You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
Also, see iTunes- Restoring iOS software.

If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup.
If you can not restore your device then you will need to go to recovery mode.
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
         1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
         2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
              and Home buttons.
         3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
             start with step 2 again.
         4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
         5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
         6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

  • Pass code lock app

I'm looking for an app, if any, that would turn on the pass code lock when I leave my house. I know this app was available if you jailbroke your iPhone. I don't need my pass code on when I am home but at work it is handy. Is there an app or would apple incorporate this feature in the next iOS update? The reminder app has a similiar feature to where it uses the GPS to alert you when you leave or arrive at a predetermined location. I want the passcode to turn on when I either enter my home (GPS) or a predetermined wifi area. Thanks in advance.

  • How to turn off Pass Code lock

I am using Google Apps.  I setup my iPhone 4s Mail account following these instructions, http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740.  As instructed I used the Microsoft Exchange account.  Later I set up a pass code and turned Pass Code lock ON.  Mail works perfectly, however I am not given the choice to turn Pass Code lock Off.  I do not believe Microsoft Exchange requires Pass Code Lock as I setup another user's iPhone 4s the same way, but never activated Pass Code Lock.  (On this phone I still have the option of setting up a Pass Code and turning it on.)
I would like to be able to turn off Pass Code Lock.

    hi
my phone has now anti pass code lock. When i try to turn on the phone, there is a voice activated. And there is a passcode screen, but it does not seem to accept my passcode. It doesnt even say that i entered wrong code or anything. It just says aloud the number i am entering. Also, my phone is not sync with i-tunes or anything. Kindly help me out

Hello RABAIL,  Let's give you back the key to unlock your phone!  Have you tried a soft reset of the device by holding the Power and Home keys until the device restarts?  If this was not successful I may suggest restoring the device through iTunes back to the factory settings.  Here is a link to complete a restore:  http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=39607  Please keep me updated on the status as I would be happy to help further.
    Thank you,

Then restore via iTunes. The iOS device will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

I have entered the wrong numbers to put my phone in pass code lock.  However, I didn't set the autolock....how can I get the pass code lock reset?

Your only choice is to place the phone in DFU mode (search Google for instructions) and restore as a new device.  You will lose all your data.

  • Pass code unlock option no long available on my Iphone4

Please help.  I can no longer see the pass code unlock option on my Iphone4.  Although I realize the importance of security, this feature can become a nuisance when you have to continuously type in the pass code.  I do not have Microsoft Exchange or is it tied into corporate email.  My Iphone is for personal use only.  This is extremely frustrated when driving and you need to type in the pass code in order to reach the phone pad.  I am on version 4.3.5.  With the focus on driving and texting, I am surprised Apple would run the risk of forcing someone to type a password while driving.  Thank you.

Thank so much for the quick response.  Took your advice and everything appears to be working!!!

Just bought an i-phone 3 at a pawn shop but it's pass code locked....any easy solutions?

I don't believe that the blacklist prevents it from 'activating' the phone, just from having cellular service. I've never tried it (since I don't have a blacklisted phone), nor can I find anything that confirms or denies that process.  But the way that the activation works, I don't see it interfereing with Wi-Fi, just with active cellular connections.
In any event, it's always caveat emptor at a pawn shop.

  • Cant turn pass code lock off

Cant turn my pass code lock off. I go to setting and pass code lock when i press I enter apss code but the next screen willnot let me turn off pass code

If you have an Exchange email account on your iPad then it's possible that the account administrator is forcing the use of a passcode as a security measure

  • HT1212 phone pass code locked on phone and will not sync with computer. we forgot passcode

Phone Pass Code locked and will not sync with computer. Back up and restore with itunes

Bummer because now you can not back up. But you can put the device in recovery mode and have itunes restore it. Turn the device off while the device is off hold down the home button while holding the home button down connect the cable to the phone and keep holding home button until you see itunes logo and cable image on the on the phone. Itunes will say its discovered a device in recovery mode click ok and click restore.

  • Pass code lock

does anyone know if there is a way to change my pass code remotely? Iphone 4 was stolen yesterday and somehow they were able to get into phone although phone locked with code. want to change & then wipe info off.

    No.
With a MobileMe account installed on the iPhone with Find My iPhone enabled with the account settings on the iPhone, you could find where your iPhone is located and/or initiate a remote wipe. If someone was able to bypass your Passcode which means you had a very simple Passcode such as 1111 or something easy to guess, the person was extremely lucky (the Passcode lock feature includes an erase all data option after 10 failed Passcode attempts if enabled) or has a method available to bypass the Passcode on any iPhone, the person would also know how to prevent a MobileMe account from finding the iPhone and using the remote wipe.
Your only option is filing a police report, contacting AT&T to report your iPhone as lost or stolen, and changing the password for each email account that was being accessed on your iPhone.
