Why script is being used while smartforms in action

I worked on scripts and smartforms,
i gone through that scripts has some limitations and these can be overcomed by Smartforms.
My question is why still, SAP has provided scripts without ignoring it in the latest versions.

i think i and u can't ooptimize SAP better then them , earlier there was only scripts and they developed mass printing forms using that , after words SF comes .
so in new version they replace Scripts with SF as good as possible , but changing by layout not mean that u done all the things , but change in driver programs also have to do.
and there driver program so much optimaized that changing it may change a lot .
so i think this is the reason.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SMARTFORMS AND SAPSCRIPTS ARE:
1. script is client dependent one while smartform is client independent.
2. In scripts we have to write print program while in smart forms it is not necessary.
3. In scripts we can print background logo while in smartforms we cant print background logo
4. In scripts we have 99 main windows while in smartforms we have only 1 main window.
5. In scripts we should write paragraph format otherwise we cant execute program while in smartforms no need to create paragraph formats .
6. In scripts we can print the text in only two character formats.
while in smartforms we can do with more.
7. In scripts we dont have line types while in smartforms we have linetypes.
8.Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts

Whenever a smartform is created, a funciton module gets generated. So, we can access the smartform in different clients. But in case of scripts, it is not so.. So, scripts are client dependent.
Smart Forms are implemented using the Function Module SSF*, and all the logic lies in the FM. Function Modules are client independent objects, so Smart forms are also client independent
SAP Scripts are the Layout Forms that you design and there are aviable in the client in which you have created them, for making them available you have to copy across the clients.
Because, Sapscripts are saved in ITF format as text in client dependant tables STXH and STXL. smartforms are not saved in client dependant tables and visible across clients.
SAPscript technology is based on a mainframe product from the 1980s, while Smart Forms have only been around since (roughly) 2001. With that sort of time gap, there are bound to be significant differences between the two tools. As you have noted correctly, client dependence is a fundamental one.
Although SAPscript has had some incremental improvements over time, its forms have always been -- under the hood -- relatively passive objects, with minimal embedded logic. These forms were designed to be driven and controlled by ABAP programs, much in the way ABAP programs read in database tables to produce reports; if you ever download a SAPscript form (e.g., via utility program RSTXSCRP), and look at the portable text file it produces you'll see what I mean. Many text objects (e.g., invoice header texts) are bound directly to documents which are client-dependent, so it makes sense for these text objects to also be client-dependent. From a complexity standpoint, SAPscript forms are close enough to these text objects where I can see how it made sense at the time to make them client-dependent too.
Conversely, a Smart Form is significantly more robust and complex. For instance, it can contain program nodes and nested tables with patterns. When a Smart Form is compiled, it generates an ABAP function module and these are always client-independent. This is appropriate, given that this form has more in common with an ABAP program than its predecessor. For instance, when a print program calls a Smart Form, the form itself takes over to produce output, without any further direction from the print program. In fact, the join is so seamless that I often find myself using a Smart Form's Initialization section for logic to handle any data gathering not handled by the print program. I would never even think to attempt this with SAPscript.
I suspect several factors figured into SAP's decision to make Smart Forms client-independent, including customer feedback. There are significant advantages to client-independence. For instance, a change made in one development client happens immediately across all development clients. Among other things, this means we don't have to waste time figuring which client contains the most recent version -- they all do! In addition, transporting Smart Forms is easier, since we can safely bundle them together in the same transport as their client-independent print programs (no worry about mixing client-dependent and independent objects).

How to change the g/l a/c being used while doing goods issue using migo

The stock a/c is debited and credited due to t.code obyc where for inventory posting I have assigned a/c 2300000 for valuation class assigned to material.
now I want to have a/c no 4800689 in place of 4800569. how can i change that.
that is when I issue material from stock this should be debited to 4800689 instead of 4800569. please provide t.code to change the gl from 4800689 from 4800569

