Why my mbp doesn't photo stream wireless

why my mbp doesn't photo stream wireless

I'll assume you are talking about an iOS device that takes photos.
Check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.  If grayed out, check Restrictions in Settings>General.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.
Note that when photo stream is turned on, only pictures taken from that point on will go to the stream, not existing photos.  For those, sync them to a computer using itunes and USB cable.

Why can't I get photo stream or icloud to work with windows vista?

Have you tried quitting Pages completely, restart the iPad and then go back to Pages and see if they will upload?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • 2 Photo Stream Folders on iPhone - Why do I have 2 photo stream folders on my iPhone? One is accurate and the other is empty. How do I delete the empty one? The empty folder doesn't allow my photos to be synced with my ipad2.

I tried disabling the iCloud on my iPhone and ipad2 and re-enabling in hopes elimnating the extra empty folder on my iphone.  Despite disabling the iCloud on my iPhone, the empty Photo Stream folder remained on my iPhone and the other Photo Stream folder with my pictures was removed.  I think because of this empty folder, my iPad isn't being prayed with my photos. Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

You can uncheck multiple songs by selecting all the songs you want to uncheck, then right-click and choose "uncheck selection".  Also, make sure that you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos" on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings or the sync process will ignore your selections.
You can remove all the photos from your camera roll using Preview on your Mac.  Connect your phone to your Mac, open Preview, go to File>Import from iPhone.  When your photos appear in Preview, select the photos you want to delete, then click on the icon at the bottom showing the red circle with the diagonal line through it (see image below), then click Delete.
To remove photos from the Photo Stream album on your phone you'll have to either reset Photo Stream (deleting all the photos from iCloud) or turn off Photo Stream on your phone.

I have a iMac with Lion 10.7.4. Ive had to turn Photo Stream on several time in order for pictures to download. Should Photo Stream stay on?

That's an all to frequent problem.  Try deleting the iPhoto preference file and then reset all of the preferences in iPhoto. That may do the job.

  • Why doesn't photo stream for iCloud control panel allow network drives?

I have just installed the iCloud control panel for my PC and was very excited about the possibilities that it would open up for my numerous i-devices and large photo library. The simple setup works just fine by putting my photo stream files into the default 'My Pictures' folder. Unfortunately, that is not where I keep my pictues, they are all organized on a mapped network drive (local network). The photo stream options in the iCloud control panel do not allow me to select a network drive as a storage location.
Is the inability to select a network drive for storage a deliberate decision or is this a bug?

I am experiencing the same problem
This is really frustrating!  What is the technical difficulty in making this available?  This disables all users who use NAS from using Photo Stream.
    What a huge oversight.

  • With iCloud Photos why do we still need Photo Stream

After installing Yosemite I set up iCloud photos on my iMac, phones and iPads and it works fine.  Why do I still need or have selections for Photo Stream?  Wouldn't that go away?

I had exported all of my photos from iPhoto and then used the Photos app on iCloud.com to upload them. At this time, only JPEGs are able to be uploaded via iCloud.com. I had a few PNGs in my collection, which I email to myself and using one of my iCloud Photo Library enabled devices saved the photo which uploads it to iCloud Photo Library that way.
Some decisions have to be made on how you export from iPhoto/Aperture and thus which photo versions you'll be copying to iCloud Photo Library. Uploading photos to iCloud Photo Library using iCloud.com does not upload a version that contains non-destructive edits. For example, let's say using iPhoto you did a crop and changed contrast. You then export the Current version of the photo and upload the file to iCloud.com. You cannot then use your iPhone and select Revert to original to get rid of that crop and contrast change you performed in iPhoto. The file you uploaded with the edits WAS the original in this case. You can make additional edits to the photo on your iPhone or iPad and Revert those changes however.
Now, if you like the way your photos currently are in your library and those are the versions you want to work with going forward, then in iPhoto choose Export and change Kind to Current. Then, upload those.
If you want to upload clean, unedited, start from scratch photos, then change Kind to Original when you export from iPhoto and upload those.
The other option is to just wait until the Photos app comes out for the Mac which will more than likely be able to upload all of the nondestructive edits done in iPhoto. In my case, I chose to upload unedited originals. Hope this helps. Sorry for rambling.

  • Why can't I use photo stream on my Windows XP?

I am backing up my iPhone using the iCloud but I realized that I can't access my photo stream from my pc. When I checked the iCloud Help on setting up my photo stream it says I have to have Windows 7 or 8. My computer works just fine so I'm not changing it to 7 or 8.
How can I access it on my Windows XP?

You can't.  iCloud, and therefore photo stream, requires Vista SP2 or higher.

  • Why is the content of Photo Stream different on each device?

I work on a 13" MacBook Pro and also have an iPad and iPhone 4s. I edited my Photo Stream photos down to a tight collection of 220 pictures and fully expected that to reflect on my iPhone and iPad, however, it simply is not the same. The iPad has more than 400 pictures in Photo Stream. I want to set the standard collection my MacBook Pro and have that reflect across all devices. Any suggestions on how to make that happen?
    Thanks!

I beleive when Photo Stream first started it only sent photos to other devices and didn't delete them so you'll have to start fresh. Be aware it can take a little time for the changes to take effect depending on your upload speed of your internet.
I think to start out you'll have to delete all the photos on each device first which will also delete the new ones from the stream. Make an album in iPhoto on your Mac with all the photos in My Photo Stream. Then delete all the photos on Photo Stream on all devices then add all the photos back to My Photo Stream on the Mac.
May I suggest setting up a Shared Photo Stream for this purpose and keep the My Photo Stream for the new photos taken with your devices. Also be aware of the 30 day 1000 photo limits on Photo Stream.

  • Why aren't my accepted Photo Streams showing in my notification center or my iPhoto?

I recently accepted 2 Photo Streams. They showed up in my notification center, and by clicking them in the NC I was able to access them (They popped up in the "flagged" section of my iPhoto). Now, my NC shows nothing and the Shared Photo Streams have not been turned off by the sharer. Additionally, the photo streams are not under the "flagged" section of my iPhoto. Is there a setting I'm missing? Any ideas?

Another quick question: is there a limit to how many times you can open a shared photo stream? Because after opening them a few different times through my NC, they disappeared.

Did you get an answer? I have a TV show, and about ten episodes. 8 of them sync just fine, the last TWO will NOT sync not matter what I try. It is all one show. I even tried making a playlist of the two episodes, and the playlist won't sync either

  • HT4910 why did only a few photos stream to my icloud

I am just trying to figure out this photo stream stuff. I can't upgrade my phone because there is no room. I have it set to send my photos to the cloud but after I marked 350 only 46 are on my computer from my phone. Also, can I delete them from my phone after they are sent?

You can't delete them from your phone or they will be deleted from iCloud and your other devices.  If they all didn't stream to your computer, save them to the camera roll by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  Then import them to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
