Hello, I have this problem. my recently added contact straight away saves to OUTLOOK account, but not to device or iCloud. please help!

To make sure we are on the same page, when you are creating contacts they are not going to iCloud. Start with the article below and scroll down to the Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Outlook) section to check the settings of iCloud and if any Outlook Add-ins may be causing issues.

Hello everyone.
I am new member of this community and hope that someone here will help me to sort out my problem.
I have Backberry Pearl and I have 2520 contacts saved in it. But about 10 months before, I had added 2 very important contacts in it but now I had forgotten the name and number of the contacts I saved.
So, is there is any solution to find recently added contacts or is there is any third party application because I always face these types of problems.

Welcome to Blackberry Support Forums.
There is no solution for this in Blackberry.
But this is possible only i9f you install Zebrost Phonebook i.e.. ZPB Software in your Blackberry from www.zebrost.com or directly from your Blackberry.
After installing zpb, you should follow the following steps for searching recently added contacts from zpb-
1. Go to zpb contact list from your blackberry.
2. Suppose you want to search the contacts that you added in last 10 days, then type a#10, for contacts added in last 15 days type a#15 and so on in your contact list.

How can i organise my tunes in order of ***most recently added to playlist***. Playlist, NOT library!

this is my first ever post on a dicusion board so lets see...
i would like to know how to, if it is possible... to organise my songs of a playlist to show my most recently added songs (to my playlist, not library) at the top and so on.
all of my music has been on the mac for a while so it orders is on date added to LIRBRARY and not when i added it to my playlist.
i want to see my recently added songs of my playlist first.
is this possible and if so can someone help me please!

Hi Mez,
Are you talking about a regular playlist, not a smart playlist?
If you drag a song to playlist to add it, the song will be added at the end of the list.
So to reverse the order and have the most recently added song first, just select the playlist and display it in list view. Click the triangle in the header row of the leftmost column showing the numbers and revert the play order.

Why do my recently added contacts not show up in contacts list, but show up as contacts in a global search of my iphone?

I have an iPhone 3gs
I suspect that its not just newly created contacts that don't show up in my contacts list, but contacts I added through text message or missed calls. Again, they show up as contacts when I search my iphone for their name. I have never backed up my contacts from any of my mail accounts (people said they were having problem with exchange, and I recently deleted my exchange account). I am not using MobileMe.
When I sync with iTunes, and select Sync Address Book Contacts, I have "All Contacts" selected. The option to select "Selected Groups" is grayed out.
When I look at my groups in my Contacts list App, I am viewing under "All Contacts". There are no other group options.
This is a very annoying problem has anyone officially had it solved??

You can, but it's a bit involved and requires using an app. Probably not worth it for only 5 contacts. If you're interested in how you would do this, you would do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup. (If you have more than 500 contacts to transfer you will need the “Pro” version.) Use the app to back up the remaining contacts on your phone (from the other accounts) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself. Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section) and set this to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars…tap each of the other accounts you are syncing contacts with and turn off contacts syncing with these accounts (otherwise you will see duplicate contacts on your device).
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from the other accounts back to your device, and to iCloud.

Why aren't recently added contacts appearing on iMessage?

I recently added a few new contacts onto my iPhone, but these names are not appearing under contacts/iMessage on both my MacBook Air and MBP. Texting from either device works just fine, but on the computers, all I'm seeing are their telephone numbers and not their names.
I've searched through multiple forums to find a solution, but I'm not sure I've seen anyone with a similar problem. I've inked and unlinked accounts, logging in and out of iCloud, did hard restarts, etc. Nothing has worked thus far. Any other suggestions anyone might have?

Can Card be created on the Mac version with just a Name ?
Does then sync to the the iPhone ?
Can you then add Numbers ?
In an Edit is the Number set as an iPhone ?
(I have two other Address Cards that reflect they come from my two other computers - hence the odd name to this one.)
Next in Messages > Preferences > Accounts > iMessages account > Details Button (You will have to Login to view here) Is the country code (Locations at the bottom) right ?
Does this match the fact that the numbers in the Contacts app have Country codes ?

I have Nokia E71 and I have problem in searching a very important contact which I ha added about 14 days ago.
I am very confused for how can I search this contact as fast a possible.
I there is any way to search this contact as I am not remembering any single detail of this saved contact and I have about 750 contacts saved in my cell, so to find one by one each contact is also not possible. So anyone please help. Any paid or unpaid application installation availability is also preferable as that contact is very important for me.

You can search that contact if you install Zebrost from ovi store. Here is the link for installing Zebrost-

After installing Zebrost, go to your contact list and type #a15 if you want to search the contact that you saved 15 days ago and #a20 if you want to search contact saved in last 20 days and so on. You can also search the contact with job title as manager as it searches contact in all fields.

Why are recently added and recently played playlists not showing on iphone 4s when they show in iTunes?

In my iTunes window, the playlists for my iphone 4s when it is connected show correctly. The playlists include 'top 25 most played songs', 'recently played', and 'recently added'. Although they appear in iTunes even after syncing, they do not show on my iPhone and I can not use them (they aren't there). But they continue to show in the iTunes list for the device. This is frustrating because I often like to play my recently added list or top 25. How do I fix this?

