Why shall we choose Z10 ?

1. Z10 is NOT cheap
2. Z10 is NOT solid with plastic
3. Z10 is NOT mature enough(new OS, few apps...)
4....
So, why shall we choose Z10 ? What's your special ? Message Hub?
As I think, Z10 has to do something that others can never do.
In my mind, smart phone is not a phone any more, it will be a tiny PC in the future. That means we just need is a display, a keyboard and a phone on the desk. We work on it ,and play with it. We can take the phone with our own data to anywhere in our pockets. And it becomes to an full-featured desktop PC, when connected to the display and keyboard.
Actually, in hardware, Z10 has HDMI for display already, and we can connect the keyboard with Bluetooth. So, what we need is software part. Such as desktop UI and some drivers.
If Z10 can be a PC, most people will pay for it undoubtedly.

Hi MD,
Views are motly advisable to use regarding the performance issue.
Joins reduce the performance because it takes lot of time to retrieve the data.
Its advisable not to use JOINS for more than 2 or 3 tables. 2 tables itself would reduce the performance.
Instead, use for all entries and you can sort the table and use the Read..table to read the entries.
If you are using FOR ALL ENTRIES and need to exclude some entries, then instead of using the Negative stmts like , >=, <= , select all entries and then you can delete the entries which do not match your criteria from the internal table.
Inner Join VS Outer Join:
TABEL1 inner join TABLE2:
only entries found in TABLE1 and TABLE2 are the result.
TABEL1 outher join TABLE2:
all entries found in TABLE1 and, if found the corresponding data from TABLE2 are the result.
For inner and outer join see the below thread:
difference..inner join and outer join
Views : Data about an application object is often distributed on several tables. By defining a view, you can define an application-dependent view that combines this data. The structure of such a view is defined by specifying the tables and fields used in the view. Fields that are not required can be hidden, thereby minimizing interfaces. A view can be used in ABAP programs for data selection.
For View see the below thread:

  • Why shall i buy an i mac instead of windows?!, why shall i buy an i mac instead of windows?!

why shall i buy an apple software instead of windows software?!

    Daniel,
You don't say what you use a computer for...that might help others here point you in the right direction.
I think some of the main advantages of a Mac over a PC are:
Application integration is much, much better on a Mac.  For example, iPhoto integrates very well into Apple Mail and all of the iOS devices like iPods, iPads, iPhones, etc.
Get a bunch of photos sent to you in your email?  Just click on QuickLook to view them all full screen...no need to double click each one to look at it.
Adding a printer to a Mac is usually just a matter of hooking it up, turning it on, then going to System Preferences and adding it. The driver is loaded automatically for you.
Spyware, trojans, viruses and other assorted "malware" normally don't affect a Mac at all. (In fact, I've used a Mac since 1984 and can't think of a single virus that infected Macs in that period of time). Because of this, most of us here don't run anti-virus software on our Macs. On a PC, though, running that software is almost essential, and can really slow the PC down.
Launching a program is easier from a Mac.  Just click on it in the Dock.
As Chessie mentioned, you can check out the Macs at your nearest Apple Store, and ask questions of the staff that actually know the answers (unlike the "big box" stores where the employees quite often don't know any more than you do).
You have the support of Apple behind the product. Have a problem with your Mac?  Let the Genius Bar at the Apple Store take care of it for you.  No need to send it in to the manufacturer.
There are other advantages, too....(for example...this forum, where you can ask for help on nearly any function of your Mac you can think of).
Others may chime in here, but above are the advantages that come to mind right away.

  • Why did Apple choose O2 as their carrier in the UK????

Why did Apple choose O2 to be the carrier in the UK when their 3G network is truly awful?
I get 1 bar of signal on 3G most of the time
Wouldn't it have been more useful for Apple to sign with 3 as they are the main 3G carrier in the UK?

I am using my Italian, unlocked, iPhone here in UK with Orange. Coverage is mostly OK and orange has got EDGE when 3G is not available.
I have heard funny stories about O2 coverage but that has nothing to do with the iPhone itselfit is just the network.
I found the T-Mobile site very useful where you can punch 3 postcodes where you mostly are and it will tell you what data and voice coverage you have.
O2 has a similar service but I am told by fellow iPhone users that is not reliable.
Not very useful to have unlimited data if you don't have coverage but you can pop into a cafe and they for sure will have Wifi that you can use.

  • Which JetDirect Printer Server shall I choose for my LaserJet M1319f?

    Hi,
I own a LaserJet M1319f MFP and would need to make it "network aware" as we have Mac, Win and iOs devices and all want to print :-)
For a start I would be OK with just printing capabilities, I don't need it to scan or fax with the computer(s).
The basic question is: Which Printer Server shall I choose? I don't want to run a PC as Server so I'd need "something", in earlier days I used a Jetdirect device but which one would be compatible with the M1319?
    Any hints welcome,
    Many thanks,
    Peter

While your Laserjet appears to be a consumer model, the Jetdirect print servers are commerical products.
You would be best to post this question in the commercial support forums.

