Why not showing proper remaing HD space?

I was using my mac and I checked the HD space and it said 28GB remaining and then 5min later without me adding any other files it told me 22GB was remaining.
Why did it show inaccurate display space remaining?

Apple's built in search tools (Find or Spotlight) can search by modification dates. But that's really not the most efficient way to do a backup.
I'd recommend SuperDuper for that. The free version clones to an external drive, the $28 licensed version performs "SmartUpdates" (incremental backups that are faster becuase they synchronize changed files only).

ASk in the DW firum and be much more specific. Web page rendering issues are specific to specific versions of browsers and you may simply be using some bad code that messes up your page.

Bookmark Toolbar entries not showing up in blank space allocated for them under Navigation Toolbar.

Using Firefox 3.6.13 and 4.0b8. Both are not showing up my Bookmark Toolbar entries. The item does exist. I've used Firefox for years and that toolbar has always showed up. Confirmed that it still exists and was not inadvertently trashed by viewing item and listing when opting to Manage Bookmarks. The item is checked off for display in the menu drop-down (View-Toolbars-Bookmark Toolbar), the space where it would normally display my entries shows up directly under the Navigation Toolbar, but it is blank with no entries displayed.

In the View menu select Toolbars, and then Customize to open the customize toolbar dialog. With the customize toolbar dialog displayed, there should be an icon with the label "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" on the bookmarks toolbar. If it is not there, drag and drop the icon called Bookmarks from the customize toolbar dialog onto the bookmarks toolbar. There will be 2 icons called Bookmarks, the one you want will have an icon that looks like a sheet of paper (it does on Windows, I believe it is the same on the Mac).

Report not showing proper output in apps 11i

I am new to oracle Apps 11i. I Have created customized reports . But Layout showing in builder and oracle apps 11i are different. The differernce is distance between the fields. Also labels and fields not showing full (truncating) value. But the same report giving proper output in repots6i builder.
(i.e all customized reports layout showing 1/2 the width in oracle apps 11i)
I will appreciate if somebody can give me some suggetion regarding this issue. Also I would like to know any template avaliable for 11i reports development.

please make sure that in report builder fields must not contain any bold text , any line or any color b'coz apps11i reports are character mode reports hence if ur report contain any of these mentioned above give format different from the one it shows in report builder. u have to add one by one field and and run the report in apps environment .. in this way u have to move forward... guess it will help u....

When you say that the HDD isn't showing up in Disk Utility, do you mean that it isn't showing up on the left hand side of the app like in this picture?

3750 not showing proper traffic statistics

A colleague of mine has a 3750 switch which he is doing routing on.
He has noticed that traffic statistics are not showing using 'show interface vlan x' or using MRTG graphing.
Any way to get these statistics back ? I've never seen the behaviour myself so I thought I'd ask for him.

Sounds like you are getting some data, jut not performance data(?) so I would not suspect the agent.
Check your binaries on the agent - you should have 2 or 3 with root permissions and the sticky bit turned on.
Make sure you have the new port numbers being used since the agent should now be connecting via the secure port (this looks to already be the case from your post)

Any firewalls between you and the oms?
Does the agent know the oms dns/ip?

10.4 server disk quota not showing proper available space

i have a problem with 10.4 server which is installed on a powermac G5 2.5 Ghz System.
I have created users on the internal volume and have enabled disk quota on it.. i have given 30 gb for each users and totally i have created 3 users..
and when i access these users from the network, first time it shows the total volume availabe (my Hdd is 250 Gb) and when i restart the machine am getting only 2 gb as available volume space through the network..
I have tried updating to 10.4.5, still problem persist
can anyone help me in this

SYSDATE not showing proper date

am using sysdate in my procedure. but sysdate is returning the previous day date and I checked the date set in my computer, its proper. I really don't know why sysdate is showing previous date. Plz can anybody tell me what's going wrong here...

