Ive been using an Iphone 4 for the last 2 year's and that phone never missed a beat ! when my upgrade time came the cost of new Iphone's was too much for me so upgraded to a Nokia Lumia 1020. It's a nice phone with some great feature's but I really feel the need to switch back.
Please let me know youre opinions. Why should I switch back.
Please help as it's driving me crazy.

Who do you want to be in email for support, etc.? Do you want to be kwarp on the internet and on a resume? What image do you want to project? Individual or business or phantom or...? How good are you at juggling both references? Which would you want on a business card?
I wouldn't want to strictly maintain two IDs (nick versus real), especially for the long term.
Pick one and stick with it. Let the other be incidental.
I also believe these are detailed when doing the contracts, with at least partial explanations of how they will be used, so you can ponder your way during the application process.
Developer ID/Name (as registered by you) shows up as 'seller' as I recall - different from the name version attached to the copyright tag. You could use 'kwarp' as seller with 'greg lieberman' after the copyright and at least for this example, use both.

  • Nokia 1020 for aerial photography and problems

    Hello friends
    I need help.
I am planning to use Nokia 1020 for aerial photography purpose but thinking of possible problems which will come on my way.
    1. How can I get the live feed from my Nokia 1020 on to the screen on ground ?
We have setup for getting the av out from other cameras but before buying lumia I want to make sure that it also works the same way.
    Any clue ?

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your problems.
It' could be that your device suffers from some kind of hardware failure which just happened to occure after updating your phone. If it seems to be related to you moving the device, putting it down and then it reboots - it could be loose contacts. In that case you will have to get it replaced or repaired. If it's within warranty - you could either return it to the place you bought it from to make them handle the warranty case through Nokia - or visit a Nokia care point straight away.
What I would do if it does not seem clear it's a hardware failure, is to back up everything I need, and then reinstall the current firmware with Nokia software recovery tool.
Then I would try using it for some time without reinstalling 3rd party apps to see if it still occurs. If it just happens after installing some 3rd party app - it's likely triggering something or it's badly written and causing the issue.
If it however can't be blamed upon any 3rd party service. You will need to have it repaired.

You need iTunes 10.0 or greater to update your phone...iTunes isn't confused at all. If you're on a Mac, you'll need OS X 10.5.8 or greater to update iTunes to 10.0 or greater.

  • Why is there no Verizon Interactive Simulator for my iPhone 5s?

Why is there no Verizon Interactive Simulator for my iPhone 5s?  The Verizon page for obtaining a Verizon hotspot is available for all phones except Apple, why?

        Captfrog-
I understand the importance of interactive simulators because they are so useful when learning tips and tricks about the phones.  I apologize we don't have one listed on our page for the iPhone 5s, but here is a link so you can get more information online http://bit.ly/1bRR5ss .  Have a great rest of your day!

  • HT5012 Why should I click the accept button for a server certificate at every initial time although it is listed as a trusted root CA on iOS6?

I'm now using a root CA which was listed above.
But when I try to connect WLAN via EAP with RADIUS initially, I should click the accept button for the certificate of the RADIUS Server.
    Why should it work?

    Hi,
I'm still looking for the reason.
Isn't there any way which can avoid the verification for a public certificate of authentication server using EAP-TLS.
Why should I click the accept button in initial step for authenticating with RADIUS server using EAP-TLS although the root CA of the server certificate is listed in the default trusted CA on iOS?

  • Why should I switch from Final Cut X?

    Who am I:
Hobbits that has been playing with this stuff since the 80's
Has Premiere and After effects in late 90's early 00 before switching to a Mac
Make no money from my work. It is mostly home video's or fun stuff laughs at the office
I have CC for photography, switched before Apple killed Aperture. For $10/month it is not bad for LightRoom's power and PhotoShop is over kill for me, though I like the power
I have had Final Cut for years, and love the CHEAP price of Final Cut Pro X
Use Motion a fair amount, though no expert
Now to switch up from the Photo package of CC to have one with Premiere and After Effects is 3x the cost, or $240 MORE as year. FCPX is $50, plus Motion $50 add Compressor and you still are 6 month pay off (and I already own them).
I agree with many reviews that FCPX is like iMovie pro, but Why would I switch to Premiere Pro?

    kcossabo wrote:

