Why the same updates

Every night when shutting down, I get a triangle with an exclamation point in it to download updates first.  Every night, day, etc., the updates are the same!  update for windows 2010(KB2825635 32-bit and update for windows security essentials
KB2310135 definition 1.195.24920
Why do I have these SAME updates every night when shutting down?  thank you

Hi Phil,
Are you on a Windows or Mac system?
You might try these:
Install the updates from a new admin account
Mac
10.7 - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4600
10.8 - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11468
Win
Windows 7  - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows7/Create-a-user-account
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/create-a-new-user-account-in-wi ndows-7.aspx
Quit and re-launch the Creative Cloud desktop app using right-click Run as Administrator on Windows and then reinstall the updates
Log out of the Creative Cloud for desktop app, using Preferences > Account, restart the computer, log back into the Creative Cloud desktop and install the updates
Let me know if that works,

  • Hey. I have recently made an update on my daughters iMac, particularly update OS X 10.9.4, when finished, its still asking for update and the same update stills remarked in the apple update menu and at the App store app. Why doesn't stop asking f.ud?

Hey. I have recently made an update on my daughters iMac, particularly the update OS X 10.9.4, when finished, its still asking for update and the same update stills remarked as ready in the apple update menu and remarked as 1 to go at the App store app. Why doesn't stop asking for update when its done like 5 times or more? Thanks for taking your time!

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

  • Why do I get daily notices to install the same update?

Why do I keep getting daily notices to install the same update?

Possibly because you have set firefox to ask you what to do when an update is available. Your sytem information suggests you are using firefox4.0 and the current main release is now firefox 4.0.1
Go to about firefox and use the manual update option, it should then update. If you continue to have problems
    # please confirm which version you do have installed
    # copy any error messages you see, explaining when these occur, and what seems to generate them

Why do I get 5 times the same update of Pro Video-Formate 2.0.1..0 ?
I already suspected a virus on my macbook air.
Is this a bug in the app-store??

    I'm having the same problems.
Here's what stopped the App Store Reload:
Delete all content (except "Core Audio" folder) in the "Library/Quicktime/" folder (copied to a temp folder elsewhere.)
    Restart
Install Pro Video Formats 2.0.1 from direct download: "ProVideoFormats.dmg"
    Restart
App Store shows everything for updates OK. Pro Video Formats cleared.
Next to determine from the QuickTime Library folder what formats can be reinserted.

  • Why does CC Apps repeat the same updates everyday?

Everyday I click on the CC icon on my toolbar, it says 6 app updates (premiere, audition, speedgrade...), and everyday I update them, and then the next day it has the same update again (something about "dynamiclink 7.0.1" or something like that).

  • Compressor 1.2.1 I update but always appears the same updating

Every time I open Software Updating it appears the same thing: Compressor 1.2.1
    See this, please.
    http://homepage.mac.com/guillermo_alvarez/Sites/varios/Imagen%201.jpg
Can anybody tell me what is this and why though I update, always appears the same updating?
    Regards.

    Add me to the list.
(I realize that my comment isn't exactly productive, but I'm getting fed up with having all these problems that never seem to get Apple's attention.)

  • Reader 9.4 keeps suggesting the same update

I have installed Reader 9.4.  The "Update Available" icon keeps appearing in my system tray and keeps installing the same security update. I assume it's the same update because this has happened numerous times today.  Also when I initiate a search for updates from the Help menu in Reader it always shows an update available.  What can I do to eliminate the duplicate notifications?
    Thanks

  • Updates asks me to restart, but when it restarts, the same update is still there

When I go to my app store, it says an update is required for OS10.8.4, I clicked update and said a restart was required. I restarted it and the same update is still shown in my app store update. whenever I click on update, it immediately says to restart the computer, which I do and we go through the same thing again. I can't think what else I need to do.
I am new to Mac, and tbh when it comes to computers I am generally stupid. Please help a computer dummie. Thanks

Try downloading the update manually. With system issues present i'd recommend the combo update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
While that update is downloading open Disk Utility which can be found in Application > Utilities folder. Select your hard drive partition and click 'repair permissions'.
As any OS update can be pretty invasive under the hood and the outcome can be unexpected on a system that is having issues (big or small), a backup is recommended before applying an update

  • Adobe Updater keeps doing the same update (CS4 Air 1.5)

