only real issue here is why the keyboard won't connect to the iPad. Is the keyboard currently connected to another device such as your computer? If so, disconnect it.

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo.

Why Apple does not ship the iPad/iPad2 with a simple calculator app?

I just wonder what are the rationales, if any, behind the exclusion of a calculator app from iPad.

Tried to sync ipad2 with itunes and got an error and now ipad frozen with usb cable/arrow/itunes logo.

I'm trying to sync music from my itunes library on my PC to my ipad2. During process got an error(don't remember #) and then it went to backing up. Now the ipad is frozen with a usb cable coming up to a white arrow and then the itunes logo. The ipad will turn on and off but nothing else. Any ideas?

Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad.

and in the case of ios devices an app made by the printer maker
not sure if hp support their bluetooth printers on ios devices but if they do it's with an app you get in the app store

RIM has taken a bit of a cloud approach on this. If you use gmail, you can install Google Sync on your blackberry. This will sync your calendar (and contacts if you wish) up to the cloud, and then when you enable it on your playbook, down to there. I'm using this setup, and my BlackBerry, PlayBook, and Google Calendar are always in sync no matter where I make the edit or change.
Why RIM didn't implement a method for imporating this data, no one knows. But if you really wish to just view your BB data, you'll have to use Bridge apps for now.

Why can I only connect to the web with Safari and not Firefox or Chrome?

I recently reinstalled Snow Leopard and now I can't get online using Firefox, Chrome or any other browser besides Safari. I've never had this problem before now.

Firefox and Chrome might have different proxy settings, you should be able to let them use the same settings as Safari though.

No. Ipads cannot be upgraded. They are what they are when you buy them. So make sure you get what you need.
You can however buy a Wiif + 3G iPad and not activated the Cellular service until you want to. Its alittle more expensive, but it gives you the choice of having cell service shoud you want it down the road.

How are you trying to connect? If you go to Settings-General-Bluetooth, is Bluetooth set to ON? Does the keyboard show up under Devices? If you select it, do you get instructions on how to pair with it?
If the keyboard does not appear under Devices, be sure it has a fresh battery and is turned on.
