Ok Nokia, You created N97. You know that 73M is a joke for the phone's memory (drive c). In the name of all N97 users, why on earth you keep releasing apps like ovi maps with 7-14M where I can only install them on drive c and not on mass memory (where I have 30G)??? i thought everything was ok until i started to play a game and it always said that im not connected to game center and ask me for my apple id and my password
i put my password and agian it logged to the Sharon1122 "Sandbox" account that i really have NO idea where he came from!
after alot of tries and looking for a solution on the internet i coudnt play a game with my Sharon2018 regular account
i was really upset so i tried to go into gamecenter when its logged to the "sandbox" account and change the name and password (which i do remember the password that i changed) and also changed the email to stuff that i dont remember i just write like name:adsoj email:[email protected]
cause i didnt care about that account i wanted my account so i changed everything and then i logged out and tryed to go into my regular Sharon2018 account put my Apple ID and password and its said that its not vaid (i think this sandbox account and my account was somehow linked togther)
so it means i changed also my password and id and not only that! it also changed for the appstore itunes icloud find my iphone

My ibook keeps shutting down completely with the date to reverting back to 1969. i restart only after i plug in charger it lets me, then change date and save. the next time i use same thing happens, safari, iphoto, email are the only ones i have used.

The iBook does not have a backup (PRAM) battery. It only has the main battery and a small capacitor which maintains the settings long enough to do a battery swap. If the battery is dead, what you are seeing can happen.
If the battery is not a problem (or even if it is), you could try resetting the PMU and see if that helps.

Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.

Want my JFrame to be the *only* one that can end the program when closed

Hi all,
I have an application that is essentially a launcher for other applications -- it's a holder to allow us to demo our work and other Java examples (not necessarily our work). The launcher will either run methods to launch an application or will find a class's main method and invoke that.
In all cases, the other applications open up their own JFrames, separate from my launcher (this is a good thing). The problem is that, in general, the other JFrames are set to EXIT_ON_CLOSE. This means that if the user closes the second window, everything will close.
Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? I'd like either a way to say that my JFrame is the only one that can exit the program when closed, or to say globally that JFrames can't exit on close, and then re-work my initial frame so that it is still able to exit.
Note that changing all the other applications so that they do not include the EXIT_ON_CLOSE line is not an option (several of the applications we have the right to use, but not the right to modify, for instance).
Any thoughts?

I guess I was thinking this as a process-oriented question (I had already been thinking of the "different JVM" tactic), but the other option was to think of it as a pure-swing problem, like your solution above. Guess I should have just cross-posted -- everyone loves that! ;-)

Maybe use the portable Firefox version on a USB stick if you want to prevent access to your profile. 
Solutions that use an extension can easily be bypassed by starting in [[Safe mode]]. 
Otherwise you need to locate the Firefox profile folder on an encrypted drive.

When its in the upper right hand corner and you click on it all you get is a done button, when it's in the side bar right click and your only option is eject, left click has no effect. If I go to "file">devices it's as if there are no devices connected.

You do have to press and hold down the mouse more than a few seconds to see the fly-out menu of other shapes, or use the shortcut shift-u.
If you have already done that. Try resetting the Shape tool. Select it, and in the option bar, right or ctrl-click (Mac) on the icon, choose Reset Tool.

How to make sure I'm the only one who can manage my airport base station using airport utility?

I know we have to use the Airport Utility application to manage the Airport base station in order to create a new network, creating the SSID and chosing the encryption mode and setting the password but how I could be sure I'm the only one who have access to those settings? A user of my network can install the Airport Utility application and change those settings. With other routers like D-Link, to have access to the settings you need to know the admin password to modify the settings. I can't figure out how we can do this with Airport Extreme base station. It's maybe obvious but I'm in the cloud for the moment.

You can set a base station administrator password in order to limit who can administer the base station. With AirPort Utility v6.x, you can set this password on the Base Station tab.

I'm the only one who can submit PDF by e-mail!

OK so I created this form, and I made the button to submit the PDF not the XML, and it worked great. For me.
The e-mail recipient tells me when anyone else tries to submit the form, the button changes color but nothing else happens. No e-mail window pops up. He said he has Outlook set up as his e-mail client, same as I do. He's not using webmail.
Of course it makes it more difficult that *I* have no problem submitting it!

I swear, they made this program WAY trickier than it should be. I hope future versions make this easier because judging from the forums, e-mail submission is a major issue for almost everyone.

Normally, most Windows-compatible keyboards are also compatible with Mac OS X. If I'm not mistaken, the Windows key (the key with the Windows icon) is the command key. Also, if you do need to use the F1-F12 keys as standard function keys (you would normally hold FN and then press the button), you can set them to standard function keys in System Preferences. There may be some good gaming keyboards on the market that use the Mac layout, but most may use a Windows keyboard. Personally, I prefer the Mac keyboard on my Macbook. I hope this helps!

Why is my computer the only one that won't connect to our network?

I took my computer to a friends house for a few days and had no problems connecting to their Internet network. When I got home I tried to get on the Internet and it wouldn't work. My roommates were having no problems connecting but my computer kept saying that there was a new network configuration. I followed the directions it gave but it didnt work. I tried turning off my AirPort and turning it back on; restarting the router; restarting my computer. Nothing worked. Please help!

The WebSheet that appears when you join a captive network should eventually load the web site. However, if <https://1.1.1.1/> uses a self-signed certificate (or any certificate that can't be validated), there is a known issue that prevents WebSheet from loading the page.
To get around this, launch Safari and navigate to any web site. You should be redirected to <https://1.1.1.1/> again, at which point you can accept the self-signed certificate, authenticate, and then connect to the captive network.