Newly added contacts suddenly become strangers (not shared their details with you)

A newly added contact suddenly disappears after a few minutes, it's still present in my contact list, but with the gray question mark and "this person has not shared their details with you", even though in the conversation itself it says "<friend> has shared contact details with <myself>". On the other side, it seems like none of this is happening and my friend can still see my status as if I was their contact (which I am). After re-sending the contact request multiple times (which is instantly accepted, it doesn't seem to even display on my friend's side, he just instantly becomes my contact again) it seems to have sorted itself out and that person is now in my contacts, hopefully for good. Now yesterday I added a new contact and the same thing happens, she appears as a stranger about 10 minutes after accepting my contact request, even though it seemed fine on the mobile app while she was online, but now even mobile considers her as not part of my contacts, and also her profile picture isn't displaying on the mobile app. Note : there is already a thread about this in the Skype for Windows Desktop section, however since this problem has clearly nothing to do with the client you're using and is related to the platform/whatever software runs on Microsoft's servers, I'm reposting this here. Skype for Windows Desktop version 6.20.0.104 running on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, and Skype for iPhone version "idon'tknowwhat because there's no "about" page apparently" running on iOS 8.0.2, iPhone 5S. My Skype account isn't linked with any Facebook nor Microsoft account (it was, but it's been unlinked about two months ago). To avoid this thread the same fate as the linked one, that is becoming polluted by some smart-ass that believes everything is caused by a virus, corruption of the Skype folder in AppData or compromised account, let me state this right now : my password was changed, the account isn't compromised (checked with /showplaces and the only logged in clients are my desktop and my iPhone) and the AppData folder was already deleted, without success (it made things worse my making my entire contact list disappear for 24h, fortunately they slowly came back one by one), so if you have nothing to say please refrain from copy/pasting such useless answers.

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have a similar problem to Andre (from original post a week ago below). I only use Skype to communicate with a personal friend who has recently been posted abroad (Europe) to work. I always sign in via my Microsoft account and have done since Microsoft & Skype merged and I linked the two together. My contact does the same. As my accounts are linked, my friend shows up in my contacts both as a Skype contact and also a Messenger contact. When we communicate, it is normally always via our Skype names although I can see them online under both names. On Friday night however, they came online but shortly afterwards, I noticed that the grey question mark had appeared next to their Skype name saying 'Person has not shared their contact details with you'. They are still showing up ok under their Messenger name as it appears as offline, so I have been a bit confused why this has happened and I haven't yet had a chance to speak to my friend to ask them. I decided to look at the Skype help forum and came across this post by Andre who has had a similar problem, although he says it has happened with a couple of new contacts but his problem has now been resolved. I was hoping someone could help me and give me some advice as to what I should do now. I have checked my computer and have the latest Skype version for desktop installed. I am using Internet Explorer 11; Windows 7 Home version - 64 bit. I also have the Skype app on my android smartphone which has the most recent updated version. I don't really use Skype on my phone although I did log-in on late Friday afternoon but didn't stay on long before I signed out. I have read in posts in the past about corrupted files etc on Skype but because I don't know much about these things, I don't like to mess about with the programs that are installed on my computer because I don't know what I'm doing. Contacts are missing information since the upgrade, how do I get the information back? They were recently added contacts and I am missing info on about 100 of them. Anyone know how I can get the info back?

Itunes said I needed to do the upgrade to the new OS. So I downloaded the new OS and all the contacts that I have added over the last 2 months just have names and no other information. I tried re-syncing with my computer and that did not work and now that info is missing on my computer. Is there any way I can get the information back????

No, you can't downgrade iOS. You should be able to restore the address book on your computer from your backup, though. Windows address book probably got wiped on the first sync after the upgrade completed. It sounds like the iPhone may have been disconnected before the entire restore cycle was complete if the contact records in Windows Address book got munged.

6300 messaging - lose 'Recently added' contact inf...

On 6300 messaging when create message the Add button has an option Recently used.
This always used to show details of those to whom messages had been sent.
It now says'No numbers or email addresses found'

Which version of Office are you using? What is the type of account configured in Outlook?
Since Outlook 2007, categories are stored in the mailbox or pst-file itself, you might want to check for corruptions in your data file by using
Scanpst.exe tool.
Were the categories removed from the Master Category list? You might also want to check if any add-ins that integrated with Outlook client caused the issue.

Why are recently added/changed Notes being emailed to me?

Since the first of the month, any new or changed Notes documents are being sent to my Moble Me email.
I am not using the cloud for storage but backing up to the computer.
Since the recent OS upgrade, there have been other strange things are happening other than this issue.
I had never really looked at setting for notes before, but other than the font, the default account is [email protected] The only other option is "On My Mac"

Have a look under Playlists, Artists, Genres, and make sure you haven't checked something there that collects all her stuff. For example, if you had Beyonce checked under Artists, it'll transfer *all* Beyonce music.
As an experiment, uncheck everything in those three lists, so you *only* have checkmarks under Albums.
