Why now, since Firefox upgraded to ver23.0.1, can I not load several pages including facebook unless I use I.E Tab ext?
Between last night and tonight, suddenly I can't load any pages unless I flip back and forth between I.E Tabs. Only difference: Firefox did a bloody update. Why is it that nowadays when a program updates, it always ends up being glitchy or fails entirely. Aren't updates supposed to IMPROVE the program, not break what was already working?
This problem happens on Facebook, twitter, Goodreads, Google, this page... everything. What is the use of having a browser that doesn't work. Come on Mozilla. Please let me roll back to 22. At least that worked. Sorry for the grump here, but I've truly had enough of programs self-"updating" into a version that is crap. With all that programmers have learnt over years of computing, this should not happen any more. If you're going to put out an "update", at least make sure it works fully first. We're not your lab rats for testing.
I've already restarted twice, and once more in safe mode, so please no one give me all the basic advice. Just someone tell the blokes at Mozilla that their update is broken, and they need to patch it. Meanwhile, I'll just run my business loading pages twice in two different browser tabs... or, after more than six years and twenty different version numbers, I might just drop Firefox altogether.
And you know what, I can't even add my Troubleshooting info from the button below. Guess why? That's broken too.
Have you tried windows safe mode? It could be your antivirus rules.

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

Why can I not load pictures from a micro SD 64gb using scan disk adapter plugged into an Apple iPad camera connection kit. I have the iPhoto app but pictures not being seen on iPad. So incredibly frustrating. Apple please fix this.
Do you have a smaller capacity micro SD card to try? I seem to remember from past posts that users were having problems with cards larger than 32GB, however, Apple's page doesn't mention this.

Do you get an error message from Windows?
Sometimes the Firefox installer messes up the registry settings for how to handle URLs in other programs. One common way to solve the problem is:
(1) Start up IE and have IE make itself the default browser
(2) Go back to Firefox and have Firefox make itself the default browser -
Roboform 2 go loads into the Firefox and all of the information is there. The only thing missing is the tool bar.
My advice is to contact Siber Systems and ask them to add the ability for Roboform to be able to keep itself up-to-date, without the user being required to search for and do manual updates. IOW, when an update is available for Roboform, that update should be installed automatically - or at least notify the user that an update is available and provide a click-able hyperlink to install that update.
As I recall, the Roboform 6 version used a Firefox extension which was hosted at the Mozilla add-ons website, and when there was a Roboform update or security fix it would be automatically installed just like any other Firefox extension.
Plus, their extension doesn't have to be at the AMO website, Firefox will look for updates for extensions from any HTTPS (secure) connection that is set up in the extension. Firefox has the capability of looking for and automatically installong updates, but they aren't using what is built into Firefox completely. -
Ever since I upgraded tp 4.0, I've had problems loading web pages.
About 80% of the time I click on a website, Firefox redirects me to some unrelated, unwanted page. Sometimes I can get to the intended website on a second attempt, but not always This never happened until I loaded 4.0. Is this a known issue that will be resolved, or am I stuck with this total frustration until a new version is available? Why am I constantly being redirected from what I want, even when I physically type the correct http:// . . . into the search?
Also, Firefox keeps opening new websites with movies, music, gossip, and dozens of other unsolicited pages. Since everyone can block pop-ups, is this the new version of the pop-up? This is incredibly annoying because it stops me dead in my tracks with whatever I was doing and slows my computer. (It doesn't open a new tab; it opens an entirely new window.) How can I block these? And how do companies, without permission, open a new, unsolicited webpage on my computer?I seem to have rid myself of the TypeError situation. I had some programs blocked at start up which were always blocked I allowed them to be on and I also turned off the excellorator. And I no longer get that error. But I still cannot give gifts in my facebook games, so I have to go to Google Chrome to play the games

When links are shown to a web page on a document a different version of Firefox appears that has a double line of red rows at the top, and the desired page doesn`t load. To get the required page I need to highlight the link and paste it into my usual search page.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I try to start Firefox, I get nothing!!!!!! The only way I can fix this problem and get access to the WEBB and my starting home page is to reinstall it all over again. This has happen enough times that I am about not to use it again unless you have a fix for this problem!!!!!! For now I have loaded version 20 and am off and running again until it happens again.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:

#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Since the last 3 upgrades (thru Firefox 7.0) I can't print a web page. This is true using 2 different printers. I have an iMac 10.6.8.
Just read that the default memory storage on FF is set to 5 mbs. You can up that by clicking on tools, advanced and overriding the default and set it to 50 mbs (if you use lots of tabs) or 10 mbs (if you use just a few).
I open a blank tab and clear the cache periodically, while I am working. I can have several tabs open and watch videos on Youtube, by doing this. Have you cleared your cache?
Since I have an older computer, I've also used CCleaner for years. I use it often, but always before signing off. You can get it free...search for CCleaner, download from Pirifoam free. I didn't change any of the settings and it clears crap left behind from uninstalling programs, clears all browsers at once of: cookies, history, passwords, etc. I love it!
I had freezing, before using the "open blank tab, clear the cache" thing. Now I have no problems. Plus, as I said...you can change the default memory usage for FF and that should help too.

Since I upgraded to OS 6 my ipad will not connect to my WiFi unless I am right next to it. if i walk more than three feet away it looses connection. I have tried the brightness, resetting the network settings, changing the channel on my router...help. I have century link in Phoenix arizona. modem/router is a
ZyXEL - PK5000Z. It seems to work ok on my work wifi.
My iphone and netbook work perfectly with it. I do have an upgrade to the software on my iphone, but I fear that will loose wifi as well.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Why is Firefox not loading my pages at startup anymore?
FF 12.0. Why now all of a sudden is FF not loading my pages at startup. It loads the "pinned" pages, but NONE of the other ones I had open. This is happening at every FF startup now. Really, this was the ONLY feature that was keeping me with FF. The performance has gone dramatically down, and the problems more frequent ever since 4 was released. I am getting to the end of my rope with this now. Any ideas?
No previous session option, it is grayed out.
I did try the file exit way to close, and it brought the tabs back up. Is that a change in 12? Not good, we don't always or even often get the chance to close down like that. It was never like that in the past. It did not matter if you hit the X, or ended the process in the task manager... the tabs ALWAYS came back up. It was a feature that nobody else had working in that matter at the time. Honestly, it is the only reason I have been using FF on a regular basis for the past couple of years. Now I have to worry about losing my tabs when it is not closed down "properly", or spend a hour looking through the history and trying to figure out what I had open. -