Cellular data being used while connected to WIFI and not in standby
I am connected to my home WIFI on my iphone 4, but while my router is not connected to internet (so I should not have internet on my iphone), I noticed I am still receiving push notifications,
I finally read here that while on standby, wifi is turned off and 3G is used, ok.
now here is the problem, looking at the General>Usage>Cellular Usage, even if I am not on standby and I am using the phone, I have data usage (sent and recieved), I reopen the Celluar Usage and see the numbers are constantly increasing, and more strange is some (not all) of the push notification do come through (eg in my case for an app called FavFriends),
another friend of mine has a simillar problem on iphone 4s.
what is this celluar usage in the background?????from what I knew so far, iphone should not use the 3G if wifi is connected, eventhough there is no internet on that wifi,
so in my case, if iphone is actually detecting no internet and switching to 3G, I should have internet on all apps (safari, etc..) which i dont, just data usage increasing with no internet in any apps (that is a 3G usage which is limited more than even when on standby),
and if it is not supposed to switch, it brings another question, that if 3G is used when wifi connected (with no internet), are there any background 3G usage (push notifications, etc), while wifi has internet and it is supposed to utilize the wifi internet?
so basically, I was under the assumption that 3G would not be used unless wifi is disconnected, regardless of internet access, and I dont find anything that says otherwise. -
Data being used even on WiFi? Lumia 1520
I recalled this being an issue with users in the past with other devices until GDR3 fixed this. Somehow on my Lumia 1520 I used over 3GB of "Media Streaming" data according to Data Sense in the last 2 weeks. I don't see how this is possible as I'm connected to wifi 95% of the time. If I'm not connected to wifi I don't do more than send texts, a few instant messages or emails. I don't stream videos and I have both Xbox Music and auto upload of pics and videos turned off.
This concerns me greatly as I am now 680MB away from hitting my 6GB limit and I still have 9 days to go. Overage charges are BRUTAL on my carrier (Rogers). I assume that even when it shows wifi as connected it's actually not connected. I will now have to disconnect and reconnect to wifi to play it safe before I stream or view any online media with my 1520.
Anyone else seeing this issue or have any suggestions?

It is far more likely you did not notice you were on Cellular data at some point. And 680 MB in 9 days when (by your own words) you are on Wi-Fi 95% of the time should not be a problem. if your usage pattern is as you say it is (with sending SMS not even being on data anyway.
Well on average I use about 3-4GB a month previously with my Lumia 920. With my Lumia 1520 I have reached 6GB in 3 week with still just over a week to go. I've had to turn off my data completely to keep myself from overage charges. My concern is that I don't understand why data is being used while connected to wifi at home. If I have my device setup to connect to wifi automatically at home, and as you suggested, I have it set to stay connected to wifi after the screen times out.. then why is it still using data over wifi? And to make it worse the phone tricks me by showing me an active wifi connection in the status bar. So I'll be at home, comfortably surfing the next, streaming media while under the assumption that I'm connected to wifi since it shows I'm connected to wifi but in reality I'm using data. Why do I have to manually disable wifi and re-enable it just to feel assured I'm using wifi? I never had to do this on my Lumia 920.
So far in the last 4 days I've only witnessed my phone hold connection to wifi over a period of several hours twice without me manually needing to disconnect and reconnect again. But sadly, there was no obvious answer to why it worked those 2 random times that it did. Is the issue my router? Do I have a botched device that needs replacement? I've consulted others on WPCentral's forums and found several others reporting the same issue though it doesn't appear widespread. I just need to know if I need to up my data plan to 10GB to cover myself from constant overages. -
Why my Data was used when I was connected to my home internet.
I used the rest of my monthly data while I was connected to my houses internet connection. It does not reset until the 22. Why was my data being used while I was connected to MY OWN INTERNET!
Hello, my phone is a Motorola Droid Maxx Red 16gb, my plan is $60 a month
with unlimited talk/text 1 GB data. I found that I used my plan data when I
got an alert for hitting my limit that I set for my self at 900 mb. I keep
100 mb in emergency reserve. Yesterday at my house I was viewing YouTube
for a bit and then I was alerted I was out of usable data. I rarely use
YouTube outside of my house because it eats my data. I had used less than
400 mb of my data before yesterday and YouTube alone used around 540 mb. I
know I was connected to my home internet because my phone notifies when I
am connected or disconnected from my home connection. That's all the info

How to make sure mlib_jai_mmx.dll or mlib_jai.dll are being used in JAI.

