First thing i cant downgrade from ios4.3.4 to 4.3.3 why? secondly, why do there are defective apps in itunes store? and will my money will be refunded or not? why cant we try products for some hours to make a buying decision? there are thousands of questions unanswered, i just have device with me and apple is remotely controlling it, why are u blocking users freedom?????

Because doing so is not supported - primariy since the iPhone's baseband is often updated or changed with a firmware update. Since 4.3.4 addressed a potential security issue involving the download of a PDF document from a nefarious website, what is the reason for wanting to downgrade to 4.3.3?

Because Apple doesn't do extensive testing with every single app. Apple primarily checks apps not accessing any private iPhone API's for security reasons, apps do not violate Apple's terms of use for the app store, and the app does what is says it does - based on the detailed description provided by the developer for the app. Just as Microsoft has never thoroughly tested or done any testing at all for every single 3rd party Windows app, Apple doesn't do any thorough app testing - that is the app developer's responsbility - no different for 3rd party apps on your computer.

With many apps, there is a free version and a paid version. You can try the free version first if available before purchasing the paid version.

Why not leave remote app for 4.2.1?

Hi there, with my family i own 3 ipod touches, 3 shuffles, and two iphones. I own two houses where i have set up a central computer to run itunes with airport expresses all over my houses to control speakers and music through the "remote" app. I am heavily invested in apple products and apps. My use of apple technology for our media enjoyment is truly great and never ceases to amaze guests. I LOVE "remote" and airport.
Since i have had to restore all my ipods for various reasons, i am now no longer able to download the remote app since apple only supports iOS 5 or later. They have instantly rendered my whole apple setup useless. This is extremely disapointing and they are basically telling me that my purchase of their hardware was a mistake and that they only care about people who purchase new things. Which is a great reason not to purchase new things from them.
What i don't understand is why they simply can't put a version of remote in the app store for iOS 4.2.1. You obviously have it, so why not just put it there?????
So little effort to leave 4.2.1 apps in the store. They could even create a special section based on iOS.
Now they are forcing me to consider alternative solutions, of which there are many. I simply would never have bothered to do this before since i was so satisfied with apple products. They are literally forcing me to look at alternatives and this is a failure on their part from a business and marketing perspective.
Now i will most likely go from an evangelizer of apple products to a hater. It is simply disrespectful how theyare treating people with old products...

The devices i have work perfectly fine and do everything i need them to. I don't want to buy new devices. It is an awful stance to take and i find it very insulting. Is this not a big issue with users out there? Or is everyone just buying new stuff all the time?

Why are there 16GB CDMA iPhone 5 on eBay for $200, $300 and more - when one can purchase a new one from
Verizon for $99.95? Can the eBay ones be used with a SIM card globally? What can be done with an eBay

They need to go to THE CDMA carrier the phone was sold for. CDMA iPhones are not portable between carriers.
Yes, they still need to activate and pay for a voice and data plan to use it. But they are not locked into a 2 year contract. They can use it for 6 months and cancel service if they want. They can sell it to someone else who can use it for 6 months on Verizon, or for the next year, or 2, or 3.
If you get an iPhone from Verizon on contract, then cancel the service after 6 months, you owe an early termination fee that is quite a bit more than that.

Why not use Redo log for consistent read

As I understand if a select was issued at 7:00 AM and the data that select is going to read has changed at 7:10 AM even then Oracle will return the data that existed at 7:00 AM. And for this Oracle needs the data in Undo segments.
My question is since redo also has past and current information why can't redo logs be used to retreive that information? Why is undo required when redo already has all that information.

Its the changed vector of Undo that is kept which is useful to "recover" it when its gone but not useful as such for a select statement. Whereas in an Undo block, the actual value is kept. You must remember that its still a block only which can contain data just like your normal block which may contain a table like EMP. So its not 100,200 but the change vectors of these things which is useful to recover the transaction based on their SCN numbers and would be read in that order as well. And to read the data from Undo, its quite simple for oracle to do so using an Undo block as the transaction table which holds the entry for the transaction, knows where the old data is kept in the Undo Segment. You may have seen XIDSEQ, XIDUSN, XIDSLOT in the tranaction id which are nothing but the information that where the undo data is kept. And to read it, unlke redo, undo plays a good role.
About the expiry of Undo, you must know that only INACTIVE Undo extents are marked for expiry. The Active Extents which are having an ongoing tranaction records, are never marked for it. You can come back after a lifetime and if undo is there, your old data would be kept safe by oracle since its useful for the multiversioning. Undo Retention is to keep the old data after commit, something which you need not to do if you are on 11g and using Total Recall feature!

ITunes says i do not have enough space for iPhone...i do!

I have recently upgraded to IOS5. I have an iPad and a iPhone 4S. At first, I was able to sync via wireless and by USB with no problem after the update. Suddenly, itunes now will not complete my sync for my iphone due to not having enough space to fit my entire library. The capacity bar in the summary page shows I have close to 10GB available, but the error message after an attemped sync says I need 4GB free. BTW, I have not changed any of my settings nor have I added any new content.
To make matters even more interesting, itunes now cannot sync my iPad and asks me to restore from my back up. When I do, it fails. The same is with the iPad, no settings or content has been changed.
Hopefully someone may be able to shed light on this.

I am having the EXACT same issue on the 3GS after upgrading to iOS 5. Solved the backup issue by clicking "delete backup," and then it will just make a new backup next time you sync. Need help with the space issue! I very clearly have space but it is trying to add all my stuff in. Have tried this both with "sync all music" checked and "sync only checked items," also with "sync only checked music and playlists." same issue each time.

Since AppleCare is an extended warranty, Apple needs to write it in such a way that foreign governments will accept it. Even here in the US, it was not valid in Florida until fairly recently.

Looks like the preparation CDs for OCP are starting to disappear and all preparation are just Instructor led. Oracle should bring back the CDs for those with less money.
