WHY ODI IS AN ELT TOOL???

Hi,
I have done some labs in odi. I am in deep dark for some cases in odi labs like-
Q1)For Relational Table To File (.xls) data exportation, transformation occurs in sunopsis memory engine.For this case how is is ELT??
Q2)As transformation occurs in sunopsis memory engine( for prev case), does sunopsis memory engine has any inbuilt data base?
Q3)For a simple Relational Table to Relational Table data exportation, transformation occurs in staging area i.e in a temp table.Where the table is created? in Target Schema or in Work Schema?
Q4)As the transformation occurs in staging area and then load into Target Table.Then It is ETL.
But how it is ELT???

For this you must be needing one relational database on which transformation can be done. So after extraction load it to sunopsis memory engine and do the transformation.

BUt if your workschema same as target schema/ then temp table will be created in target schema. So it depends on you and your architecture.

But how it is ELT???Its E-LT. That is there is no middletier. Hence its very faster than E-T-L approach.
Traditional ETL tools operate by first Extracting the data from various sources, Transforming the data on a proprietary, middle-tier ETL engine, and then Loading the transformed data onto the target data warehouse or integration server.
but E-LT moves the data transformation step to the target RDBMS, changing the order of operations to: Extract the data from the source tables, Load the tables into the destination server, and then Transform the data on the target RDBMS using native SQL operators.

Microsoft? The '90s are over. But regardless of what decade you are living in, Apple has never been too big on end-user customization of the operating system. Apple has always discouraged the use of "themes" whereas Microsoft will allow people to do pretty much whatever they want.
The file system icons are still the same as they have always been. The new monochrome icons are clearly a design trend more than any change to the underlying operating system. If you turn off the expanded view in any file save dialog (other than in Safari), you can still see the old, glorious, multicoloured icons. If you really wanted to, I'm sure you could change the system-level images and make Finder and Mail look just like they used to.

According problem 1: this is not normal behavior and you could try first to restart Bridge holding down option key to reset the preferences.
But if you experience this also on the server I don't know if this solutions works. And according to problem 2, you should open a case on Adobe support using the little contact button top right on this page, not many users (including me) of this forum are using a server or know a lot about of that workflow :-(
You could try a forum search also on the word server (Search for forum only works when you are on the mainpage with al the post for Bridge for some strange reason...)

Why when I use Brush Tool on a layer mask, I must click on somewhere else then I am able to see my effects of my previous brush on my mask

Why when I use Brush Tool on a layer mask, I must click on somewhere else then I am able to see my effects of my previous brush on my mask.
If I don't click click on somewhere else, I cannot even see my current brush effects
This kind of problem really slow down my work flow. So if you guy know the solution of my problem, please let me know.

Update your graphics driver/ turn off GPU usage in the performance prefs. You have an issue with hardware-based transparency handling most likely. Otherwise you could have an issue with your input device, but since you have not provided any system info, we can't really know anything.

I'm new to Logic. I've been watching tutorials and they show that the esc key is the shortcut key for the toolbox but nothing happens when I press mine. Nothing happens at all. In your last screenshot you seem to have set up the Tools command to receive in-coming MIDI??
Turn OFF "Learn new Assignment", select the 'No message received yet" and then "Delete the assignment" (bottom).
As you appear to have problems with the ESC key, why not try assigning the Show Tool Menu to any other keycombo as a temporary test?
Then re-assign it back to the ESC key (and the other suggestions from Erik)

Why does the vector selection tool (white arrow) change layer selection to another vector mask?

I have been continually annoyed, when creating a vector mask-heavy document, with trying to select vector mask points by dragging a rectangle only to find that it instead selects a layer higher up which has a larger vector mask.
The only workaround is to manually select the points of my mask or to drag a rectangle from outside the canvas, meaning I have to zoom out or scroll to the edge - sometimes annoying if I am zoomed in quite far.
Does anyone know any resolution for this?
I know that the move tool can be set to automatically select a layer, depending on what part of the image is clicked, but why is there not an option to turn this off for vector editing?

The White Arrow tool is the direct selection tool and it work best way you point it at a path segment line and click once. When you do all the control points in a close path segment will be marked with little squares and the two control point adjacent to where you clicked will have handles you can adjust.
You can also drag out a rectangle with the direct selection tool. When you do you may select many closed paths in a path a path may have many sub paths and each has a mode like add, subtract, intersect etc, and each has a stacking order like in a layer stack. So if you drag out a rectangle many paths control points will be marked and control point adjacent to crossing rectangle will have handles. Can be very confusing.
Here are two screen capture the first on shows the layer palette and path palette. You can see many shapes and path with sub paths and modes. I also targeted layer a vector mask. The selected the direct selection tool and in the image window I pointed at the 45 degree oval path near the top right. You cab see the four control points and two with handles. The second screen capture I only captured the image window. I used the direct selection tool and draged out a rectangle and you cab see many segments control points and many have handles. I have no problem selecting what I want to select

a.) why do we need a GIS tool to render ?
1.) what is the advantage of GIS tool ?
2.) why not write your Java code to render ? ( is that difficult to do that ?)

a.) If you want to view your spatial data as a map.
1.) Combine Oracle data with data from elsewhere (e.g. Shape files directly)
2.) If all you need is a simple map, yes one could do that, for simple map viewing
it is not too difficult, but if you want a little more (complex queries presented in a nice
UI it will take you).