  • Why did you choose creative over Ip

I chose creative over ipod because...
st I don't like the way their navagation weel looks.
2nd they are made by apple... I never did like apple because they have their own operating system.
3rd they have there own music format, (AAC aka i tunes) and i likes microsoft's wma format.
how about you all? why did you choose creative over ipod?
by the way, how many creative mp3 players do you own?
me, well i own a creative zen micro that's about 5 months old, and a creative zen touch that's about a week old.

I chose Creative Zen Micro 5g over iPod first of all because I received a 25% off discount on my original SB Audigy due to a class action lawsuit and they threw in a free pair of headphones that originally cost $39.99. So the whole package was $69.22. Pretty good deal I think. I love it so far.
Secondly I chose it because I don't like the fact that iPod has become a household word. My player does just as good a job as the iPod or iPod mini. So when people ask me what I have on my iPod I just tell them "nothing, since I don't own an iPod." Then I promptly explain to them that every digital music player is not an iPod.
Third because I am just not a fan of Mac or Apple and their propensity to lock people in to their hardware as well as not opening up Mac OS X to the X86 community in their new Intel deal. I am pretty sure the hacking community will take care of this one for us though.

  • Why normally we choose dot local extension for domain name

hi....i have one question about choosing the domain name mostly we choose .local extension for the domain why is so whats happen if we choose .com or any other top level domain extension.......2nd part of the question........
i have joined the domain its ok working my domain controller is my dns server as well now form the client computer when i open the google  it works my question is this ....how the query of google.com is resolved as i have a local dns server and in forward
zone its not mentioned what is ip address of google.....is it automatically referred to any other dns server or how its worksss.......??
    Thanks

    Hello,
Explanation of LutzMH about your first question was absloutly complete. It is a choice that administrators make to avoid collision between your local DNS server and global DNS servers.
About your second question I would like to recommend you to take a look at the Name Resolution process. But in a nutshell it is a hierarchy form. When you enter the website in your browsers it first check the local DNS servers and then move along to the
global DNS servers to find the appropriate record. It is worth mentioning that in Name Resolution process, DNS caches plays a key roles as well. For more information about Name Resolution process refer to the link below:

  • Why is the 'Choose icon...' button in the Options tab of the field property dialog box not enabled?

I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional XI running on Windows 8.
This “feature” has been bugging me for some time now. I remember it happening when I used Acrobat 9 Professional (Windows XP) and it is still happening in Acrobat XI Professional. I think I figured out a situation when I can reproduce this “feature” conistently and I hope someone fixes this.
Try the following and see what happens:
    1. Acrobat Professional is not open.
    2. Launch Word and start editing a document (or some other authoring tool that can generete PDF document).
    3. After editing the document, generate a PDF version of the document.
    4. Launch Acrobat Professional and edit the PDF document generated in 3.
    5. Add a button.
    6. View the button's properties.
    7. Change the Fill Color property in the Appearance tab to none.
    8. Change the Layout in the Options tab to Icon only.
Now here is what bugs be. Shouldn’t the 'Choose Icon ...' button be enabled? It is not enabled after step 8. It is possible that 'Choose Icon ...' button is enabled for some of you. I this case, it would be nice if at least one of you who experience the same bug say so in this thread so that Adobe doesn't think I am sending them on a wild goose chase.
I can enable it by selecting a different tab and then returning to the Options tab. A similar thing happens when reverting back from 'Icon only' to 'Label only' but I am not sure how to reconstruct a scenario for this one.
Here is the dialog box for one instance when I noticed the bug.
    Regards,
    John

You're right, it has been that way for a long time. I've never bothered reporting it as a bug since it's simple enough to deal with, but reporting it would be a reasonable thing to do.

  • ESOA :  Why should we choose ESOA

    Hi experts!!!
I recently entered into esoa practice. I have so many queries to put in.... Here are a few....
    1) how customer gets benifit out of this esoa...??? how it solves customer problems in present market.??
    2) In which form these services are served? (wsdl/ any common format acceptable by all kinds of applications or it is completely based on Netweaver platform?)
    3) If it is a wsdl, why should we go for PI 7.1 only...we can also generate wsdls from all previous versions ?
    4) According to my understanding from all the blogs & forums, all services will be developed and registered in ESR ( which resides locally in my company), then how these services are said to be global??
    5) what is the big difference PI 7.1 makes over the previous versions?
    6) How ES workplace is helpfull to my development?
    7) I have installed ESR & CE 7.1 into my system.. but i am unable to find proper support from SDN ?  Is it still have to come up? or Is no one using PI7.1 yet? or any other reasons??
    8) and most imortantly, I have not found any architectural details about ESR or PI 7.1 or CE 7.1. please ignore this question if i m wrong.
It would be great help to all...
    Regards,
    Pavani

