Why My Screen Painter Only can Edit Specific Attributes

In my Screen Painter, i only can edit the item's specific Attr,like Caption,but I can't edit the uniqueID,Type.....
The specific Attr has a EditTxt dialog that i can enter my value,but for the items, it seems disapear. I only see the Attr Name and scrollbar,no edit dialog.

I'm not sure wether I have well understand your problem, I will try to answer anyway.
The UniqueID, Type, Description... attributes are included into the general item characteristics. When you click on an item you can see in the Items tab all the attributes (in the top the general ones and in the bottom the specifics).
I can modify all the items attributes without problem.
Are you using a specific item type?
Which B1/SDK version do you have?

You can still buy iPod Nano 1G accesories (Go to Apple Store > iPod Accessories > Previous Models > iPod Nano ). Of course the vast majority of accesories will work on both 1G and 2G Nanos. There is just half a millimetre difference in thickness of the Nano and the dock connector/ headphones are nearly in the same place it's only a few cases that won't work.
Yes you can buy cheaper products elsewhere. However, my experience of Apple gear over the last 15 years is that it lasts longer and performs better.

How can edit hyperlink attributes?

Adobe Muse 2014: I can't seem to figure out how to change hyperlink attributes such as: remove the underline, changing size or color, or pretty much anything to do with links. I see them under Character Style Options, but don't see anywhere to change them. I know it's going to be a goofy question and that I'll find it right after posting, but I can't find anything online about it.

Go to "Hyperlinks" in your top toolbar. Click the word "Hyperlinks" (which is hyperlinked and shows as blue text). When the little window pops up, click "Edit Link Styles". You should get a "Site Properties" window. Click the "Content" tab.

Changing language of text of field in screen painter

Hi All ,
Can we maintain the text of field in screen painter in different language . For ex: i have same screens in different languages . When i am changing the text in EN language the same text in EN only i am getting in other languages . How can i change the texts into other languages .

You have to do translation of the text in the transaction - SE63
Text fields can be translated. They then appear in the user's logon language. To do this, follow the menu path -> In Screen Painter: Gotou2192 Translation

Expand/Collapse a frame in Screen Painter

Hi,
I have a requirement to implement the Address screen and have a problem to add an collapse icon in a Frame.
I found in transaction CRMD_BUS2000126 window, where the frames are implemented.
In screen painter I can only put the appropriated fields. I want to have the possibility to collapse or expand the frame with address or personal data like on the picture below.

Screen Painter how to, manual or flash book

Is there a screen painter manual, how to or flash book?
I started using it but the help is to simple, for now I want to create a form that will ask for an inventory code and bring in description and barcode field. Then the last field will ask for a quantity, that I will read with my add on to print barcode labels.

Screen painter is very basic. It only creates a screen. So all you do is make a new form, drop things on it like a text box, combo box, matrix and so on. But screen painter itself has no logic and you can't set it to do certain actions.
Screen painter only creates the form. Then you through code must load the form that screen painter created, this form is actually a XML form. Through code you must also apply all the logic.

hi all,
Can anbody will send the step-by step procedure(if possible with screenshots) for learning menu painter and screen painters.

Screen painter
Screen painter is used to design the screens. Using screen painter you can create text boxes, radiobuttons, pushbuttons etc.
Go to se38 and create a program which is of type module pool, then go to se51 give the same prg name which you created in se38 and give some screen number. Then go to layout and design the layout by dragging and dropping the textboxes, pushbuttons etc. then write code in PAI or PBO modules.
In PAI modules you will create code which will be triggerred when u perform some action in the output. In PBO module the code which you write gets triggered before the screen gets displayed.
After writing the code activate the program and create a transaction code in se93 for the program as it can't be executed by pressing F8.

Passing the values from selection screen to screen painter

Hello Friends,
I'm making one report program in which im calling one screen which i have designed, in my selection screen there is a select option for customer tht accepts value range now i want to select all the customers entered in select options and pass these values in screen(screen painter).
pls guide me how this can be done.

