Why Price is mandatory in PR even when set as Optional

Hi All,
We have a material for which we did not maintain the price in material master and in the purchase requistion we maintained in the screen layout we have maintained the price and price unit as optional.
While creating the Purchase requistion we are getting error " saying enter the price".
Why we are getting this error.

It is possible not to enter the material valuation price in the Purchsae requisition in case the material price is not known at the time of the Purchase requisition creation. The material valuation will flow from the material master data if the material value is entered in the material accounting view.
In case the field is put on the display then the material price is not required to be maintained at the purchase requisition level.
Change the enjoy transaction settings in the system:
SPRO - Materials Management - Purchasing- Purchase Requisition- Define Screen Layout at Document Level
In this select the enjoy transaction ME51N and change the indicator for the Price from Quantity and Price.

Your previous tabs will not re-open or be available to re-open when starting Firefox if:

IPod continuously flashes "Do not Disconnect" even when set to automatic.

iPod continuously flashes "Do not Disconnect" even though iTunes says "Update is Complete" and even when set to automatic update. It mounts both in iTunes and on the Desktop.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I have alredy tried rebooting both the iPod and computer.

Welcome to the discussions.
Sounds like you've got Disk Use enabled. Try unchecking the Box "Enable Disk Use" under iTunes>Preferences>iPod Tab.

LV Crashes when setting history options

LV will crash when setting history options on VIs. This happens at least in LV 8.0.1 on Mac OS X. Other systems or versions may or may not be affected. This happens when opening a reentrant VI as a reference and then using a property node to set these options.
An example is attached for LabVIEW 8.0.1.

Ok, for me, it crashes under LV 8.0.1 with and without the 0x08 flag set. Under 8.20b13 it did not crash at all either way. Mac OS X.
I have a work around. This code was only trying to work around another bug . So I deleted the property settings from my development code and more or less have things working. The original bug above is annoying but I have worked around it. I just really want to make sure that LV doesn't crash under any circumstances. Glad that a CAR has been generated.
Hopefully it has been permanently fixed in LV 8.20! I will check as soon as I get my disks in a few months.>

Why is Firefox not updating extension automatically when set to do so?

None of the extension will update, not even when I press check for updates.

Maybe check the related extensions.update prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.

Can you install a new version of of an extension that has an update available?
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

Inernet Explorer error when setting report options to xml

I get an error message stating that I need ot upgrade my ie to version 6 when I try to set reporting options to xml. The ie version on the PC is 6.0.2900.2180....
Has anyone had this problem?

Regarding your questions, I found the key to be missing on 3 computers. One was a Dell Laptop with factory installed XP pro and the other 2 were Stealth computers (rack mount) also with XP pro from the factory.
The computeres are on our network and get updates regularly, so I do not know if the updates had anything to do with the problem.

Why do Facebook notifications pop up even when notifications are off?

This is with my iPad 2 running iOS 6.1.
I get notifications from FaceBook popping up in the middle of my screen. But in Settings > Notifications I have it set to Manually and FaceBook is "Not in Notification Center" plus under FaceBook I have Notification Center turned OFF and alert style set to None.
So why do notifications appear?

Hi,
I have an Apple ID that is based on an External to Apple email address.
I registered this for iCloud and got an @me.com name at the time.
I later got an @iCloud.com Email Address as well.
I can access here to post, iTunes and App Store with any of these ID/Names and access my Apple Account.
They have a common Password.
In iMessages I use the external to Apple email.
I use the same one on my main iPhone.
This Number is then listed in my iMessages Settings
On my second iPhone I used the @me.com email as the Apple ID
iMessages treats them separately to a certian extent.
It does however keep asking me to Add the (2nd) iPhone Number and the linked Apple ID to the iMessages settings on the Mac (and now and then to the 1st iPhone as well).
Despite me refusing the pop ups that link them when they arrive the @me.com emails shows up as an "Alias" on the Mac's iMessages account.
I am wondering if something similar to this is what has happened to you ?
It could be you have older @mac.com names or even @me.com ones that were originally linked sub accounts (Family account sub emails) ?
In the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder enter ~/Library/Preferences into the Dialogue box.
(you can Copy from here and Paste there)
Find the com.apple.iMessages.bag.plist and delete it on the Macs that have the IDs you don't want to use on that machine.
This will remove emails and iPhone numbers so you may have to reset your own iPhone to then Accept the pops ups when they appear.

Price Variance hitting PPV account even when there is stock.

Dear Experts,
We have scenario where stock is transferred from one plant to another within the same company code. However the price difference between invoice and PO price is being posted to PPV account eventhough there is Material Stock.

Sorry for interupting between, please let me share some views on ML, anyhow consider Ajay's input as final.
Let us assume this way:
Present your RM price as 100 Rs.
Your PO is raised for 150 Rs and the stock is 20 KG
When you have your GR, the entry you might see is...
Dr. RM stock account (20*100)                        2000
Dr. Purchase price variance ((150-100)*20)    1000
Cr. GR/IR                                                        -3000
Still stock has not been issued to any production order or any cost center etc, so RM stock left with you is 20 KG
So this might be your scenario, and you are expecting the purchase price diffference should be posted to stock, instead of purchase price variance. Since price control you have made as S (that understood from earlier talk), it is the right behaviour of the system.
If you want to make the system to consider the difference to stock, then obvously you need to have ML.
Please have a look at ML process, how system is going to roll up the difference.
Again assume that inorder to manufacture a particular FG, you are using the above RM of 15 KGs.
So the RM left at stock after issue will be 5 Kgs
If you maintain all the settings related to actual costing (ML), at the month end we will be performing ML process, where we will be having different steps to go, among those for the time being these two are important as you want to see the diffence updation to stock.. (explaining only for purchase price differences, but in real system is going to have preliminary value, purchase price difference, production variance and exchange rate differences also)
single level price determination: by this system is going to calculate what is the amount have to be considered for the respective level (here it is RM) and how much amount to be distributed to next level
Since 5 Kgs of stock is left out, system is going to allocate at RM level (total difference amount * inventory remaining/total inventory) i.e. (1000*5/20) = 250
This amount of 250 will be added to RM stock
at the same time system is going to calculate what amount to be distributed to higher level also (becuase already we issued 15 kgs to FG manufaucturing and at the time of issue system has considered 100 Rs as issue price, but in real it should be issued considering PPV also)
so system is going to calculate and specifies what is the amount to be rolled up to higher level here it is (1000*15/20) = 750, but in this step system will not add 750 Rs to FG value
The adding of rollup actual costing is done in the next step i.e. multi level price determination

