Why rmvb file not on Quicktime even by perian

I thought by installing perian i able to play rmvb file in quicktime but the answer i got was, it still couldn't. So i try to ask question on perian discussion and answer i got was Perian could not do anything unless quicktime improve it.

Subtitle files NOT loading - Quicktime / Front Row / VLC / WMplayer ????

Any help is greatly appreciated! I have downloaded subs so my Thai step son can watch some movies we have.... I'd really like to get this fixed so he can enjoy them too.
I've searched and searched only to find known glitches in both Front Row (no subs showing at all) and in Quicktime after an upgrade...
I'll explain first that I have the subtitles in the same director as the movie, name the same except the extension.
So, I tried every fix I found,.. to no avail. First, I installed VLC, loaded the .ssa (also tried .srt file too) directly into VLC... the suns show, but they're all messed up - not even in the correct language! I verified that I indeed have the font that the file calls - Cordia UPC (they are Thai subs), and I do.
So, I tried WMPlayer... it crashed nearly ever time I tried it, but again... with the subtitles would not show.
On to Perian 'plugin'.. installed it,.. version 1.1.. no dice.
Tried 'Front Row Trailers'.. no dice.
Tried my DIVX player just for the heck of it.. again, no go.
During this process, I re-downloaded the subs from multiple sites to see if there were something wrong w/ the copies I have... opensubs, thaisubtitles, etc.. all have the same outcome.
I know there has to be a way to 1)Get the subtitles to play for ALL the movies we have subs for, not just sporadically... and 2) Show them in the intended language.

Why are files not displaying in Files tab of DW Mac CS6?

Hi,
I am a long time user of DW CS6 on Windows and recently have migrated to DW CS6 on the Mac. In my site, I have dozens of .htm files instead of .html files. When I look in the Files tab of DW Mac, none of the .htm files appear there. In fact, when I re-save an .htm file as an .html file, that does not appear in the Files tab either! They all appear fine in the Mac's Finder and can be opened there, but I like the convenience of the Files tab feature. Why is it not showing individual .htm and .html files?

If that doesn't do it, the only thing I can think of is a corrupt user account on your Mac.
That Reveal in Finder not matching the contents of a browsed to folder is something I've never seen before. From what I understand of the function, it's not a DW generated folder, but a function of your OS, just like browsing to it manually. If there is no duplicate, they should be identical. I'm wondering what happens if you open the Reveal In Finder version side by side with a browsed to version, then try dragging test files back and forth.

Why the file not picked by PI

       I tried to implement a XML-to-XML senario by XI, it is like picking the file from one folder to another . and I have created and configurated everything for senario in ID and IR. and activated everything. but the file won't be picked up by XI,
      I used two computers for the senario, one for Xi, one for the business system.
      Could you please tell me why the file can't be picked up by XI. do I have to installed any FTP server
on the business system?

              There is some reasons are happended for the file is not picking.
1) If use FTP , Check your FTP Connection working or not
2)If not pick the file to XI , Check data from source end, if it wrong its shows the error in RWB->Communication Channel Monitoring--> File adapter..
3)Check the sender Communication channel configured properly or not.

Why pdf files open in quicktime?

why is it that all my pdf downlaods open in a quicktime window and wont let me see the whole pdf file, its just the first page.

Look at the file you're trying to open in the finder, highlight it, then do a "get info" from the File menu. In the "Open with" section, I would imagine that it says, "Quicktime Player." This is why it opens a Quicktime window when you open it.
You can change this, and should. ::grin::
Select "Preview" and then click on the "Change All..." button. Now all you .pdf's will open in Preview and all pages will be available for your viewing.
May all your challenges be this easy to solve.

Why ome files not getting backed up on Portable External drive (i.e. photoshop .psd files)...

My computer is dying and I purchased a Toshiba 500GB external drive so I can back up my files. I'm noticing that several files types are NOT backing-up / transferring to the Toshiba external drive. Specifically Photoshop files (.psd)...they are not even showing up? I'm confused! These are critical files that I need to get to the external drive and ensure ALL of them are
backed up and on the Toshiba drive. Any ideas? Thank you so much in advance for your help.

I can't answer that question (I don't have the program), Cindi, but I can tell you that I would scrap that backup and use another.
If you have Windows 7, here are four free ones to choose from.
   Windows 7 Native Backup
   Macrium Reflect Free
   EaseUS Todo Backup Free
   Paragon Backup & Recovery Free
These will all do the job. If you are willing to pay, I can give you some others.

