Why no transfer rules in our BI system

Hi.experts:
I have a BI system, and the patch level is BI_CONT 703 patch 8..and My SAP BW version is SAP_BW 700 patch 0018.I found that no transfer rules for 3.X datasource and 3.X infosource.
Any body has the same situation?
Best Regards
Martin Xie

Hi,
Not sure if this helps.
Check in BI Content tab --> Source system assignment button. Flag the source system for which you are installing the transfer rules. Then you will get transfer rules for the source sytem.
If nothing is flagged in the source system assignment, you can find transfer rules for all the systems.

  • Transfer Rules for two Source System in Production

    Hi All,
    I have a question.
I have source system ECDCLNT230 (ECC Devlopment) which is connected to BIDCLNT200(BID Devlopment) I have two production source system ECPCLNT410 (ECP Pre Production Client) & ECPCLNT400 (ECP Production Client) which i want to connect with BIPCLNT400. when i transport my content from ECDCLNT230 to ECPCLNT410 and ECPCLNT400 , it works fine. i created 2 source system in BIPCLNT400 and replicated data source in to BIPCLNT400 so all data source has replicated.
Now when i transport the request from BIDCLNT200 to BIPCLNT400, i need two transfer rules, two transformation one for each source system. for that what kind of settings are required.
    Thanks is advance.

    Hi,
If I understand correctly, in your BW Production system, you want to connect / load data from your ECC Pre Production and Production system.
In this case, to automate the transport needed for changes of transfer rules for both source system, you will need to have two tranfer rules in your BW Dev. You can either create two source system in Dev pointing to the same ECC Dev system, or one to ECC Dev and the second to ECC QA. Use different name for this two source system.
In BW Production, you then then maintain the source system conversion of both source system.
    Thanks.

  • Activating transfer rules for new source system

    Hi
we are having 2 R/3 source system in BI. I had activated all the transfer rules with the first source system and now i have created a new source sytem connecting to a different R/3 client. I tried to change the transfer rules point to the new source system using the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL giving the new source system and the infosource name. But i get the error "No Transfer Structure Selected" when i execute the prg.
how can i change the source system without creating the transfer rules for the new source but use the existing transfer rules and just change the source system assigned to it????
    Regards
    Sujai

    Hi Sujai,
There are many cases when this program is used.
When the Trans rules get de-activated due to impact,we need to first replicate the data source and activate the TR using this program. This generally occurs during the data loads in prd.
It does not makes sense to transport it when there r no changes done to the TR.So simply,u can use this program to activate.
If the program does not work, then you are left with the transport option.

  • Cannot See Transfer Rules in Transport Connection

    Hello,
I have searched Notes and Forums and have not found a solution for this!
I performed some configuration in our newly upgraded BI system. We
were on BW 3.5 and upgraded to BI 7.0
We also change how our landscape was interconnected.
Our BW Dev system used to connect to our R3 Sandbox system.
Now our BIDev system connects to our ECC Dev system.
This is the first project i have worked on since the upgrade was
successful. What I am finding is that I get the following transport
error when I look at the STMS logs from BID to BIQ.
    Transport Error
Start of the after-import method RS_ISTS_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) ISTS (Activation Mode)
There is no DataSource with these attributes
Reference to transfer structure 1_CO_PA2900010_DS_BA not available.
    No activation possible.
Here are the details when I click to get more info on the error message:
Reference to transfer structure 1_CO_PA2900010_DS_BA not available. No
    activation possible.
    Message no. RSAR436
    Diagnosis
Transfer structure 1_CO_PA2900010_DS_BA should be transported into this
    system.
However, no DataSource mapping refers to this transfer structure.
    System Response
The transfer structure was not activated or deleted.
    Procedure
Ensure that DataSource mapping, with a reference to the transfer
structure 1_CO_PA2900010_DS_BA is on the same transport request. Use
the transport connection to create a consistent request.
    Wierd Behavior
The big issue now is that when i go to the transport connection in RSA1
and I want to collect Transfer Rules, I see a small subset of all the
transfer rules I would expect to see. I am looking specifically for
    the transfer rules: 1_CO_PA2900010_DS PCDEVC200
Similiar behavior occurs when i am looking for "3.x DataSources" in the
    transport connection
I can see these rules in other areas of RSA1 such as Infosources.
Please assist with finding these transfer rules in the Transport
    connection.
Other then this transport both ECC and BI system landscapes are up and running normally.
    Please help
    Thanks!
    Nick

