hi its the third time that happens to me
i made a purchace and that happens with out the card approvement
that means that all downloads are block for me until the purchace arrange
plz dont let the purchaces complete check first the bank confirmation !!

I am having the same issue but mine is with Netflix. And there are only 4 categories now on the main menue when there used to be 5. Something went crazy with ATV software.

I supsect you did the update on other than your syncing computer. If yu did the app, music and synced photo will not be on the iPod after the update since those items are not in the backup that iTunes makes. See:
iOS 5: Updating your device to iOS 5
The above applies to all updates performedvia USB on a computer. To get stuff back, restore from backup on the syncing computer.
The above in my educated guess since you provided litle information about how you did the update.

You must have a separate Apple ID registered in the other store along with a valid bank-issued charge card in the other country, and a legal billing address in the other country.
Sorry... But... You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country..

what does my debit card have to do with my having a redeemed ITunes card
If the total purchase price of the media including any applicable taxes or fees exceeds the balance of the redeemed card, then the difference is charged to your debit or credit card account.

You can purchase MP3s from any online music retailer, and add them to your iTunes library.