File not complete - Quicktime

Twice I tried send a sequence to quicktime. The process took about a hour but only outputted half the sequence. HDV-720/60

I am all mac format ... and I did check the in and out points there are none. This is the first time I am working with 1080i in my time line. I did send it to compressor (the whole sequence appeared) and now the file is 4.67 too large to save on to a 8 gb flash drive...

How to embed audio to my website using quicktime when I get "file not found

hi,
i've been trying to embed audio into my website all night and I get a file not found message even though I;ve checked 100 times and all files are where links say they should be..
but even just linking to audio (mp4) files won't work...
everything is o.k. with non-audio links on my website - only the mp4 audio can't be found.
can anyone help me? or post the correct code?

PDF File not getting generated - PLEASE HELP

I have a jsp in a portlet from where in I call another jsp to generate a PDF file on the fly. IT is not working I have tried all sorts of stream please help.

The word opens up but nothing is WRITTEN in it. Have tried all the OutputStreams. Please help why is it not getting printed even if set proper headers.

There are some issues with this PDF file. It's not tagged but even still it has some real problems. I checked the file to see what created it and it was something called "Wine Postscript Driver" and the PDF Producer was "GPL GhostScript 9.10" When you check the file in Preflight then you will begin to understand that this is a poorly created PDF file. I've used GB to record podcasts over the past few months and each time something very troubling eventually happens: I open the file several weeks later and am told that the track onto which I recorded cannot be found.
I tend to save my GB files on an external harddrive but given that I am new to the software, I haven't paid a lot of attention to where the program might save the media.
The files that are missing are usually .aif files. I have done several searches in to try and find the missing files but with no luck. The GB files themselves are saved in the automatic My Garageband Files folder.
I don't understand why the "file not found" issue only arises after a few weeks or months of not touching Garage Band. Any idea of how I can find these tracks? Or are they lost forever?
Any help would be so appreciated.

I'm a little confused by your question. You say you are saving GB files on an external drive, yet the GB files themselves are in your My GB Files folder. In any case, here are some things you can try:
Moving forward, when you save to an external drive, select Save As and choose "Archive Project." That should keep all audio files with the project and may solve everything.
If there is a GB file on your internal drive, double click on that and see if everything is fine (in other words, this assumes the same file is on your internal drive complete, and on an external drive incomplete).
If there is a GB file on your internal drive, or anywhere for that matter, control click on it, select Show Package Contents, and look in the media folder. All your audio files should be in there (and therefore recoverable).
If you are still having problems, try recording, saving, and working with your projects on your internal drive (and backing them up to an external drive in the Finder).

Files not yet been created at Target side

Scenario is IDOC to 4 files. (Multimapping)
My scenario is working fine and got the successfull messages in Moni and checked all the 4 messages received properly.
But, when i go to the target directory there the Files not yet been created.
I have created 4 Receiver Agreements and 've used for File Content Conversion for my Target directory and the file name is "xxxx.dat" format for each receiver file.
For Content conversion :
Recordset Structure : Raj
Raj.fieldSeparator : 'nl'
Raj.endSeparator : 'nl'
Could you please let me know why the files not created at receiver end.

Finally am getting the files at receiver end. But, i don't know why the reason
when am trying to resend the inbound payload from RWB the message getting succesfully in MONI. But there was no files.
But, when i trigger the IDOC from R/3 then the files been created at target.

Thanks Jeff, I was not aware that a template could be multi-page. (All the existing templates were 1 page)
But it worked, saving me some steps. When I was finished I renamed the document, and locked it.
Then tried to save it but could not because it was locked. I closed it, went to my Spread Sheet Folder ,
to find it, it was not there. The Finder could not find it either.
So I start over again.
I opened up Numbers and it showed my personal Numbers template folder, it contained both my new
original 4 page template and the vanished saved document!
I tried to delete the template containing these document data and could not - I had to go to the Library/Application Support/Numbers to physically remove it from this folder. Then I started over again. I Finally found out how to make it work: I can now "save as", and then lock, and it will go to place where I want it to be saved and locked.
The secret is: Click on the document title in the menu bar, and it opens up "Save as...", which works the same as in OS 10.4.11, and you can pick the place you want for saving. Once done that, you can then lock the document in the same pull down menu, and then close it.
I also found later that I can delete a template from its folder, by letting Numbers open the templates,
clicking on the one I want to remove, then go to the "Numbers Menu/File/Move to...", select "Desktop"
and from there the selected template can then be thrown into the Trash from there.
It appears now that the real fault of the Numbers software is that the "Save as" command is not available in the "Edit" or "File" pull-down menus, but hidden behind the title of the document.
