Do you have the wifi-only iPad? If so the location is based on the location of your wifi router in an Apple database. Your router may have been located in China.

I cannot access my exact location on the maps.

I Have registered in a social media app where it needs to access my exact location. I have tried downloading other map app like google maps but still it cannot determine my location. i tried using other Ipad and they can access thier location And we are using same Router of internet provider. I need a bigtime help. Thanks.

If you have the WiFi-only iPad (which does not have GPS) your location is determined by the mapped location of nearby WiFi routers. A WiFi+Cellular iPad or an iPhone have GPS and can locate themselves.
Without GPS iPad location-finding is done by using a Apple location database which contains the MAC addresses of routers and their physical location. A MAC address is a unique number which is built-in to all network devices when manufactured. No two routers have the same MAC address.
The Apple database is built and updated by Apple GPS-enabled devices (primarily iPhones) actually seeing routers and then adding/updating the router's locations into the database. There is no manual way to request an update to the Apple location database.
Note, to be used for location determination, a device does not need to actually be connected to a router, it just has to see the router and its MAC address. More precise location determination can be done if several nearby routers can be seen.
When a router is moved from one location to another erroneous locations can sometimes be reported until the router's location is corrected in Apple's database. If a router's location has not been added to Apple's database the iPad will not be able to locate its position.

Why did map apps downgrade after upgrading iOS 6?

I expect upgrading OS means every apps got improvement. But why did my google map downgrade into apple map? Does anyone know the reason?

When viewing a location, Google Maps lets you activate a variety of add-on layers offering information like traffic, terrain, transit lines, satellite images, and bicycle routes, among others. Is there an app for the ipad that will put it to sleep on inactivity only when it is not plugged in?

I know that native IOS does not support different setting for inactivity sleep depending on the ipad being plugged in. Does any one know if there is an app that will do this? I would like to keep it from going to sleep when it is plugged in but to go to sleep on inactivity when it is not.

No. You would need to manually reset the autolock when you plug it in to do that.

Why don't app developers give back money when they pull an app?

I Wanted to know why they don't give refunds, especially if they pulled an old game or app. why can't they take the time to fix them? Or refund the money.

Because anyone who's previously downloaded it will still have the copy of it.

Why my "Cards" app cannot go over the "authorising purchase" process

I wanna use the "Cards" app to send a card, but when i finished all the process and login to confirm the payment, the screen halted on the the "Authorising Purchase" process (shown on the picture) and no longer continue, after 20seconds, it returned to the edit interface, without any error message. Anyone know what happened to that? thx!

Just an update... A rep contacted me and we did a screen share. They were convinced that I wasn't full of <insert proper word here>. They promised to get back to me in a few days, and now? A few months later? Nothing.
Still no files. Still no correction... Still no nothing from Adobe.
The person I spoke to was kind, saying he'd make sure I got CC for free for a while...
Still though, no follow up.
Adobe, are you going to correct this or just let your customer suffer at your mistakes?

Use your iPad's Search screen to locate it. If it's truly no longer present, then just download it from the App Store again.

Siri no longer talks on map app, how do I fix

Siri no longer talks on the map app to give verbal directions. I have searched in Settings and asked Siri for her help.

First map a location then get directions to that location. Once the directions come up, tap "Start" to begin navigation. Once navigation starts there is a speaker icon in the bottom right of the screen (if no icons appear then tap the screen once). Tap the speaker icon and you can set the volume level.

My map app cannot find directions between two cities. I have tried resting severally but it still wouldn't work. What else should I do?

Just out of curiosity, what 2 cities?
Try this, search for the first city. Then the second city. Just to make sure your spelling and the map app spelling are the same. Then ask for a route. It will want to end at the second city your entered, and you will need to key in the name of the starting city.
I just pulled a route from Cleveland to Duluth, and it worked fine.

App cannot run on Windows Server 2012 R2

I have an application that runs well on Windows Server 2012. The application has two editions 32-bit and 64-bit, both are from the same code base.
However, on Windows Server 2102 R2, the x64 version of the application works, but the 32-bit version does not run. Invoking the 32-bit of the application generates the "This app cannot run on you PC" message.
I tried the compatibility troubleshooting, and it does not help.
Any suggestion on what could be the problem?
