Why no built in battery for the 15" ???

My question is simple really.
Apple are touting the 17" built in battery as a breakthrough. So why hasnt the 15" got the same better capacity, greater cycle battery?

Not allowed to speculate as to why or why not here --
But in general, the unibody 17" was just released with the new battery -- Apple just did a 15" refresh in October 08 -- it won't get another major refresh for awhile -- and most likely in the next refresh, they too will have the built-in batteries...at least that is what Apple initially stated when they announced the 17" a few months ago was their plan eventually for the entire portable line.
But those will be rolled out in the coming years, not right away.

Seriously, yesterday I found myself going from Verizon Store to Verizon Store looking for the extended battery for the trophy in my area because it has been sold out on this site for at least a month, if not more, as I've started to become dissatisfied lately with the battery life on my trophy (I've been using it more lately because there are a lot more apps available now then there were at launch). I had no luck, and as HTC doesn't seem to stock parts for the US Trophy on their web store, nor does amazon or anyone else (There aren't even any official ones on eBay right now) and I don't trust 3rd party batteries (I had a horrible experience with a 3rd party battery bought for an old blackberry on eBay this one time), is the Extended Battery EVER going to be in stock again? It seems to be available in the "Accessory Outlet Store" for a major discount ($25) here at Verizon Wireless. I guess the $30 off the original retail price is worth the trouble I've had for some time. But still, why doesn't anyone online or people in the stores know this?

Using an iPhone wall charger for the iPod is fine. You can also use an iPhone cable for the iPod.

Why did I get charged for the $100 gift card student deal that came with the macbook pro? I was told that it would be taken credited off my credit card however; that has not happened. Am I missing something? Have other people been charged for this as well?

The same thing happened to me but it made sense.
I ordered a MBPR on Jun 12 for $2879 which qualified for the free student gift card. The gift card was available to ship (delivers June 20 - June 21) but the MBPR wasn't available until a month later (deliverys July 3 - July 10). Instead of holding the gift card until the MBPR was ready, Apple charged me $100 for the card then shipped it to me.
About a month later when the MBPR was ready, Apple charged me $2779 then shipped it. In the end, I was charged the correct amount $2779 + $100 = $2879.
Why did Apple do this? I suspect that some people have cheated Apple by ordering a Mac to get the promotional gift card then canceled their order after the gift card was spent. Apple is trying to protect itself.
BTW, if you return the mac then you're expected to return the gift card. If you've spent any amount of the card then Apple will deduct this from your refund.

When you purchased Lightroom you should have received an e-mail with your serial number. Better go back and check your e-mails that you received from Adobe. I think one of them should be a receipt, and should have the serial number printed on it.

My ipod nano doesnt have enough battery for the computer to recognize it

Well my ipod nano is really screwed up!
Ok so a couple weeks ago I plugged my ipod into my computer because the battery was getting pretty low, and my computer didn't recognize it so i restarted the computer plugged it into a different port and it still didnt work. I tried this with every port on my computer and by the time i had done that the ipod was completely out of battery. I have tried resetting it but it still wouldnt stay on long enough for my computer to recognize it. Also, before this happened, it sometimes took two or three times of plugging it in for my computer to recognize it. Then I installed an update for my ipod and when it took all the songs off of it and then put them back on, it put all of the songs I have on itunes on my ipod whether they were checked or not and i couldnt get them off. Basically I would like to know if I should send it in to be repaired or if there is something I can do to fix it myself. Thank you so much!

Why does sony neglect updates for the uk?

I dont get what the issue is with agianst releasing updates for the uk. my xperia active, never got the ics update, despite it being released to the rest of the world 6 weeks ago!
now the go I have is not getting any updates, despite major bugs in the firmware, while the rest of the world have recieved these updates. ontop of this, the uk is one pf the biggest consumers of their ptoducts.
there is no issue with them as they are both unlocked(active went back due to issues).
not sure why I went with the go now after my horrific experience with the active.
if this is not sorted, my loyalty will be no more. I have 3 sony bravias in my house, a tablet s, a vaio, all the games consoles and have been 5 different sonys since the t610.
no wonder sony has been 6 years in the red, what is the point of buying sony, without their support? I may as well buy an lg.

Are you locked to a network ? The network provider have their rights to reject it . If you are not, you will wait, they will release it to you later. At last, most likely you will get an update.
But, if you must have it now, you might do manual update, which requires rooting. Search in the forum and you'll find it

It never gets anything, still waiting for NFC payment, Wifi is still borked with no 5ghrz support even tho it was advertised, still waiting for browser updates to make it useful, gets nothing they're putting into their Lumia series.
Why release a phone to just ditch it?
Edit: Oh yeah and the camera is still **bleep** for night time shots, the right hand side of the picture always has this lighter area ruining it.

Are you crazy? The 808's pictures are better. Sharper no overzealus coloursmearing, no weird edge-sharpening.
In fact the only positive about the 920 is its low-light "enlightenment" . But this unfortunately gives rather unatural looking photo's.
The pictures that you linked to were shot in pitch black outside and Steve clearly pointed out that the scenes depicted were deliberately choosen to asure the 920 would be better. They were to demonstrate the difference of the low-light enhancing technology o/t 920. There's no reason to show them here to demonstrate a malfunctioning camera-module. In fact I can show you pictures that show the superiority o/t 808 (even from that same site).

On these 2 examples you clearly see that the 808PV is better then the 920 (and the last scene should have been the 920's territory and yet it fails miserable)
Also the worse experience with software upgrades also happens on Lumia users. Some have the feeling that their camera's perform worse after their latest upgrade. It seems Nokia still FU this process just as any other manufacturer does.
Or do you really think that Xperia users (or Galaxy users or HTC users) have different experiences? the Apple fora are filled with people unhappy about the things that got broken after their last update.
I am glad that Nokia still delivers (minor) updates. I too would like to see Nokia give power users more options instead of removing them. Just like the awfull light grey theme. They should have included BOTH dark and light themes to give us CHOICE! The only thing we can do is ASK Nokia to release the dark theme as a seperate product/download. Or make a suitable theme ourselves. ;-)
the same with all the other options. In fact IMHO Wifi is NOT BORKED, I've never seen them advertize 5Ghz band and as for the browser, it IS very usefull. It's the only one with (limited) Flash support build in (Android has removed Flash support in later builds so who are you to complain) and is quite fast (just disable javascript to make it as fast as the Iphone 4S). That website creators can't build proper websites anymore without stupid javascript is not Nokia's fault, complain to the site-maintainers.
And as for Nokia's Lumia range of devices... they still can't do halve of what a N8 can do, even WITH a "borked" Belle Refresh...
