Why my laptop don't play my music cd auto?

Hi,
The following only applies if you're using Vista or Windows 7, not XP.
First, try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below.
Windows 7
Vista
Check if the drive will now play CDs.
If it still doesn't, click the Start Menu, open All Programs, open Accessories, right click the Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'. In to the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
sfc /scannow ( note that there is a space between sfc and the / )
Let the process complete, then type exit and hit enter.
Next, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it now plays CDs.

Why is it when I play my music it would stop in the middle of the song?

I bought music from iTunes and everything was great and normal until a couple weeks later when I decided to play my music again. For some strange reason whenever I play a song it stops right in the middle of it. It pauses itself and I would have to keep pressing play over and over again. I don't ever recall getting water on my iPad or anything. I have no idea what the cause could be. I updated my iPad and did what I could from my knowledge but nothing is working and I thought its time to hand this problem to the experts. Is this iPad broke? Do I have a strange bug? :'( idk but I'm sad and need help

The file is most likely corrupted.
You can delete the song from you iPad then resync your iPad.
Or if that doesn't work you can try to delete the song from you iTunes Library and redownload it from the iTunes Store.

Why all pictures don't play in drop zones?

I have asked this question before, but still my pictures don't play in all the drop zones. Very simply I drop 4 pictures in 4 drop zones (Theme 5.0, Wedding White). Only three pictures show up in the loop. I change the length of the loop but nothing change. Basically, what is the reason of having 4 drop zones if only 3 play?

My 'Wedding White' also plays only three pictures, but there is a fourth possibility for the heart shaped button.
This button normally links to and plays the first few seconds of the main movie, but you can play any video clip you like in the button by option-dragging a clip over the button and dropping it. I prepare special clips for this using Quicktime Pro.
Be careful! If you simply drop it without the option key, the button will 'see' the drop as a new movie to link to, instead of the main movie.

New laptop unable to play purchased music

I have recently upgraded my laptop to a macbook and have transferred all my files etc across.
When I came to sync my ipod it said it was unable to sync my purchased music as this computer is not authorised to play it. How to I change my settings to allow my previously purchased music on my new laptop?

Have you authorised the new MacBook yet and do the songs play in iTunes? If you have got it authorised and it's not transferring songs then try deauthorising it and then authorise it over again: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation

Network don't play my music from Itunes

Hi everybody on this line...
I have a wireless network with one Airport extreme and two Airport Express in my flat. One express is in the living room and one express in my bedroom -both connected with speakers.
If I play music from my Powerbook the music is playing perfect - both in the living room and in the bedroom. But if I play music from my Itunes from my minimac the music start and stop al the time and you can't hear the music.
Both machines are using the same network.
What is the problem?

The mini's antenna, as you can tell, is not exactly stellar for performance. It's possible that it may not have been installed properly inside the unit or that it is defective. Some people have reported luck with placing a metal object, like a microphone stand on top of the mini to get better reception...or using an external transceiver. Since your mini is new, I suggest you have your local Apple retailer have a look at it to rule out any antenna issues.

Why won't my albums play from Music icon

Thought is should re ask this question more clearly. When i try to play an album from the 'music' app nothing happens (ipad2). It will play songs and song lists but not albums. Very odd especially as iPad is less than a week old and it was working fine yesterday. Does anyone have any ideas? This is all new to me -and up until this problem I was super happy with the whole iPad experience.....

Have you tried closing the Music app completely and seeing if you can play albums when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Music 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Why is my iphone only playing purchased music after updating to ios8

My iphone 5c is only playing songs that I have bought on iTunes. My phone is skipping over any other songs and having them appear as though they are currently playing. It started doing this a week after I updated my phone to ios8.

Seriously, check your settings and volume. I just tried it on my 4S and it works fine.
Go into Settings, Maps and check that the volume is on. Also check to make sure you have not muted the phone somehow.

Front Row Won't Play Slideshow Music (iTunes)

I created a slideshow in iPhoto and selected an iTunes playlist as my music source. When I play the slideshow from Front Row the music does not play. However, if I play a photo event from Front Row the default music does play. Why won't my slideshow play the music?
Please advise.

