Why the screen of iMac turn purple when turn on ?

It happen recently, when I turn my iMac on from shutdown, the boot on screen just turn purple on the apple logo page, it won't happen when i just reboot the iMac. Anyone know about this issue?I dont want to carry this big thing walk into genius bar!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I don't know why the screen is at full brightness when it starts up?

I have noticed this issue after the installation of Mountain Lion to my concerns, and is a bit confusing to see that. It seems like I'm the only one that has that issue. My brightness is set at the lowest level, but the display at startup (when the Apple Logo is there) is at maximum brightness. But halfway through startup, before the user screen comes up (grey background); the displays returns to its set brightness. I'm seeking for a quick answer to determine if this is an issue. I'm running on Mountain Lion (10.8.1), and I never expected this. I did have at least 5 third-party applications downloaded from the Mac App Store, and I suppose that's the reason. I have a 13" MacBook Pro, with a native resolution of 1280x800.

Try resetting your phone, hold the home and sleep/wake button down until the apple symbol comes up, then release. If that doesnt work, you may have damaged your phone and need to take it to an apple genius bar.

Check the right and left sides of your iPad for a small hole the size of a paper clip (remove your smart cover if you have one). If you see this, then you have the wifi + cellular model. If you do, use a paper clip to remove the sim tray (or the sim removal tool that came with your iPad if you have it) as shown in the image below.
If the tray has a sim card in it, push the sim tray back in to re-seat it in the side of the iPad, then turn it on to see if the error message re-appears. If it re-appears, take it to a Verizon store and have them give you a new sim card.
If you have a sim tray but it is empty, you'll need to go to a Verizon store to get a sim card for it.

I want the screen to look as it was turned off

During some seconds, I'd like to have a black similar to the one when the TV screen is turned off. I tryed with a generated black, but there's still too much light in the screen and it doesn't look like the TV is turned off. Any clues on which parameters should I change to get this effect?

I don't think you can convince someone their t.v. is off, when it is not. I'm not sure about LCDs or Plasmas, just the old picture-tube t.v.s. Sure, you may be able to project an "off" black, but there's the sound of the electricity running through the t.v., as well as the glow- you can just sense it is on. Also, when a t.v. is off (and I'm not near one now, but going by memory) it is not black. Usually they're more of a grey/black, sometimes with some brown or green mixed in. In other words, the other guys here can probably help you with a good black, but as far as the overall effect, that's very tough to pull off. The fuzz/snow was a good suggestion, or maybe use an effect of the picture turning off (ie, flashing down to a single point on the screen that fades away- like when one turns off some t.v.s) and then use the color the other people here suggest.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

FIRST charge with an Apple charger for at least 15 minutes. Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Hold for up to 30 seconds. If nothing happens the phone hardware has failed.

The exclamation point occurs when iPhoto breaks/loses the file path to the original file. So try the following: make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot AND
the option to rebuild the small thumbnails.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Try to reset it by holding the power an home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. If it won't reset, you'll probably have to force it into recovery mode and restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.