    Bryan,
Thanks for jumping onto this thread.  I am going to complete the transports and see if i have any system name conversion issues to address.  I may need some guidance on ensuring that BID, BIQ and BIP have the correct entries in RLOGSYSMAP.
    To answer your questions:
    1. Was the new source system added as an additional source system or was the R/3 Sandbox source system renamed?
Bryan: The new source system was added by renaming the R/3 Sandbox source system/Executing BDLS.  The original source system was PCSNDC200, and we BDLS'd that to PCDEVC200.
    2. To what Source system do the transfer Rules belong to that you are missing?
---Bryan: The missing transfer rules (and all source system dependent objects that are missing) belong to PCDEVC200...I fixed the  missing object issue, by going to "transport Connection" and clicking on 'Source System Assignment' (or Shift+F7) and then checking the box for my source system, in my case the box for PCDEVC200 was not checked previously.
    3. Was the "conversion of Logical System Name" entries updated correctly after the new source system was added in BID?
---Bryan:  The answer to this question i will find out tomorrow when I transport to Production (fingers crossed, the BID > BIQ transport went well with name conversion!)
    Thanks!

  • Table for Data source and Transfer rule mapping

    Hi all,
Do we have any table where in we can know the different transfer rules(for different source systems) assigned to the same Data source.
    thanks and regards,
    Rk.

    thank you all,
the table RSDS does not have 3.x data sources, it has only 7.0 Data sources also it does not have the field mapping.
RSOSFIELDMAP and RSTSRULES have the field mapping of the datasources, do we have any similiar tables for 7.0 Datasources.
    regards,
    RK

  • Missing Transfer Rules in Selection Window for Transport

    Hello,
Can somebody tell me why certain transfer rules are missing in the object selection list of the transport connection window?  I am using BW 3.5.
    Problem details:
I want to transport a transfer rule from a DEV box to a QA box.  In the transport connection window, I clicked on "select objects" from under transfer rules in the middle panel.  The object listing that followed showed only objects that start with numbers; no object we defined locally that starts with Z was included.
I also noticed that this appears to be a "funny" problem.  One other computer connected to BW shows the correct listing while still another shows a different listing.  Has this got to do with any setting?
    Please help.
    Wernel

    Hi Wernel,
Its better to activate ur transfer rules once again. Also this Z*  TRs would be displayed in last row of the Pop up window in the select Objects list.
or select them by grouping as before dataflow by selecting InfoSoruce.
    Assign points if it helps...

  • Copy Transfer Rules

    Hello,
Can any body tell me how to copy transfer rules from one source system to an other for same datasource.
eg: Material Attr from R/3 DEV and R/3 QA systems into BW DEV system.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hello Srini,
as far as I know, this feature is not available. If I have to do the same, I use 2 sessions. The first one with the template (to copy from) and the second with the new transfer rules. But this works only, if the structure of the datasource in both systems is exactly the same. You can also use the meta data repository to copy from. Here you will also find the coding of the start routine as well as the coding for each infoobject.
    regards

  • Transfer rules to the new source system not visible in Transport connection

    Dear All,
Recently our source system has been changed from R3 4.7 to ECC 6.O. Corresponding to that all the activities in BI have finished successfully. All my datasources in 4.7 have been replicated in ECC 6 in BI and transfer rules re-assigned. I have also collected them in a Transport request.
Now when I am checking the entire flow in Transport connection, it shows me the transfer rules pointing to the old system only. That is, in RSA1 it shows the new system assignment. But in Transport connection not.
What I have to do so that I can crosscheck in Transport connection all my objects having transfer rules to new system ?
    Regards,
    Srinivas

I think you should check the source system assignment in the transport connection. It might have directed to the old sytem.
    Cheers

  • Swap R3 source system for BW without recreating transfer rules

    Hi, All,
I am facing an interesting situation. The team would like to retire an R3 system which is the source to our BW development environment. I need to replace the old R3 source with another one. The BW development environment is also the source of the transport path.
Is there a quick way to swap out an R3 source system without recreating all the transfer rules/infosources/infopackages which are tie to the old system?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Chimei

    Hi,
In BI 7.0, we are trying to repoint ECC 6 Dev system in place of R/3 Dev.  Ran BDLS which converted some tables but not all and ended with errors.  Does anyone know how to manually correct these entries?  Is there a program to independently correct the tables?
    Regards,

  • Transfer Rules Deleted while recreating Source System

    Hi:
We connected our QBW system to upgraded SAP ECC 6.0 QAT system. We needed to recreate the source system for ECC since that appeared inactive. After our Basis admin re-created the source system, all transfer rules were deleted. Now we can not extract data. We had done the same thing in BWD when the SAP Dev system was upgraded 3 weeks ago and we did not have this problem. Is it possible to activate all transfer rules in QAT again? Or do we have to restore a backup? Or do we have to collect them again from the Development and transport to QBW??
    Thanks