    Hi Pavani,
Lot of questions. If you have gone through the ESOA Architecture/framework, you would have find answers to most of your questions.
    > 1) how customer gets benifit out of this esoa...??? how it solves customer problems in present market.??
SOA architecture is spreading with a good pace. Its always better to walk with market trends.
Customer can benfit from less implementation costs, fast implementations and finally the maintainace would be quite easier with ESOA
    > 2) In which form these services are served? (wsdl/ any common format acceptable by all kinds of applications or it is completely based on Netweaver platform?)
Yes it is WSDL. It is based on standards and acceptable to all SAP, Non-SAP applications.
    >
    > 3) If it is a wsdl, why should we go for PI 7.1 only...we can also generate wsdls from all previous versions ?
PI 7.1 contains ESR where you can define/design your new Enterprise services with some governace mechanism. Technically Enterprise Services are Web Services but it has strong governance mechanism. You can develop/define simple web services from previous PI versions.
    > 4) According to my understanding from all the blogs & forums, all services will be developed and registered in ESR ( which resides locally in my company), then how these services are said to be global??
Nope, they will be developed in ESR( Enterprise Services Repository) and would be registered in Service Registry not ESR.
    >
    > 5) what is the big difference PI 7.1 makes over the previous versions?
PI 7.1 is coming with lot of new features, but related to ESOA , main is the ESR.
    > 6) How ES workplace is helpfull to my development?
ES Workplace provide test servers where SAP has already hosted implemented services. You can consume that services using your applications. And documentation is provided along every Enterprise Service. SAP has hosted ES Woorkplace for evaluation purpose only
    > 7) I have installed ESR & CE 7.1 into my system.. but i am unable to find proper support from SDN ?  Is it still have to come up? or Is no one using PI7.1 yet? or any other reasons??
A lot of documentation is available and also forums are available for both CE and ESR. But it will take time to reach at atht level when compared to other Netweaver products
    > 8) and most imortantly, I have not found any architectural details about ESR or PI 7.1 or CE 7.1. please ignore this question if i m wrong.
Go through recent Teched Material, you will find a lot.
    Hope this helps.

  • Why is the "Choose File" button disabled when trying to add a photo to my account?

I have an iPad 1 and when I try to add a photo to my profile the "Choose File" button is disabled although I can choose a different Avatar. I suppose I could log in using my phone and try but that would defeat the purpose :-)

  • Missing fonts, why not to choose other relatives?

    Hallo.
I have a pdf file and I want to modify it with adobe 8 professional but when I m going to delete some text the said that all or part of selection has no available system font.
When I m choosing other fonts and clivk on embed Im taking a message that says The change to a different fontwas not done because the chosen font and the font encoding in this document differ and could not be resolved
    Any solution on that?

The post you refered to states that updated to 7.0.8 would solve the issue. But it
does not. Updated to 7.1 does not and even upgrading to 8.x still has not resolved the issue.
    Any ideas?

  • Why are two different Z10's on such different update schedules?

My wife and I both have Z10's. I've had 2 or 3 Software Release updates in the time that she's had none. The only difference between the two Z10's is that I bought mine from Blackberry store, while hers was bought through her service provider (Wind Mobile in Canada). I just received  my latest SR update today, 10.3.2.2226, while she's still on 10.3.1.1779. I checked her Software Updates, and told it look for a new update and it didn't find anything. Now, even though her phone was purchased through Wind, it's been unlocked, so it's pretty much identical to mine in terms of features.

Nope.  It's still a Wind branded phone.  Unlocking it does nothing for you otherwise, especially if you're sticking with the original carrier. The only thing that unlocking does for you is allow the phone to be used on another carrier.   Now, if you could get the SIM card of another carrier that is offering a newer OS, then you could get that OS.  But, it will never get BlackBerry's direct OTA update.  You will have to update it yourself through an autoloader or with Sachesi.

  • Why did Apple choose 1334x750 for the iPhone 6?

I'm not just an iOS user, I'm also a developer who's thinking about developing for iOS, and I'm wondering what the benefits/detriments of Apple choosing 1334x750 as the resolution for the iPhone 6. It's such a bizarre resolution; I've never seen it anywhere. It seems to make more sense to use 1280x720, which is normal HD.
Question from a user's perspective: Does this make application content fuzzy, scale wrong, misalign, or anything else like that?
Question from a developer's perspective: Is it difficult programming for this resolution, or does Apple naturally scale/interpolate graphics regardless of the app's output resolution(s)?

Anyone here who actually knows is either an Apple employee, or has signed an NDA. Anyone other than these types of people would be guessing.
Apple employees who visit the forum are not permitted to identify themselves as such, and are just users (except for Community Specialists, but they are a separate subject that doesn't affect this thread).
If I were to guess I'd say the pixel pitch is fixed for the Retina display material, and that's the number of pixels that fit at that pitch in a screen the size of the iPhone 6. Doing the math compared to an iPhone 5 series it makes logical sense. Did you notice that the 6 Plus is 1920 x 1080 and has a different pitch from all of the other Retina display iPhones?
To answer the other question you asked, I have never noticed fuzziness or aliasing on any iPhone display.