    Because:
Transparency.  Adobe tells you what it can and can't do with various pieces of hardware (think: GPUs) on your machine.  In fact, they list it exactly.  Apple just says stuff like, "Oh, it'll be faster with your GPUs.  Trust us."  They never specifically enumerate the advantages GPU acceleration can provide.
Traditional NLE Format,  FCPX's interface isn't exactly what you'd call traditional as it pertains to an NLE.  Maybe you can dig it, maybe you can't.  Pr's is traditional and if you've used any other NLE, you can easily figure it out.
Superb Integration.  Adobe's cross-application integration is ridiculously simple and easy to use.  Want to edit a sound track from Pr in Audition?  Back-click on the track and tell Pr that; Audition gets launched and the track is loaded.  Need some help from AE?  No problem, you can easily move tracks back and forth between AE and Pr.  Apple's apps aren't integrated really, at all.  It's sad, too.
Better Native Editing Support.  If Adobe says that Pr can edit something natively, it can.  Without transcoding, without copying, without re-wrapping, without anything.  FCPX, on the other hand, attempts to do the same thing.  Some formats (think: AVCHD) that exist in parts will be wrapped into a single MOV container before you can edit them.  This can take a while if the segments are 4GB in size...
I'm sure there are a few more reasons I can think of.  FCPX isn't a bad NLE per se.  I just happen to like the way Pr (and the other Adobe apps) does things.

  • Should the opening of a case for the iphone 4s be big to allow more light in or it does not make a difference?

I got an otterbox case for the iphone 4. It is a universal case. The opening for the camera is small I was wondering if this would affect the quality of the pictures. Please advise.
    Thank you!!

    Try resetting the phone:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
Then, launch iTunes & connect your phone...what happens?

  • Why should I suffer as a customer for the manufacturing fault of Apple?

    - Manufacturing fault of Apple results in wake up /sleep button not working
    - Unable to switch off and restart the phone properly
    - Apple recalls the product but requires me to take the product to US while I am living in SA
    - For the mistake of Apple, one customer service indicates it is not reasonable to have expected the issue while later indicates I should have anticipated and hence should incurr a cost of USD 1200 (additional no phone for months) to have the same fixed.
    - For the mistake of Apple, on indicating I am willing to pay outside US to fix the issue, indicates that I have no solution but to have to send to US.
Customer service feedback :" I also have faced the same issue - sorry sir - you have no choice"

For whose fault - Apples Fault. Now as stated earlier the issue is not due to usage that requires warranty rather it is due to MANUFACTURING FAULT. Recall guideline are different from warranty guideline. The phone is outside warranty and now to refer to a manufacturing defect resulting in a recall and then linking to the warranty guideline is unfair to the customer.
Well my friend, we dont even have to go through all this then - simply state tough luck apple user - its our mistake but you know we told you after warranty guideline. Is it reasonable to assume a persons life wont change after more than a year (outside warranty period) ? Well what I signed up for warranty was within the warranty period I accept the requirement of fixing the phone in US. Had Apple found the issue the next day I could have fixed it while I was in US. Well the issue to occur after more than 1.5 yrs and been told you can not fix it anywhere outside US.
Think as a customer and the situation that required the service.

That's your problem, not Apple's.  It is your responsibility, as a consumer, to be aware of the terms & conditions of your warranty.  Why didn't you sell your iPhone or give it to a friend or family member if it was going to be a temporary relocation?
It's called 'personal responsibility'.  Learn it.
Show me where Apple stated that the iPhone you bought has an international warranty.  Please.  I'll wait.

That's your problem, not Apple's.  It's not Apple's fault that you reside in an area or region that is so restrictive.  Were you forced to go to that country from the U.S., or did you choose to do so?

It's not a recall.  It's an extension of the warranty service.  And it clearly states on the website about the program that: Apple may restrict or limit repair to the original country of purchase. [https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-sleepwakebutton/]

  • Mail or gmail? why should i switch?

