Why's my iPod Nano, 5th Generation, 8GB not showing the right album covers?

Today, this morning, my iPod was fine. I added 2 new songs today and now it's gone all weird. If I go into my albums in a list all the covers are fine and dandy, no issue. But if I go into the side-scrolling menu everything's jumbled. I've got Britney Spears album 'In The Zone' on my iPod and that album cover, or a distorted version of it, now seems to have invaded way over half of my iPod! I don't understand why or how to fix it. I deleted the 2 songs I added today thinking they might somehow be jumbling it up but they're not. Everything else on iTunes seems to be fine. Please help!

Restarted your computer? Have you tried _resetting the iPod Nano?_

Delete those 2 songs from the iPod. If your artwork returns to normal, then those 2 songs somehow corrupted your iPod artwork. Download the 2 songs from somewhere else & re-enter into your iPod.

Try changing the cord. I could NOT get my computer to recognize my iPod 5th Gen until I read somewhere that different apple devices use different cords. I was inadvertently using my iPad cord and that caused my computer to not recognize my ipod.

It sounds like the iPod isn't restoring correctly. Try putting the it into Disk Mode manually and then restoring the iPod again as described in the article linked below.

Before placing the iPod into Disk Mode, verify that it has a charge.
Reset the device by pressing the Sleep and Home buttons simultaneously until the display shows the Apple logo. This should take about eight seconds.
When the Apple logo appears, press and hold the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk Mode.

My Ipod Nano 5th generation is not being detected by Widows and Itunes. I have tried everything based on the trouble shooting tips outlined. Has anyone had this situation before? How was it resolved. My Ipod is just out of warrenty

Have done all trouble shooting tech a through Apples and still have not resolved issues on Windows and itunes not detecting my Ipod nano 5th generation device. Tried restoring the device manually using disk mode and still not being detected by the computer. Device is our of warenty as when service repair charges are $125.00 dolars more than I paid for this device. There must be some way to restore the entire device to factor settings without having to be connected to itunes and Windows. I wish I could connect but again device is not being read. I have another Ipod that is 8GB instaed of 16GB and it works fine. The sad thing about this situation is that my 9year old daughter worked hard doing delivering fliers for a long time to save her money to buy this 16 GB 5th generation Nano. Otherwise the Ipod works well but will not syncronize songs as it is not being detected. Maybe this is a result of corrupt files that got onto my daughters Ipod somehow and thus causing it not the be detwected through the USB connection thus as a result not be understoud as a working device through Windows and itunes. If anyone can help me out there including itune techs that would be well appreciated, but for now my daughter is not able to add new or delete any songs on her ipod as well pictures, and everything. IPod Nano 5th generation cannot connect to the computer

My Nano 5th generation cannot connect to my computer when the device is connected to a USB cord. I have an existing library which I have synced to numerous times but all of a sudden, the iPod does not connect using the USB cord. I've tried changing ports on the computer but to no avail. I share the computer with another user who has a totally different library (their's is an iPod Touch) and there is no problem connecting this iPod Touch to the computer and iTunes library. Have you tried plugging the iPod into a different USB port? Sometimes this can fix the problem of a device not being seen by a computer.

Yesterday, after listening to my iPod, I forgot to lock it and it died. When I tried to charge it, however, the screen would not even light up. I then connected it to my computer just to see what it would do (I have a wall charger) and my computer recognized it but itunes did not. The screen stayed black. Do I need a new battery, or is something else going on?

I've uninstalled and installed iTunes, gone through the 5Rs, attempted all the USB ports, restarted the computer, attempted putting the iPod in Disk Mode, and I'm now going to put my iPod on YouTube with a shameful sign on it to punish it until it connects to my computer and uploads my new music! My iPod won't reset, I've toggled the lock button and held down both the center and play and the center and menu buttons. Also, my computer and dock do not recognize it when I plug it in. I tried plugging it in to a new port on the macbook, but nothing changed. Since it does not turn on by itself, when plugged into a computer, or when on a dock, I'm assuming it's interior problems. I have not dropped it or gotten it wet at all. What should I do? Thanks!

How long have you left the iPod to charge? It can take up to 30 minutes for the iPod to power on or show any signs of life. How long did you press and hold the Select (Center) and Menu buttons to reset the iPod?
It might not to also make use of another USB sync cable if you have one laying around to rule out the possibility of a faulty/damaged cable.

I'm not sure if it charged when I hooked it up to my roommate's computer, but it definately didn't register either. If I put it on the dock it plays so the port is fine, but that still doesn't help me sync it to my computer.