The NTP (network time protocol) daemon on the Oracle server is either not running, or configured incorrectly.
You need to raise this problem with the o/s administrator of that server. The Oracle database instance uses the o/s date and time. The Oracle database has no control and no idea whether what the o/s reports the date time to be, to be correct or not. Keeping date and time is the o/s's responsilbility - not Oracle's.
And at o/s level, this is managed via syncing the o/s date and time with servers that are tasked (amongst other things), to keep accurate time. In order to perform this sync, NTP is used. A local NTP daemon (background server process) needs to be configured and activated in order to perform this sync.
You will find a similar NTP daemon on your client platform (Windows?) that is sync'ing with the time servers on your network.

Elapsed-Time Meters not showing proper time in spreadsheet.

A couple of different issues.
I am using ETM to record pump run hours. This part works very well.
Where I run into problems is when I use a spreadsheet to record the values.
In the Spreadsheet1 object I set the ETM1 format to HH:MM and yet in the 'Spreadsheet1.csv ' pump 1 shows 2015:12:55 (Hours are right) but I don't understand why it will not transfer just HH:MM. Yet in the same Spreadsheet1 object I take another ETM2 and set the format to HH:MM it shows 52365:45 (Hours are right).
I then use Spreadsheet2 to grab the data once a month to record daily pump hours.
However if I try and and do any math formulas with ETM2 they do not work. (Formats are set HH:MM)
The ETM1 formulas work and takes the raw data 2015:12:55 and formats to HH:MM.
Does it stop working because the ETM reaches a too high number?
Side note: If I create a new ETM can I input hours somehow to reflect exsisting run hours?

I would suggest using SQL & ODBC to get the runtime hours based on your digital monitor, instead of the ETM timer.

Yes I've noticed this bug too. I think its a bug in Workgroup Manager or the command line programs WGM calls. If you use the edquota command to set disk quotas you can set them to what every you like.

Rich text field will not show proper font attributes! (Bug? - RTF OTF font handling)

I created two text form fields (rich text)...
In Windows 7, Write program (using it to format the rich text content)... I edited my two lines.
Line one: mix of two font sizes and a few attribute changes... pasted into the first text field perfectly.
Line two: similar to the above... pasted into the second text field but the font is appearing in bold! It is not bold in the source, nor is it preset in the text field properties! I even pasted it back into Write AND Word and it pastes as I intended it.
Why is Adobe doing this? I even tried to toggle >Text Style > bold on/off, clear formatting... these functions do not work!
If I bring up the properties toolbar (Ctrl-E), bold is toggled on but I cannot toggle it off, I can add underline, I can change the font size.
UPDATE: It seems that Adobe Acrobat is NOT reading the OTF font correctly! If I change to a different font, in the same family, the problem changes from set on bold to set on italics!
It is specifically related to the font I am using but is ONLY a problem when using Rich Text fields. In other words, the entire font family works perfectly if I inserted a text box or use the font family in any other Adobe product.

Another possibly revealing clue is that when I go to Text Field Properties > Appearance tab > Text / Font, I see the entire family of this particular font. However, when editing the text in the properties toolbar (Ctrl-E), only a small sub-set of this font family appears and the attributes behave in an odd manner. Example: normal font appears as italics but if I switch on BOLD, the italic attribute is gone... and other strange attribute problems.

Dvt bargraph not showing proper data on x axis

I am using a <dvt:barGraph> on my jsff page. It reads data from the viewObject. On x axis, i have set the values as date. For the very first bar, it displays the date correctly in format 'dd-month-yyyy' but for all the subsequent bars, it just shows the date i.E. just 'dd'.
can anyone help plz?

2. If you want to check the work item status work items in a particular period, seems it's not available for TFS 2012. You can use work item query with start date and finish date and then create a chart by the query if you use TFS 2013 Update 2 or above.

Why not show another IP address?

What is the "::" stand for in the file /etc/hosts. Why another IP address is not listed?
[root@localhost /]# cat /etc/hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs

::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6

What is the "::1" stand for in the file /etc/hosts. Is the IP address for loopback adapter in IPv6 (compressed) format.
Why another IP address is not listed?Check your interface settings in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory.
