Why the 5 minutes break?

Hi all, I don’t know if this is a known matter and if there’s a solution.
Normal procedure for locking keypad and unlocking:
I set "Security keyguard" and "Automatic keyguard" On to lock the phone,
I go to homescreen and wait 1 minute for it to be locked,
I press Unlock key (here it’s menu key) and * key (star key) then enter correct Security code 12345.
Phone is Unlocked.
Nothing’s easy then this. But what if I type wrong codes for a few times just as a test:
I set "Security keyguard" and "Automatic keyguard" On to lock the phone,
I go to homescreen and wait 1 minute for it to lock,
I press unlock key and * key and enter random wrong codes for a few times (NOT 12345),
phone is still Locked due to wrong Security codes with message “Code error”. Good!
Now I press Unlock key and *key and this time I enter correct Security code 12345 then ok.
But Phone is still Locked with message “Code error”!!!! I retry entering correct Security code 12345 again with no luck.
what do I do? I waited 5 minutes and retried entering Security code 12345 again and OMG this time it’s Unlocked. Good.
to make sure of this, I repeated steps 1 to 7 and same matter.
Why does the phone lock itself completely on me for 5 minutes that's after a few Erroneous security code test attempts (maybe 3 or 5) even if after this I directly enter correct Code 12345 but it's still locked??
Is there any extra Security code in this case? how to let the phone accept the correct code before 5 minutes?

No. My phone is series 40 and called Nokia 6303 classic (that's copy paste) not even series 60 - i like its clear screen. But anyway, i'm afraid what you mentioned in your reply isn't the case which i described above in detail.
do all phones do this or only Nokia 6303 classic? any idea jimmyireland?

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Why do the images break up?

Hi All.
Since I have switched from my Mac Mini over to the new Intel Mac Mini 1.66GHz/1GB RAM/100GB HDD, my display shows very frequent strange image and text break-ups. I tried to take a screen picture, but that corrected it. I have been able to take a picture with my digital camera, but I can't post it hers.
Following the advice given by a friend who works with computers, I've reset the PMU, the PRAM. I've tried to change the resolution and now I'm at my wit's end. The image breaks up and all looks like piles of bricks. Highlighting it cleans it up.
I have owned many Macs over the years, currently still have my "old" Mini as well as two Powerbooks (all have driven the monitor flawlessly).
Help, please.

I am not sure about your trouble, but I have experienced some similar issues with my display on my PB. It often happen while scrolling up and down pages after a couple of hours of browsing. What happen to me is few lines of text or images getting jammed up, reproducing themselves, making them unreadable.
Effectively once a new window is over the "bricks effects" it refresh and disapear. I have been battling between repairs, and the tech can't see it because they are not using the comp, but just checking it by time to time.
I have added a shortcut of grab in my tool bar, every time my issue appears I drop everything and open grab and take a picture of the screen, as proof for the techs. The good thing about it is that you have the time and date captured with it.

Why can't I set calendar events with start and end times down to the minute?

Hi everyone
Unless I've missed it, it's not possible to set events that have times that start and end to the minute rather than 5 minute slots. I work shifts that start at individual minutes.
Is there actually a way of doing this, other than on my Mac? Siri is a far too long-winded way of doing it.

Why the row and column reverses?

I have an image 736 pixels (row) and 554 pixels (column). In the IMAQ ColorImageToArray.VI, the VI has a 2D array with Y axis as the first dimension (Dim) of the array and X-axis as the second Dim. Why do we break away from the tradition of the first dimension of a 2D-array is the row and the second dimension is column? When I go to use the Index Array function, the index 0 is row and index 1 is column, as the little hint or tip trying to give me clue.
I am confused.

Don't know the answer but I can give an idea that just might make make sense.
It has to do with keeping the various indexes of multi-dimensional arrays straigt in my head.
Think of a 7-d array as a library. To find a letter on a page of a book you would first go the correct Floor.
Then the correct isle of shelves.
Then the correct shelf.
Then the book.
Then the page.
Then the line (i.e. row).
then the character on the line (column).
Using this model higher "d" arrays are just collections of the lower arrays.
The smallest "d" array is comprised of only columns.
This model is a lot easier for me to handle, than trying to visualize a 3-d array inside 4-space.

Why the execution time increases with a while loop, but not with "Run continuously" ?

Hi all,
I have a serious time problem that I don't know how to solve because I don't know exactly where it comes from.
I command two RF switches via a DAQ card (NI USB-6008). Only one position at the same time can be selected on each switch. Basically, the VI created for this functionnality (by a co-worker) resets all the DAQ outputs, and then activates the desired ones. It has three inputs, two simp0le string controls, and an array of cluster, which contains the list of all the outputs and some informations to know what is connected (specific to my application).
I use this VI in a complex application, and I get some problems with the execution time, which increased each time I callled the VI, so I made a test VI (TimeTesting.vi) to figure out where the problem came from. In this special VI I record the execution time in a csv file to analyse then with excel.
After several tests, I found that if I run this test VI with the while loop, the execution time increases at each cycle, but if I remove the while loop and use the "Run continuously" funtionnality, the execution time remains the same. In my top level application I have while loops and events, and so the execution time increases too.
Could someone explain me why the execution time increases, and how can I avoid that? I attached my test VI and the necessary subVIs, as well as a picture of a graph which shows the execution time with a while loop and with the "run continuously".

If you are still using the RUn Continuously you should stop. That is meant strictly for debugging. In fact, I can't even tell you the last time I ever used it. If you want your code to repeat you should use loops and control the behavior of the code.

Difference in the minutes on the subscription

Hello,
I bought a 400 minutes subscription. According to my call history I only used 136.12 minutes. But in my account it's written that I have only 192 minutes left, when I suppose to have 263.88 minutes.
Does anybody know why this difference between the minutes?

Call plan minutes are not carried over into the next month. You would need to check your purchase history and see when that plan was purchased from your account page: http://www.skype.com/go/myaccount for example, if this was a limited minute purchase vs. a renewable subscription plan.

It may not be convenient long term but if you can test with ethernet and see if the problem goes away, then you'll have identified wifi as the issue.
If problem persists on ethernet it's something else.

Why do forms break up when doing a ctrl zoom?

When I do a ctrl-zoom (holding down ctrl then using the mouse to zoom in) then as the screen gets smaller, why do certain forms and images break apart? For example on www.theatrebuddies.us why do the pictures break up onto separate lines? This doesn't happen in Internet Explorer but makes me worry there is a problem with the HTML/CSS?

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

Stored Procedure issue - why is it breaking?

I have a VB5 application that calls a package in a 9i database. Frequently the package becomes broken. The application then tries again and it ALWAYS works fine the second time.
I would like to figure out how this package is getting broken, but since I cannot replicate issue at will, it is a devil to track down.
Is there any sort of trigger I can apply to figure out why the procedure is breaking?

Can someone else try to compile this and see why the program is returning "false" when I try to delete the files on exit (at bottom of code)... I have the source code uploaded to the web as well as my 2 text test files inside a zip file(they need to be unzipped so you can try to test the program) and .class file... the program works the way i want it to, but i just can't seem to delete the 3 temporary files i use... why??? why does it return false???

in this v_TotalHrsMin1 is number datatype and v_Temphrs is varchar2 which is storing this value: 12:00:00
and v_Outtime1 is varchar2 which is storing 06:00:00
now i want the minute difference between both times
and insert into v_Totalmin1.
but getting null value in v_totalmin1.

When doing it in PL/SQL, you do not need a query at all. Why would you do a select from dual in the PL/SQL assignment.