Front Row in Mac OS X 10.5.x has been broken the whole time. It used to work fine in Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger). Front Row will not play an iTunes playlist during a slideshow if the playlist contains more than one song. You can use a playlist that only has one song in it, but then you might as well just choose a single song instead of a playlist! I would suggest you send Apple some Mac OS X feedback:

For what it's worth, iPhoto seems to work fine with slideshows and iTunes playlists with more than one song.

Why did my mac stop playing sound?

Anybody know why my laptop isn't playing sound anymore? I have check the audio in settings and everything looks normal minus the master volume. It won't let me touch that and adjust it...ideas?

What version of OS X are you running? Which MacBook Pro model do you have (e.g., 15" late 2011)?
Have you tried going to System Preferences>Sound and selecting your internal speakers for output? Can you get sound by using headphones?
Just need some more information.

The problem resolved itself when I resynced the iPod with my computer. I suspect the error displayed when I tried syncing with my laptop and canceled out of it.

I was on the same boat, bud! I saw you had the exact same problem as I did and decided to come back to help you out. On another apple discussion page, a user--Charlicharli-- posted a link to download and everything seems to be fine now. Apparently we had to check with Lenovo. We were looking in all the wrong places for the fix!

How can I play the music on my external hard drive with my laptop?

Look before everyone points out that this has been asked lots of times before, I wanted to state that in this particular case it might be a little bit more complicated. You see I think I've been an idiot.
I backed up all my physical music onto my external hard drive, but only the physical music. So now I have my nice new laptop and haven't got a clue how to play the music off my external hard drive, since I don't have an itunes library on my external hard drive.
Anyway any help would be much appreciated.

Am I being a plonker, but it doesn't seem as simple as that. If I try and import via itunes it seems to want me to select the individual music file not the folder which holds all the music.
Also if I simply import it, won't my mac copy the files from my external hard drive back on to my laptop? Which makes me think I change the location where all the music is stored in itunes...?

Why, at the end of a podcast, does it automatically start playing my music?

On a 4S, when I used to get to the end of a podcast it used to go to the next. For a while though it has automatically strarted playing my music from the 1st song. The result is me quickly going mad and hating that song!
Why is it doing this and how can I stop it?!!

Hi Jeff,
First I am not sure if your wife has multiple episodes of the same podcast she wants to listen to or if she has many short individual podcasts. Please note that below my suggestions differ depending upon which situation fits her problem.
I do not have a 1G Nano but I do have an older iPod Mini which I suspect behaves in the same way as your wife's older Nano. I, too, was frustrated in having podcasts play one at a time. I have a couple of podcasts that have daily episodes and each of those episodes used to stop at the end and I had to select the next one to listen to it. This was frustrating because I usually build up a week's worth before getting around to listening to them. Then, by accident I stumbled upon a solution for the Mini. The podcasts also showed up under albums (and artists too) so I set my iPod to play the complete album, selected the podcast I wanted to listen to and was able to listen to all the episodes in that particular podcast. On rare occasion the order of the episodes might get out of chronological order.
If your wife has multiple individual podcasts then she might want to try setting up a playlist with all the individual podcasts she wants to listen to and go with that. Experiment with the playlist idea and the shuffling options of the iPod to get multiple podcasts to play uninterrupted.
I must admit that since I got the Touch for my birthday this winter I don't use the mini as much and am a bit rusty with all the settings of that iPod. My Touch will play through all unlistened to episodes of a particular podcast but will still stop at the end of each different podcast. I have not had the need to do anything drastic on the Touch since most of my individual podcasts are 1 to 2 hours long which is ample time for me to get in a good, long walk!

Playing iPhone music on a laptop using Windows Media Player?

I would like to be able to play my music through my work laptop speakers when travelling. I don't want to sync music in either direction, just to be able to access & play the music files through a standard Windows Media Player. I've searched for a solution, but the only ones I've found involve jailbreaking the phone.
The iPhone is 3G running OS 3.1.2. My iTunes files are encoded as MP3, so the file format shouldn't be a problem.
As the software on the laptop is strictly controlled by the IT department, installing iTunes and my library is not an option.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies. I don't expect it to be a feature of the iPhone, but do expect it to be a feature of the Windows software. After all, the Windows box can see the iPhone photos directory appearing as a removable disk... it's only software, right?
