Why Siri cannot call out (Fixed Line or Mobile No.) in Malaysia?

Just bought a iPhone 4S 64GB with local mobile service provider (Digi) with 24 months contract (on 28 Dec 2011), but same problem happen in Malaysia, which Siri cannot call out to Fixed Line or Mobile No. (Siri will reply that: Sorry, I can't call Home's home number.)
Really hope that Apple can provide a solution to solve it ASAP.

According to this forum: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2175165/all, it seems that Siri is expecting a 7-8 digit phone numbers excluding the country code and area code, so adding an extra "0" digit or two at the back of the phone number may be able to fix your problem. The phone number should still connect correctly. Try that, it works for me in Indonesia where some phone numbers are still 6 digits.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

Transfer call from fixed line to BB Z10

Hello
When you transfer calls from fixed line to BB Z10 the device only gives a split second notification of transfer call and then you do not see it any more.
So it is difficult to see the difference between direct calls and my transfered call from my fixed line.
Is it possible to keep the notification of transfered call "on screen" when it is dialing?

The Z10 gives a split second a notification that the incomming phonecall is a transferred call and then shows the phone number of the original caller. Afterwords there is no way to see the differance between the straight calls and the transferred.
With my old Nokia N8 there was an onscreen "green arrow" notification.
After searching a little on the web I found out that only the old symbian phones (and some other) had that function.

Its a pitty it doesn't work on a BB Z10. I guess it will not be changed as the post above is from 2008 and now we are 2014.

Siri cannot call in Sri Lanka

I have iPhone4S and I am trying to use Siri in Sri Lanka. Siri seems to be responding but I am unable to get it to call a telephone number. I have most numbers in international format with +94<area code><number> and it tries dialling and says that Siri Cannot call that number. Is this a bug in the current firmware or something to do with the country?

Skype drops calls to land lines and mobiles

I have enough credit but cannot call landlines or mobiles -
it does not dial but simply stops with "Call Failed" before getting through
Even if I cann my own mobile or landline - so I know they ARE valid numbers
The problem seems to have been introduced with the new version 7.4.0.102
Any ideas please?

Your account logs show that there are connection issues and this is why calls are dropped. Please make sure you have the latest Skype and if possible try to make a call with different connection. For example if you are using public WiFi or 3G connection then try to use cable connection.

Cannot Call Out to Specific Phone Number

I am not able to call out to a specific phone number from the iPhone.
I am able to call this specific phone number from different sources. ie. Another cell phone, lan line, work, etc...
Any clues on why just a specific phone number cannot be made to?
When I try to call, I always get 2 beep sounds only and says the Call Ended.
I get no Dial tone when I call also.
ps.
It could be that somehow they blocked my cell phone number.
But, I do not believe so.

Cannot call out

I upgraded my 4 to a 4S and moved my number over. Gave my son the 4S and the Verizon store gave him a new number on that phone. His phone will receive calls, but not call out. We resent whole phone and it started calling out for 1 day and then stopped again?

Thanks for the info. There are no reports of any troubles in the zip code that you provided. It appears to be specific to your device rather than network. Have you added anything new to the phone recently? The next step I would recommend taking would be to reset your network settings;

Calls cannot be made, error call failed turn 3g off and have E then i can call out what is going on?

This is a well-known bug introduced in 4.3.3. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3062927 and others for a discussion. Apple has released two software updates since, but so far has remained silent on this particular bug.
If you still have a support contract, harrass them. A lot of us have older phones, so they want us to *pay* to hassle them about their bugs.

Iphone 5s cannot call out any calls, but still can receive incoming calls and sms

anyone experiencing this problem? After buying iphone 5s less than 2 months which I never did in the past, I could no longer make any phone calls out, yet i still can receive incoming calls and data.

Contact your carrier. Phone functions are a carrier responsibility. Have them check your account. Are you seeing any error messages?

Cannot call out without headphones or speaker

My son's phone is a Blackberry Tour (I believe). He is away at school and told me he can't make calls unless his headphones are plugged into it or he uses the speakerphone. Anyone know why?

Thank-you LatachaM_VZW for your suggestion, which is a good one. For many of those type of problems with a Blackberry device, trying a simple battery pull will solve the problem. RIM even recommends pulling the battery out for a moment and then putting it back to allow your device to reboot at least once every couple of days. Blackberry devices are notorious for using the free memory in its daily uses and rebooting helps to reclaim some of that memory. If this does not solve your son's problem, please let us know here in the forums and someone will be glad to try and help.

Cannot call out or receive calls without getting a busy signal.

I can't even connect to my own voicemail without this problem happening. I can send and receive text messages just fine, as well as use mobile data. I've removed and replaced the Sim card as well as trying to change the network mode from Global to LTE/CDMA, getting the same results after each attempt to fix it. If it matters, I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Help has arrived! Thanks for taking a few of our basic troubleshooting steps to help resolve this concern. What zip code are you located in when experiencing these issues? Have you attempted to disabled call forwarding by dialing *73 (send) from your mobile phone?

Why I cannot log out from Gmail? I do not see the button (usually on the top right side) I use with IE.

I can log in my Gmail account, but when I want to log out, the usual "button" on the top right end of the window does not provide the menu with the log out choice.
Is there something wrong with the Firefox setting or is there any other way to log out?

Please permit this clarification: it is not your Skype Number you are calling out from; it is either a Skype subscription you purchased or you bought Skype credit to pay costs associated with outbound calls to fixed line or mobile numbers.
If people can not call you, when you contact Skype Customer Service to request your number be checked, be prepared to provide the text of any error messages your callers may be hearing. We here in the Community do not have the tools to test Skype Numbers, so you will need to contact Skype Customer Service to do this.