I am converting a Tiff image in to Jpeg by using JAI.
But facing a performance bottleneck in this process.
The performance of JAI will be better if the native acceleration is used.
I want to make sure whether the dlls are being used while this conversion is taking
place Or the processing is happening through the java implementation of JAI.I am able
to delete / rename the dlls while image conversion is in progress, so I am sure whether
these dll's are ever used.
The ReadMe also says that "But if the nature of the sources and parameters of the operation are incompatible with the native operation then processing will revert to Java code"
Whether the operation that i m doing is incompatible..?

Iphoto on my macbook pro has stopped working. It comes up with a message saying that the library is either being used by another user or it is unreadable. Any ideas why I should be receiving this message?
"Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable"
Offered solution doesn't work:
Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this, quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the Option and Command keys pressed. You can also try restoring your photo library from a backup.
I have already copied my photographs to the a library manager but when I tried to reuse iphoto and import the photos back into iphoto, it would not let me.
I can't download photographs from my iphone or my digital camera.
Any ideas on how I can solve this problem?
There is a possibility that when I went to update applications that I started to install Mavericks which I then interrupted and cancelled. I am not definite that this caused this problem but it was at about the same time as when this problem started.

EdI have already copied my photographs to the a library manager but when I tried to reuse iphoto and import the photos back into iphoto, it would not let me.
You can't "copy" your photos to the "library manager", there is just no way to any such thing.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Fairly new battery not charging after not being used for a while
My computer (Elitebook 2530p) has not been used for a while, perhaps a month or two. The battery used to hold for over 3 hours of light use.
Now, the battery won't charge with the message "0% available (plugged in, not charging)"
I can't find a battery refresh utility in the BIOS, or any way to interact with the battery. Is there something I'm missing? Should the battery just go dead after not being used for a while?
Update: fixed typoI've run the HP battery check and got the code REOOW. Battery is dead, and I am out of warranty. I can't think of any possible reason why this should have happened.

I thinkg the INTERNAL_FUNCTION is an implicit cast from DATE to TIMESTAMP.
Can anyone please throw any light on why the index on the table wouldn't be used in this case?

Why is 6GB ram being used with barely anything going on?
So I'm looking at my Activity Monitor for the first time since I got the late 2013 Macbook Pro.
To my amazement it's showing 6GB being used or 75% of my 8GB?!
But looking at the activity monitor is showing that the highest ram use is Kernel Monitor at 600MB.
After that it's com.apple.ServiceAgent @ 170MB and Google Chrome at 140MB.
Than there are like 15 "Google Chrome Helpers" ranging from like 100-30MB. What in the world is "Google Chrome Helpers" this seems like some kind of operating system bug to me...
I have about 13 Google Chrome tabs open but even more Helpers than tabs in the Activity Monitor...
There's no way a small Google Chrome session should take up well over 1gb ram?!
Even still, if I estimate all the Memory usage displayed in my Activity monitor it should be low 2GB, defenitely less than 3GB.
So why is it saying 6GB in use? The MAC OS couldn't possibly be 3 GB right???
This is crazy and I've noticed my MAC is pretty sluggish today while I'm trying to work. What in the world is going on here?
Can I manually cancel all those " Google Chrome Helpers" for starters?
On Windows 7 I could have literally 100's of internet tabs open and see less than 6GB ram useage no joke! Need help here please.That all sounds great in theory but I'm looking at my Activity Monitor right now and it says:
Compressed: 0 bytes
So it sounds like I'm not getting any of the benefits with the compression from that article?
My other stats are looking like:
App Memory: 3.41 GB
File Cache : 2.05 GB
Wired Memory: ~1GB
My memory pressure looks about 20% at least even with 6.65 GB active.
Is there a reason why I have no compressed memory? It sounds like that was the whole point of this system but it's not doing anything for me? Or does that only kick in once you use up all 8GB?
I'm not sure about all this. I've been a PC guy all my life and overall I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with both my macbook pro and the iPad air I just got. But I got this stuff so I can develope games for iOS using Unity 3D, and I need a laptop. So I didn't make this purchase for the heck of it, this is business to me. And recently I've noticed that Unity 3D and Monodevelop are becoming increasingly sluggish. Because I'm having some lag problems even with just using Monodevelop which is a simple IDE for my C# work, I have been trying to figure out what's the problem here.
Apparently lots of others are having trouble with Mac OS Maverick when using Unity 3D. I'm just hoping this stuff gets sorted out and doing my best to see if I can improve the performance.
Are there any guides for optimizing a macbook pro for faster performance? It's not acceptable for me to have lag while I work. Right now I'm trying to work only on the macbook pro so I get used to it and can hopefully work nearly as fast as the PC even without using duel monitors so I can work on the go.
Just such a big difference from PC where I am quite profficient. On MAC I have no clue what I can do to fix lag.
Is there a way to modify what progams launch on start up similar to on PC typing "msconfig" in start bar allows you to edit this kind of thing?
Unity 3D is a pretty big deal for iOS and MAC development so hopefully if it is just some kind of code problems with Unity and Maverick this get's sorted out ASAP. Until then I'm doing my best to see if there's any thing I can do on my end.
The huge RAM usage was a big red flag to me on first glance, but I guess you guys are saying this is fine. Still seems strange to me how much RAM is being used, on PC I can't imagine ever needing more than 8GB Ram, on Mac it seems like this could be pretty easy to accomplish, which explains why there is 16GB RAM models which to me seemed excessive.
So I'm guessing it's normal to have that many "Google Chrome Helpers" active at once? -