That sounds like it applies to us. We have ours assigned to the USER rather than the device. I'll change this and see (and then I'll bug the powers that be to see why it's taking so long to fix). We really want/need this to be assigned to users rather than device.

Why is my battery % getting lower even when my power adapter is connected

Got my new macbook pro few months back. At first I loaded battery to full and totally empty about 3 times. Currently it has 14 cycle counts. I mainly use my computer with power adapter plugged in. When I charge it to 100% then afther time passes it goes 99%, 98%, 97%... but all this time my power adapter is plugged in. When I unplug it and run it on battery and then plug power adapter in again and when it reached 100% then again afther time passes and with power adapter still plugged in, it starts to go from 100% to 99..98..97%. At this time I usually unplug it, run it on battery and then again plug it in. Whatever the % when power adapter is plugged in (100%, 99%, 98%, 97%), Time view shows always "charged". I haven't let it drop more that 97% before I unplug it, run it on battery for a while and then plug it in again.
If I let it drop more than 97% (although power adapter is plugged in) will it eventually drop to 0% and time view still shows "charged" ?
All this time I have about 3 word documents open that I'm working on, 1 pdf document open and safari with different dictionaries all at once and time afther time I shearch the internet.
Is that normal with these applications running or not?

My older computer, macbook, when it's power adapter was plugged in, it always showed 100%.

That is normal behavior. The power will drop several percent before the charge function kicks in. If you leave it on power you'll notice it start to charge somewhere around 96% maybe 95%.
You can just leave it plugged in and it'll take care of itself.

Why is autolock code always required even when 15 minute delay is set?

Although I set a 15 minute delay in PREFERENCES, my iPad Mini asks for the AUTOLOCK CODE when I open the cover a moment after closing it. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

You have the iPad cover lock/unlock preference set to "on". This causes the iPad to go into lock mode the second you close the cover. If you leave the cover open then your iPad will wait for 15 minutes to lock. You can turn off the lock when you close the cover by going to Settings->General and turning the iPad cover lock/unlock to off.

Why do my themes not work even when enabled?

I installed a theme and enabled it. There was a message to restart FF4, so I did, but when it started, it was still the default theme. I changed it back to default, restarted, changed it again to my preferred them, restarted again, and yet it was still default.

I had this & I think the reason was that I had just gotten a blue tooth headset which was turned on but I had taken it off. So I think the sounds were going there.
Yes, after I figured that out, I turned the blue tooth headset off when I took it off. Now when I just checked the sounds, they are sounding on the phone.
I guess the same woud be true if you have any other blue tooth or other device like head set or speaker set up for sounds.

Why does Illustrator change CMYK color numbers when set to preserve them?

I'm using CS2 on Mac OSX 10.4. Recently I tried importing a Photoshop image into Illustrator and then matching a color in Illustrator to a color in the Photoshop document. But Illustrator changed the CMYK values of the color in the Photoshop document even though I have "Preserve CMYK colors" checked in the color setup window. Both applications and files are set to SWOP v2.
I don't have the same problem when placing either Photoshop or Illustrator files into InDesign.
I ended up recreating the project in InDesign to get consistent color, but I need to know how to make Illustrator preserve color numbers for the project that will come up for which I need Illustrator features.

So here we are at Illustrator CC and this very simple integration has not been fixed... because as far as I'm concerned... it is a BUG!
Seriously, no offense to @Steve Fairburn... but that is just so archaic for a "suite" of programs that should work well together.
There is absolutely NO need for CMYK colors to be valued beyond solid percentages in 1% increments in either Illustrator or InDesign!
Here's a stupid workaround if you need to link images, and pull colors:
Load the image as "linked" -> duplicate it and choose "embed" -> pull the colors and make swatches with the eyedropper tool... then throw it away. You could also just relink the file after an embed, making sure to check the Adanced Options checkbox.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
1) why does InDesign give you the ability to "Reveal the Linked Image on the Desktop", whereas in Illy you can only reveal in Bridge?
2) "placing" the same PSD/PDF image in InDesign and Illustrator: ID allows for correct eydropper color pulling, while IL does not until you embed it.

Does the iPhone 5s scan thumb even when setting is turned off?

Call me paranoid but I will not get my thumb scanned anywhere. I don't really trust that they won't sell the information anywhere or at least to the NSA. Does anyone know how the button works, the code? Can anyone confirm that the button does not scan only when you choose that option. That is why I've been hesitant to upgrade from my iPhone 5. I guess I could always someone mod the phone to have a clickable button again. Thanks!

Reading this makes me feel a little better. Still would probably put a piece of tape over the home button just in case. NSA won't have a chance!
