Held the COMMAND key down and dragged the problem Untitled CD to trash. That worked thanks to all of you who had posted help to previous complaints!!!

How can I remove the no used vpn setting in mac?
I install a vpn app and it set something on my MAC. I want to remove the no used setting left like "VIP-US2-L" at left list. But when I choise one item, the remove button at bottom of the list is invalid.
I think there are some files in MAC system files. And I can modify them to do this manual.But I don't no what files they are or how to do this.This is a guess, but maybe the Manage Virtual Inferface pop-up. I'm guessing as I do not have VPN interfaces, and when I created my own VPN interface, I "Could" remove it using the main [-] button.
Your mileage may vary, and I'm not sure this will do what you want.
You are an admin user, correct? I don't think non-admin users can remove network interfaces.
Do you have System Preferences -> Security -> Advanced -> Require an administrator password to access system-wide preferences set?
Those are all my guesses. -
Can't remove locked VPN Connections installed by HotSpot Shield
How can I remove locked VPN connections under Network? (OS 10.9.5)
HotSpot Shield installed three VPN connections under Network settings. I no longer subscribe to the service and have removed the application, but I'm unable to remove the network connections.
Three VPN connections were created:
"US Server" utahmaps.us
"GB Server" jacketmagazine.us
"JP Server" brainphotos.us
However, all these connections have the padlocked icon beside them, and I don't have the permissions to delete them.
I'm including a screen capture of one of the settings, for reference.
I can set them to inactive, but would like to remove them altogether.
Can anyone offer any assistance?
ThanksI have been looking for this answer also... I found it yesterday. if you go to profiles in system preferences, you will be able to delete those completely.

When I upgraded from 3.XX to 4.0.1, it informed me that 2 extensions were not compatible and it never gave me the option to remove them. Firefox 4.0.1 disabled them and now I'm not able to remove them.
Also they were added by Acrobat Pro X (Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.0) and Nokia Ovi Suite (Firefox Synchronisation Extension 7.3.4.51).
These extensions won't probably be updated unless they update the software that installed them. With this said, How can I remove the disabled extensions? Why it doesn't give me a button to remove them to start with?I think it's not the problem of compatibility. Extensions installed into Windows registry won't have a remove button ( or it's greyed out ). For these extensions, you can have a look into these keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\
If you are under a 64bit OS as I am, you may also try this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\
And you may find the registry entries corresponding to the extensions you want to remove. Just export them to a backup.reg, then delete these entries. Firefox will do the rest, but it seems that fx still leaves extensions.rdf untouched. You can also delete the RDF entries corresponding to those extensions inside extensions.rdf

BUT the Wow6432Node key wasn't mentioned in the above article
I had to search the registry to find out the entry corresponding to a Fiddler2 extension, then I found the Wow6432Node key. I also saw the Nokia Ovi Suite entry beside the Fiddler2 entry.

So clearly the problem is on my Apple ID..
I've changed my credit card details on my Apple ID but it doesn't reflect onto my phone when I login after restarting the phone. Even if i sign out.
When it reaches the part where I would need to verify my phone after entering my password. It just keeps requesting for my password and never shows me anything.
If I click update apps it'll just disable my account. Even on my Mac App store same thing happening. -

I don't want my child to be able to defeat VPN. Can I hide this setting? or can I PW protect it?
iPhones are not easy to use effective content filters. OpenDNS and other similar solutions can control content coming in from wi-fi. However, the cellular phone companies don't provide the predicatable contol or access to their DNS function. OpenDNS has a new program called Umbrella. Targeted at large corporations to solve a multitude of issues, they also make this expensive program available for $20 for single iphone users. It works great on both wi-fi and ATT data (in my case.) However, it can be defeated by simply turning of VPN services.
I would like to find any of the following solutions.
1) iphone VPN that cannot be switched off once enabled.
2) Password protection for the VPN setting - (I think apple goofed by not providing this)
3) The ability to "hide" the actual display of the VPN screen.
Any thoughts from the many with mightier minds than I?There is nothing you can do...there are no apps like that unless you jailbreak your iPad.

Why when i set up folders for my photos do they also appear in the photo library can I only have them appear in the folders and not duplicated in the photo library???
Not sure about the missing photos from the Photo Stream section of 'Recent', however to stop photos populating the events, turn off Automatic Import (iPhoto Preferences > Photo Stream)

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

You do not have to have an Apple TV, but you should have an AirPlay capable speaker on your network.

i originally synced my ipad to itunes on my computer before I found out about home sharing. Since I set up home sharing, can I remove the synced library? It seems to be taking up space and I'd like to free it up.
I don't think I have made myself clear... I have recently upgraded my iPhone 4 to a 5 so everything was set up to sync with no problems at all. I transferred everything across to my new device by iCloud and everything appears as it was on my old device including on the face of it my music library. However, I cannot play all of the songs in fact the majority! When at home I can access the entire library via home sharing but that is no use away from the house. I never had this problem with iPhone 4 and although I am automatically syncing the device to iTunes it is not working. If I try to play songs via the device it skips until it finds a song that cAn be played and if I try and play the device via the laptop/iTunes an ! Type signal appears and I cannot play the song!
Any ideas re solutions would be appreciated??? -

If you did not sign out of your Apple ID on your iPhone before creating a new one, then you will need to sign back in with your previous Apple ID and then sign out. If you do not remember your password and do not have access to the email account, then you can reset your password by using the security questions.

How can I remove icons from the Finder sidebar? Transferred info from my Mac Pro desktop computer (using target mode) and there were folder icons on the Mac Pro Finder sidebar that are now on the MacBook Finder sidebar, even though these folders do not exist on the MacBook. Tried to drag them off, which is the usual way to get rid of folders that the user adds to the sidebar (as opposed to those that can be added via the Customize Toolbar dropdown menu) but was unsuccessful. I then unchecked all of the Customize Toolbar menu items and the folder icons still remained. What else can I do?
Did you hold the Command (Apple) key while dragging them off the sidebar? That usually makes them go *poof*.