Why am I being charged for data when connected to wifi AND not using my phone?!
WHY am I being charged for data that I'm not using? At times when I'm asleep AND my phone is connected to wifi?! This happens at really specific, alternating times like 9:54 pm every day, or 12:01 am, 6:01 am and then 12:01pm and 6:01pm. When I called I was told "maybe your wifi at home is disconnecting" or "maybe your phone is connecting to atnt or sprint". It's not possible that my phone is disconnecting from wifi every six hours on the dot and, at that exact time, I'm always using data. I find it hard to believe that I live in a HUGE city and my phone magically connects to other networks and I NEVER notice this. Verizon is full of LIARS (and maybe’s) and I'm not convinced that these data charges are a coincidence. I was told to turn off my cellular data to see if the problem resolves itself. Why should I alter my daily life when Verizon is clearly the one with the issue? I hope there's a class action lawsuit because Verizon is trying to get over on everyone! I need answers!

Why am i being charged twice for 11.04 and 11.46 when I did not purchase those songs, I used an itunes card 25$ and I still have 0.04 cents left?
I couldnt redeem w/o an apple ID so when i did it asked for a credit card. Btw, a simpler way to do this is to revert to older iTunes app, then hold Option when it launches and choose an older library. -
Why can I not attach a document to an email? Every time I want to send an email with a document attached to it, an error notice pops out. It tells me that the file is being used even when iall other programs are closed. How can I fix this issue?
Thanks Jeff, I was not aware that a template could be multi-page. (All the existing templates were 1 page)
But it worked, saving me some steps. When I was finished I renamed the document, and locked it.
Then tried to save it but could not because it was locked. I closed it, went to my Spread Sheet Folder ,
to find it, it was not there. The Finder could not find it either.
So I start over again.
I opened up Numbers and it showed my personal Numbers template folder, it contained both my new
original 4 page template and the vanished saved document!
I tried to delete the template containing these document data and could not - I had to go to the Library/Application Support/Numbers to physically remove it from this folder. Then I started over again. I Finally found out how to make it work: I can now "save as", and then lock, and it will go to place where I want it to be saved and locked.
The secret is: Click on the document title in the menu bar, and it opens up "Save as...", which works the same as in OS 10.4.11, and you can pick the place you want for saving. Once done that, you can then lock the document in the same pull down menu, and then close it.
I also found later that I can delete a template from its folder, by letting Numbers open the templates,
clicking on the one I want to remove, then go to the "Numbers Menu/File/Move to...", select "Desktop"
and from there the selected template can then be thrown into the Trash from there.
It appears now that the real fault of the Numbers software is that the "Save as" command is not available in the "Edit" or "File" pull-down menus, but hidden behind the title of the document.