Every time I run Adobe Updater it finds the same 100 Mb update - Flash 10.0.0.1 Adobe AIR 1.5 Update. Then, it downloads it and installs it. It notifies me that the installing process was completed. But when I run the Adobe Updater again, there is the same update. And it just goes on and on. I've even tried logging in as root and running the updater in case it needs to modify something outside normal bounds but it didn't help.
Does anyone have suggestions as to where the problem might be? I know some of you really prefer to install everything manually but I'm still considering that the last resort - if I can get the automatic updater to work, I'm a happy camper again!
Macbook Late 2007 2.2GHz Dual core duo santa rosa 4 Gb RAM 160 Gb HD with 26 free, OS X 10.5.6 with CS4 Design Premium INT ENG

The update will not affect the splash screen or About Page
    version number.
For a quick check you can try creating an AIR package or an
AIR preview. If everything works smooth then the installation would
    have been a success.
The other details related to installation on a Mac should be
seen on all other Adobe app and not restricted to Fireworks alone.
    Thanks

  • I am trying to download and install Firefox 4. 0. 1. The download works, but what I am supposed to do to install it? If I shut down and re-boot I am prompted each time to download the same update. Thanks - PM

Firefox prompts me that I need to download and install an update. This I do, and it downloads, but I don't know how to install it. This might be happening automatically, but when I shut down and re-start, I get the same message about installing the same update. Unless I can resolve this, I will have to return to Internet Explorer... What can I do?

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop and close Firefox.
    *Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Adobe Apps Constantly Ask for the Same Updates

Hello,  This is a frustrating problem that's been driving me nuts for weeks...  I install the updates for all my creative cloud apps. Then, next time I log in, SURPRISE, the same apps need to be updated again with the same updates. It's a crazy annoying loop that is starting to kill my productivity.  Here's my system info:  MacPro Late 2013, 3.5 GHZ 6 Core with 32 GB of Ram with dual AMD FirePro D500s. I'm running OSX 10.9.2  I've searched the forums and tried the method on this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/6005305#6005305#6005305  That DOES NOT work. I tried it repeatedly under different logins. Nada. Same apps need to be updated.  C'mon, Adobe. Fix this! Give me some help (I tried phone support, but that was useless and outsourced).

    Seriously, Adobe?  You got nothing....
I'm not the only one this is happening to. This is a HUGE problem with creative cloud that you're flat out ignoring. At least let me know you've got something in the works.

  • Installed the same update

    Hi,
I didn't notice that I installed Security Update 2010-001 so like the title said, I installed it twice.
I thought the installation just replaced the entire update but then when I checked the installed software list, it was just installed twice! and the funny thing is that installing it twice takes more space of my HDD.
Any idea of getting rid of those unwanted updates?
Thanks in advance for answering my question.

don't do anything. there is no harm in installing the same update as many times as you want. I don't know exactly what happened. but whatever you do DO NOT try to uninstall or remove any updates. and how do you know that the update took extra space?

  • My creative Cloud keeps trying to install the same update

    Dear Forum,
My creative Cloud keeps trying to install the same update and never completes. I have rebooted my windows 8.1 and same occurs. All other updates are fine so just creative cloud.  am I able to manually uninstall just the creative cloud on its own without effecting my acrobat pro and FormsCentral etc? If so where can I download the latest creative cloud?
    regards

  • 2012 R2 CAU keeps installing the same update.

I am trying to CAU a 12 node cluster with WIN2012R2.
CAU keeps installing the same update on same node for several KB2461484.
I tried several times to update the same node through CAU and windows Update along with rebooting the node but nothing changes.
When I run CAU it always picks same node and tries to install the same update.
    Any ideas?

    Hi trialex,
If you are using WSUS please confirm you have approve this update to your cluster nodes, if you are using WUA please try to install the update manually then monitor the issue
    again.

  • CC desktop announces the same updates daily. What's wrong?

After updating a bunch of my CC applications just yesterday I recieve an update notification for them again today. The applications are: After Effects CC, Flash Professional CC, InDesign CC, Prelude CC, Premiere Pro CC and SpeedGrade CC. I can't imagine that there are updates for the same applications just every day so something must be wrong. E. g. a communication problem?

    Hello Ankit,
I tried as you suggested and they keep coming back up. See attached screenshot.
