Why the new firefox version 31.0 is getting stuck when something is downloaded. After force restart also same issue (still the download status is showing the same and again getting stuck) for 4-5 times and then it asks for to clear all the data. After that it is working fine. Again If I download something facing the same issue. Its really irritating. I am using windows7.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

How can I extend the time I am timed out on the new Firefox version?

The new version of Firefox which I recently installed times me out after a very short period of time. I can I extend the time that Firefox times me out to at least one hour of inactivity.

If you have an Exchange account on your iPad for which the admistrator has specified a limit on how long you can set the auto-lock, the only way to change it is to remove the Exchange account. Once you put the Exchange account back on, the restriction will be back in place. Apple has nothing to do with this.
Exchange admistrator often require that devices be passcode protected and that the device will autolock so they delete the "Never" setting.

Firefox Nightly 29.0a1 has that new User Interface. But Australis won't be in a release version until Firefox 30 or 31, well into 2014.

The new Firefox version disabled one of my toolbars and I want the older version of firefox that allows me to use that toolbar. How do I get it back?

Where is the "tools" option in the new firefox version. I can't find it and need to clear my cache

I uninstalled the old version Firefox then I tried to install the new one. But it asks me to restart my computer to completely uninstall the old version. I had tried to restart my computer for few times but i still cant install the new firefox version.

I cant install the new version. Everytime i tried to process the program it asks me restart my laptop.

Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator). 
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

@glennhaste, the public pages I visited seem identical in IE8 and Fx10, but you may be referring to a part of the site that requires logging in (impossible for non-customers to view).
Since the problem is so recent, can you recall any changes you made in Firefox, or are you aware of any changes your CU made on its site?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Firefox > Preferences > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, "right-click" and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies" (''Sorry, I don't know how you right-click on a Mac'')
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Why DOESN'T Firefox VERSION 6.0.2 warn me when "You are about to close multiple tabs. Do you want to continue"? aka "Confirm Close".

Hello. I have a Windows 7 HP Mini Netbook 32-bit. I just installed Firefox version 6.0.2 (the most updated one). Under
Tools ---> Options ---> Tabs, "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is checked. However, when I have multiple tabs open and I click on "X" (accidentally one time), it closed Firefox. No warning at all. I tested it again and again (checking the box, unchecking it, then checking it again), and it keeps closing all my tabs without warning.
FYI...I also have a work laptop (Windows XP) and for some reason the "Confirm close" shows up when I try to close multiple tabs.

I had Xcode 5, then tried to update as part of regular sw updates. It didn't update properly, I deleted, in order to just download the 6.1 version and all I get is "Xcode failed to download. Use Purchase pages to try again." How can I download Xcode?

Downloading Xcode 6.1 to iMac 10.9.5.
I've done the steps on the Terminal involving: defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
Restarted computer.
Ejected other volumes on the iMac (external HD).
When trying to download from Purchases page, it ends about 90% complete with the message "An error has occurred."

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

I installed the new Firefox version but it does not open on screen..

It does not automatically open on completion of the install and it does not open when I click on the logo on my desktop or Quick Start bar. It looks like it is starting but nothing happens.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same result.
When I try to uninstall I have to shut down first or the uninstall tells me firefox is running. Starter manager does not show this.

Why not? What happens when trying to use it?