Screen painter is a tool in ABAP dev workbench used to create the screens using the
T-code SE51. In the screen painter, you can define the following interface elements with their associated attributes.
1. Input/Output Fields
2. Field Names
3. Checkboxes
4. Radio Buttons
5. Group Boxes
6. Sub screens.
7. Pushbuttons with No Fixed Position
Create a Z program in tcode SE38.
Go to transaction SE51.
Enter the created program name and screen number.
Click on flowlogic tab.
Uncomment the statement u201C MODULE STATUS_0100 u201C.
CASE SY-UCOMM.
    WHEN 'EXIT'.
      LEAVE PROGRAM.
    WHEN 'BACK'.
      LEAVE PROGRAM.
    WHEN 'DISPLAY'.
      SELECT SINGLE Fileds to selsct
           INTO (interanl table or tablename-fileds)
      WHERE Condition.    WHEN 'CLEAR'.
      CLEAR table.

Regarding the flow logic in screen painter

I am a BW guy and i am new to ABAP and i need your help to solve my problem.
I have created a table for master data(zemp_data) in R/3 se11..which has fields like zempid,zempname,zmgrid,zdeptid,zdeptname and i have created the respective fields in screen painter too but my problem is i dont know how to link this fields in the screen painter to the fields in table .to be more clear i want the flow logic or module pool code to link this table when i give an entry in the screen painter for the respective fields..i will really appreciate your answers and award the maximum points for the usefull answer ..as i dont know ABAP much if it is a step by step approach ..that would be helpfull

Please consider the following
In the screen...the fields must be from the database table in Se11..(in screen painter -> use.."get from Dictionary" -> enter the table name -> select the fields -> drag and drop on the screen) or must have the same name in the database table..This will be a link but unless you code to fetch values from database or update values to database there will be no action taking place
Usually in the PBO(process befor output) we write the code to display values before we accept data from the user ie,set default values on the screen if required and prepare the screen for user input
in the PAI of the screen painter we can do data processing ie, data validations,checks and saving based on what the user wants
So imagine you have buttons placed on the screen and there are buttons from standard application bar like BACK,SAVE, set using PFstatus..all the user actions will be linked to a function cod..ie whenever user presses a button we can uniquely idntify what was pressed by assigning a function code to each button in the menu painter or PF status and do the action accordingly
Assume that you have created a push button on the screen painter and assigned it a function code "PUSH"
so whenever you press the button in the variable sy-ucomm "PUSH" will be captured..this you can check in PAI for the screen like
Case sy-ucomm.
when 'PUSH'.
do the needful coding
when 'SAVE'
Modify database table
endcase.
you can check the standard demo programs in SE38 -> program name-> display for basic ABAP coding you have asked for
(1)demo_dynpro_input_output .
(2)demo_dynpro_dictionary
(3)demo_dynpro_push_button

Coding in form created in screen painter

I have created a form in screen painter.How can I do coding in this form.I have added a save button in the form.How can I fire the click event on this button.The file created has extension srf and it can not be opened in asp.net.

Hi Dilip,
Although the file has a srf file extension it is actually an XML file. You can use this file to create an instance of your form through code. In the UI API there is a Application object. This object has a method called LoadBatchActions which takes one parameter which is your srf file (ie the path and filename). Calling this method will create a form in the active UI based on your srf file. You can then create an instance of the Form object in the UI API and use this to manipulate your form through code.
I also recommend you look at the SDK learning material here on the SDN and also look at the samples that come with the SDK.

Problem with Folder created in Screen painter

Hello,All
I created six folder for UD screen with screen painter and i set pane level properties correctly. While running with screen painter we can see each and every item with respect to folder
But the problem is while loading this user defined form in SAP B1 items related with folder is not coming. (Not at all coming any item under any folder) if will run same screen in screen painter items correctly.
is der any coding is required for foder creation and manage

Hi Firoz,
You need to set a PaneLevel for each and every pane and that pane level is what you need to set as the From Pane and To Pane for the individual items within that corresponding pane.
Say, you have a pane with PaneLevel = 3, then, for all the items within that pane, you need to have the from and to pane as 3.

Go to the menu Utilities->Settings in se51 and check the settings and check the checkbox for Graphical Layout Editor.

SCREEN PAINTER-
The Screen Painter is a component of the ABAP/4 Development Workbench. In the Screen Painter, you can define the following interface elements with their associated attributes:

GUI VERSION 640 then i uninstalled the GUI and installed the GUI VERSION 7.10 even though it is showing the same in the SM53 scereen. so plz HELP ME.................................very urgent.

Try to use the Graphical Screen Painter by checking the checkbox in the settings of screen-painter tab in User Specific settings from ABAP development workbench. (Utlities --> Settings). Try this may be it will ok then. Hope you installed all the options while installing the GUI 7.10.
