Why request "afr/column-select.cur" when move mouse?

I runed a ADF page with a ADF table component, and I notice a strange phenomenon:
When I moved mouse on the ADF table each time, it would send a reqeust "afr/column-select.cur".
I guess it is the cursor defination file for ADF table, but why send reqeusts to the server for this file each time?
Does it affect the performance?

I think you should "clean-All" your project first and then rebuilt.Make sure you have not applied any clientListener on the form.

SSAS Source - Column selection lost when modifying an existing "Add Item" step

When developing a Power Query query on an SSAS source, I often need to edit an existing "add items" step in order to add a few columns that I had initially missed out. To do this, I point to the step previously created and click on the small gear
icon to edit it.
However, when doing so, the edit dialogue is not initialised with all the columns that I had previously selected. Which means that if I am not careful and do not scrupulously recheck every column that I need, the modification will destroy what I had created
before.
Inserting another step rather than modifying an existing one might be a workaround, but I would rather keep the number of steps to the minimum. Also, if there is an edit button, one should be able to rely on it.
Has anyone experienced the same issue?

This is a known issue that will be resolved in an upcoming release.
A work-around for now when using the UI builder to edit a selection is to expand dimensions that had an attribute added from it before dismissing the dialog.

Why won't my PHOTOS appear when move from OS( to OSX? Get Unix files!

This is the problem with keeping photos electronically. I copied a number of jpeg photos from my G4 OS 9.2 to my G4 Dual OSX via SanDisk and they all appear in the desktop as Unix files! Are they worthless?

no, they are not useless. First try to double-click one. Does it open? Does it open in the correct program?
Click any photo and type Apple-i to get the information window. In the lowest third of the window you can see a pop-up menu called "Open with". Select the desired application and finally click "Apply to all".
From now on the icon should be o.k. and they should open with the assigned application.

Change selected tab when move from one view to another

Hi all,
I have a tabbedviewnavigator application where I have 5 tabs in it. So, the first tab contains the first view of the application, e.g. HomeView. Inside this view, I have a button where upon clicking it, it will push to the second view which is sitting in the second tab.
How do I change the selected tab index upon clicking the button? Because right now the selected tab is till on the first tab. Please help.

When you set selected index of 2nd tab, try to set focus on of any control in 2nd tab. It might happen that if you don't set focus on of any control tab may not change.

Set doc to only popup when move mouse WAY below edge of screen?

Has someone ever come up with a way to manage the Dock?
Ideally, I'd like to set it so that it NEVER pops up unless I move my mouse WAY below the edge of the screen.
Right now, it always gets in the way of using my apps.
Or, just a specific corner to set it off?
Just some way to stop it from popping up when I'm trying to work with a Pro app, where I'm often at the edges of the screen.

I'd be very happy to kill off the doc - as it only works for so many programs before becoming cumbersome, and seems just a feature to amaze Mac neophytes with a cool effect, until they start getting annoyed with it.
As a non-neophyte who has been using computers for a very long time, including Unix mainframes, I don't see the dock as a "cool effect" and I do not find it annoying.
If you spent more time in a terminal, perhaps you would see the difference between Leopard and Windows and find some really "cool" stuff down under the hood, where we non-neophytes usually hang out.

My toolbar is gone when you open firefox can't see tabs that are open or anything. But if you move the mouse to the top of the screen it appears but it does not show the firefox tab and now my bookmark icon is not on the toolbar but the home icon is.

Trouble selecting emails when holding mouse button a fraction too long

I'm setting up a mac mini with Lion installed for an aging friend. When she clicks on a message in Mail she seems to hold the mouse button down a fraction longer than usual and a small image of an envelope appears. The messages does not get selected and therefore does not show up in the preview pane. I'd like to turn off whatever this is or increase the delay time on it. Could you tell me what this is and how to change it?

Take a look at System Preferences > Universal Access > Keyboard tab > Slow Keys
You can also adjust the Acceptance Delay.

When I try to select bookmarks I am stymied because the mouse control is overridden. This became a recent problem. The way it worked in the past is that items were selected only when left mouse button was pressed.

I select from bookmarks menu a folder containing folders & bookmarks, but I cannot select what I want because an automatic action occurs where my mouse cursor is right then. Selecting what I want from the list is impossible as an undesired selection opens inadvertently, without me any positive action by clicking left mouse button. This problem did not exist 6 months ago. This is now a big problem for me. I'm going to stop using FireFox if this problem cannot be fixed soon!

You do not delete bookmarks in the Customize window.
You need to open the Library if you want to delete bookmarks.

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to create a new Apple ID with no credit card attached. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

The column browser is no longer available when trying to view music in iTunes. I'm only able to use the column browser only when viewing playlists. Why?

I noticed that after one of the recent updates to iTunes, I am unable to view my music using the column browser type view. Only when I select one of my playlists is the music displayed with the column browser. When I select Music to view the contents of my library, only the album covers are displayed on the right side. The old column browser type display is not available any more - it is grayed out. I do have "show list views for all media" checked in my Preferences / General tab.
Did Apple screw up or is it me?

i just purchased a file that had videos in it. i put them in the itunes library on my pc where i first downloaded them. i was able to transfer them to my other pc, a laptop, through my home network. i am now trying to get them on my mac pro desktop and my ipad2. my mac pro can see the other computers on my home network but i cannot get it to connect to them. i know the operating systems are different but was hoping i could transfer pictures and files from pc to mac this way. haven't been able to get it to work yet. the videos i am trying to get my mac to see came in a folder with both mac and pc versions. i thought if i got the videos i purchased into itunes that i would then be able to get them to my mac pro and my ipad2. i am new to mac/apple and have always been pc-centric so trying to marry it all has been difficult. i speak pc pretty well but am just learning apple. am i trying to do things that are not possible? i sure could use a knowledgable friendly soul to walk me through my issues of having pc and mac on the same network. i have been able to get all computers and ipad to print on my network. thanks.

Select the text, and open the Appearance palette (Come on guys, text highlight is irrelevant, it happens to objects too says the OP), and see what's listed there. For a simple text object, there should only be a line item "Type", followed by "Characters", and when double-clicked the Characters line item expands to tell you the stroke and fill color. For a basic object, there should be a fill and/or stroke.
What happens sometimes, is that you end up adding extra strokes/fills to objects or text, and the appearance palette is where that will be noted. Especially when you are dealing with groups, and/or picking up a color with the eyedropper, you may inadvertently be adding a fill or stroke on top of something. You can drag those unwanted thingies from the Appearance palette into its own little trash can.