so i'm a recent switcher. i'm happy happy happy with the things about macos that enable much greater productivity and pleasure when interacting with my little macbook.
so the reason to switch from PC to MAC is very clear. i can easily talk to others and explain why the switch makes sense.
one thing is that i've been a long time gmail user and before that yahoo web mail. i've seen the benefit (especially on the PC) of not having mail stored locally (size, virus etc.)
now i'm thinking about using .mac and macos mail app to handle my mail instead of gmail. ive tried it for a day or two and i haven't had any AHA moments that made the reason for a switch like that clear.
all this to say, how many of you use mail or a webmail client like gmail? what are the reasons why one would use .mac and mail versus gmail?
    any guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Sean,
Take it from someone that has lived and worked around the world most of my life I more than understand your questions on .Mac, mail, web based mail like Yahoo, Gmail, Gmx and the Apple 'mail application' with our Mac's. I know the advantages and disadvantages of them all, been there done that.
As far as becoming a part of .Mac and paying the annual fees? Remember with .Mac you're getting more than just an e-mail address. You get web publishing, some storage space, iPhoto space and more. Whether you decide to use .Mac depends on how much of your world is tied to Apple. If many of your friends use a Mac then it allows more access to them and sharing files, iChat and simply makes connecting your different worlds together. You can sync your mail, address books, iCal, iTunes .... and the list goes on. Again it depends on how much of your life is connect to Apple products.
The advantage to using the Mac's 'mail application' is that you can also use your Gmail account there too. Gmail allows you to connect with a POP connection where Yahoo does not. You can also use the new Gmail desktop. It operates like 'spotlight' that comes with your Mac. It also always Gmail voice and IM chats and more. Check this link:
    <http://www.macworld.com/2007/04/firstlooks/googledesktop/index.php>
If you're new to Mac's it all might take some time figuring out things, but your Mac also makes putting things together way easier than with a PC.
Take it from someone that is in London one day, Paris the next and then Sydney at the end of the week. When your world is connected in sync life is so much easier. Even if you don't have your Mac with you .Mac allows you to have access and control from anywhere and keep it all in sync. In the end it's all about your needs.

  • Why should we using abappromgram in SAPBW for writing routines

    Hi,
can any body help me ...
I want to write routines, but i dont know the abap programm,i am new for this concept,so,please give good suggestion and how to improve the abap concept..
    with regards..
    goodyear

    Hi,
abab is used for currency conversion (standard function modules), time conversions, format conversions (internal <-> external format) ... All this can be done by calling standard function modules. Additionally you can use simple if or case statements to populate fields depending on other values and you can also create very complex update rules where you handle lots of dependencies, select lots of data (out of infoobjects, cubes or ods-objects ...), create or delete entries in your data packages.... The usage of abap depends very much on the needs/requirements of your project.

  • Why is the iOS 5 not available for the iPhone 3G??

So disappointed that the iPhone 3G can't update to the new iOS 5!!!!!!!  Does anybody know why??? Is there any solution?
Now I can't syncronize my data like I used to do it with mobile me!!!
    SO DISAPPOINTED Apple!!!
You SHOULD make it available to all iPhone users, not just the new ones!

Yes, Mobile me is available until january, but since I downloaded Lion I thought the best option was to switch to iCloud, so my Mobile me isn't available anymore... I can still sync my data manually!
After that was when I tryed to update my iPhone and got the surprise that it's not compatible with the iOS5!
I guess it's time to get a new phone... haha
This is my first big disappointment with Apple... sad
    Thanks everbody !

  • Should I trade my Palm Treo for an iPhone (what features will I lose)?

I have a Palm Treo and am thinking of switching to an iPhone but am worried about certain features that I will lose by making this move.
Can anyone let me know if these features that I will lose are correct, if they are a big deal and if there are any other featueres I am missing:
    -No cut and paste ability
-No notes/memos and tasks synching with Outlook (is this correct)?
-Much harder to use keyboard on the iPhone
-Problems with synching with Outlook compared to the more reliable Treo (is this true)?
-No video camera on the iPhone (is this true)?
    Thanks for any information.

Despite the features the iPhone lacks, as you have listed, it is well worth the upgrade because of the features it excels in. It blows the Treo out of the water! I have owned a couple of Treo's and the capability of the unit is limited. The internet and the ability to search and obtain information is limitless on the iPhone. For one the video quality that you would get from the Treo is garbage and you can't do anything with it but view it on the worthless unit. Cut and paste is a useful option but there is ways to work around the ability. There are many app's that are not only fun but very useful. From networking to file transferring and of course gaming to pass time. I am obviously bias to the question at hand and the only true answer you will find is to search the discussions, support, iTunes and almost all of the other resources and support that Treo does not offer.