    Hi Sunil,
yes when you delet the source system and recreate it evey thing will be vanished
right click on the souce system click Replicate datasouce
    Then try with
    a) Right click on source system and click on Restore if it doesn't work
    b) Transport from Development to Quality
and active all the transfer rules using the report RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
    hope this information helps you
    thanks

  • Transfer rules are not exist for ECC Quality source system in BI Dev

    Hi,
I Connected BI Dev system To ECC Dev and installed the sales, purchasing,... data flow, but here i am not getting the quality data to show the reports, to get Quality data  I established the connection between BI Dev and ECC QA, while installing the transfer rules for the ECC QA data sources there no transfer rules are exist(only some of them exist) in the business content, but all the update rules,... are exist, when i right on the data source say create transfer rules it is proposing App praposal.
When i select source system as ECC dev while installing the transfer rules i can see all the transfer rules, but when i select source system as ECC QA i can see only some transfer rules.
only problem with transfer rules(some of them exist), for remaining all objects are properly existing in business content for ECC QA source system.
    Regards,
    chandra

    Hi Fayzrakhmanov
Thanks for the quick reply. We are not moving the stuff to QA. We are only connecting QA ECC system to BI Dev. We already have datasources moved to ECC QA and created source system for ECC QA in BI Dev.
The problem is I am not able to get Business Content transful rule for new source system. We I can find some but not all unlike development.
Help on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Change Source System in Transfer Rules

    Dear All,
I need to change the Source System assignment in Transfer Rule from System "A" to System "B", as the System "A" no longer exists.
I came across the T-Codes BDLS/BDLSS but aint sure if this can help me rectify the issue.
Request you to please provide some inputs.
    Regards,
    Nitin S.

    Hi
if you change the source system you may face the problem.
first you can replicate the Dat sources on B, then you can map the info source with your respective data source.
else it will not allow you for thr mapping.
    Regards,
    chandra.

  • CLIENT of the source system in the Transfer Rules

    Hi,
Can I get the CLIENT of the source system dynamically in the Transfer Rules (and assign it to an InfoObject)?
I have a generic extractor from a R/3 source system. The table in the source system & the extract structure the DataSource both contain MANDT, but its not coming in the RSO2 screen (which, if I'm not wrong, is how it should be).
I need the CLIENT info. in my BW data targets. I do not want to hardcode this value in Trans Rules as the client in Dev & Prod is different for my R/3 sys.
If I can't get it directly from the DataSource, is there any way I can get it from any system field using routine?
If I'm not wrong - SYST-MANDT in the Formulas will give me only my BW CLIENT.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Melwyn

    hi,
i think if your bw dev and prod client is different you can try in transfer rules
if sy-mandt = xxx. ( bw dev client number)
result = 'yyy'. (source system dev)
    else.
result = 'zzz'. (source system prod)
    endif.
or enhance the extract structure/ append structure with zz field for mandt and field in user exit zxrsau01 with sy-mandt
or if use infoobject 0LOGSYS, populate in transfer rules with result = g_s_minfo-logsys.
    hope this helps.

  • Transfer Rules is not Activated in BWQ System

    Hey all,
I am transporting the Infocubes from BWD to BWQ. I got an error in "errors occured during post-handling RS_After_Import for ISCS L" and "the errors affect the following components: BW-WHM (Warehouse Management)"
I had assign the "conversion of logical systems names" in BWD and BWQ.
The detailed error can be viewed under this path:
    http://h1.ripway.com/aywen/TransferRulesDeactivatedinBWQ.zip
    thanks...

    Hi,
Just check the connection parameters between BWQ and the source system. If it is ok then Replicate the data sources bfore activating the transfer rules.
Still the problem exists try this functional module in SE38 to activate the transfer rules: RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
    Hope this will help you.

  • BE3.5 : Error from the source system while activating the transfer rule

When I was trying to activate the transfer rule for one info object( charateristic with master data) , I got the following error  in [[  ]]
Error when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCPIZGR00CC_ATTR in source system CI2220
    Diagnosis
An error occurred when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCPIZGR00CC_ATTR as an IDoc segment in source system CI2220 .
    System response
The action was terminated. No data was changed.
    Procedure
Use the generation log in source system CI2220 to identify the error, and remove the cause.
CI2220 is the backend R/3 system, I had no issue in replicating the data source etc. this error occurred while trying to activate the transfer rule after assigning the info source to the replicated datasource in BW.
Can anybody tell me how to view( what transaction etc) the generation log to understand the issue?
    Thanks in advance
    Arunabha

    Hi Arunabha,
I would confrim that there is no issue with the datasource in your r/3 system. Can you run the datasource on your r/3 system with no errors using RSA3?
If the datasource is ok, then I would check out the error message number in OSS or SDN. I have seen this error before, I just cannot recall what the fix was.
    Cheers!