Why does paintbrush size and tools change with zooming?

Why does the paintbrush tool change sizes when zooming in and out? It's so annoying. Is there a way to fix this? Btw I use version CS4. Does it happen to all the other tools? I tried them it seems not but I can't tell unless it's a big difference in brush size like the paintbrush tool. Thanks for any help!

I was going to answer the same Rob, but then I tried it and found that it doesn't do that. If I draw a stroke with the paintbrush and then zoom in, the brush remains the same size and if I draw another stroke it is thinner than the first and so on as you zoom in further.
I think that is what the OP is asking about... since the paint brush is not working with lines, the thickness of the stroke probably is not treated a a pixel-based property, more as a fill, so the thickness of the stroke does change on the stage relative to the coordinate system, getting thinner as you zoom in, but the tool/stroke itself stays the same size to the user -- meaning... if it looks like it's 1/4 inch thick relative to holding a ruler to the screen, you will see it as being 1/4" thick on your screen regardless of the zoom factor.

Why doesn't the import tool work in Thunderbird 24.7.0?

I'm running Thunderbird 24.7.0, on Mageia Linux 4.1, with the KDE4 desktop. Thunderbird was installed from the Mageia repositories using their package manager, rpmdrake. I have many filters that I have created on earlier versions of Thunderbird, and wish to import them. However, when I go to the "tools" menu, and pick "import", and then choose the radio button to import "filters", I get a message: "Choose the file you would like to import", but below that, is only a blank white box. I cannot click on it to get a cursor, and the "next" button is grayed-out and non-functional. Only the "back" and "cancel" buttons work.
The filters I wish to import are simple text files, created in Thunderbird, and saved to back-up. It appears that perhaps the UI is breaking at the point where it should let me browse for files to import. Is this possibly something that has gone wrong with the Mageia build of Thunderbird? -Or is this a common issue? -And is there a fix for it? Thank you!

import only imports third party mail clients. It does not transfer profile data or parts of it from installation to installation.
Simply copy the msgfilterrules.dat file yourself

Why doesn't my burn tool work?

I'm creating cartoon/painted imagery in CS 5, in doing so, I'm using multiple vector masks. My burn tool works sometimes, and other times it doesn't. I use the dodge tool, it works fine, then I try switching to the burn tool, and nothing happens. Meanwhile, it's working on similar layers that I made previously. I can't fathom what would cause it not to work, considering that the dodge tool is working on the same layer, and the the burn tool is working on other layers that I created the exact same way.
I'm not photoshop incompetent, so YES, I do have the layer selected. I'm doing everything correct to my knowledge. I provided a printscreen. Ignore my plethora of layers and my half completed Macklemore. As you can see, I have the neck layer selected. which I just finished using the dodge tool on, but when I go to switch to the burn tool, it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I have several line drawings i did in flash and i can't fill any of them. Iv done all the drawings with the pen tool and they are all sealed but the tool wont let me use it.

It probably 'isn't' closed. I've seen that many time where you think the line is closed but it's not. Some things to try are to select the whole drawing and zoom in and then try to fill. Or smoothing the lines one time sometimes closes lines that were only one pixel open. Also using the gap size helps a lot. If all else fails you can upload the drawings here and we can try to help further.

Why isn't the highlighter tool working?

I have searched on line tried a forum, tried adobe help, tech support refers to forum, wasted over half an hour on this adobe....
The test is searchable, I've closed and reopened the pdf file. Still the highlighter tools is not working.

It does not say secured in the title bar.
When I go Edit/Protection/Security Properties/ in the Document Properties pop up Security tab,
under Document Security it shows
Security Method: No Security,
Canbe Opened by: All versions of Acrobat,
and under Document Restrictions Summary,
everything is allowed except Document Assembly; Signing; and Creation of Template Pages.
I just copied and pasted the whole document and everything seems to have pasted to WordPad, including quotes, apostrophes, hyphens, colons, commas, brackets, @, and periods, except 3 logos and underlining. The text lines were not all in the same place, as if someone hit return after a sentences. Everything on the pdf page can be highlighted with the cursor, but nothing seems to make the highlighter tool active.
