Why the system is very slow than before

I have two computers, One is desktop, another is laptop,but I met the problems about the performance for the two
computers, from last Monday, two computers speed are very slow, after I checked the task manager, I found the service(ntoskrnl.exe) used the 60-70% CPU resource, but why the ntoskrnl.exe cause this? I also download the tools and analysised it, but it seems
that no useful information,how to find the root cause?
summary all the information as below
1.Suddenly this problems happened
2. I closed the AVP (Kaspersky antivirus software), but it seems no improved for the performance
3. I have closed the Windows search service, but no change for this
4\I use the maxthon and Firefox browse

What I've done is that I reinstalled 10.8.1 and each time, I ran disk utilitiy. It has helped but fter a while, especially when waking up from sleep, EVERY app can take a lot of time to come up, including those already activated. Every click would take at least 5secs to respond... and then the spinning ball comes up.
It's only after the same app was used, then it would be smooth. For example, I run my cursor down to the bottom of the screen where my dock is hidden. It would take a few times of running down before the dock shows up. From that point on, it would would work nicely unless I click on any of those apps in the dock. Then, it would take another 5secs or more before something shows on the screen such as clicking on Mail. It takes more than 5secs before mail pops up. Then, when I click on any mailbox, it would take another 5secs or the spinning ball comes up. From that point on, clicking on Mail is smooth and cicking on the same mailbox is smooth unless I click on a different mailbox or go to preferences, for example.
So, I keep running disk utility almost everyday and now, it works 99% of the time. If it slows again, I run the disk utility. I guess that's the way to go until they come up with a proper fix.
All this housekeeping work reminds me of Windows and the endless defragging and optimising. That was one of the few reasons why I switched to Apple and now...

You can always shut it down manually via the Task Manager
(CtrlShiftEsc)...

Hi, the last install dvd that came out for mac's was Snow Leopard,10.6.3. Lion is a download from apple. You cannot just install it over Yosemite. You would have to backup your drive to save files you want and do a clean install. You might want to look into getting more memory. Though this subject has been already discussed at many places,im unable to get the clue.Here is my problem.In my office (LAN),server and client are running at different PC.After DNS entry of server PC is removed from DNS server,the page loading and every request & response between client and server is very slow.It takes 2 minutes for each and every request.And coming to the possible solutions,is "configuring the server PC in DNS server" is the only solution?When both the server and client PCs are DNS configured i dont see any issue or slowdown.Any help would be really appreciated

When you do getHostName() on an InetAddress, what you're doing is asking the OS to do a reverse lookup. So basically this is a windoze problem, not a java problem (although that probably doesn't help you much) Try searching google to see why a windows reverse lookup might be so slow and go from there.

Because it does a DNS lookup. And without a server, the interface must wait for a timeout.

The system become very slow when I installed FCP X

Could anybody help to solve this problem?
MY OS X is 10.6.8, and When I installed the FCP X, it runed very slow. Each step would cost 10 sec. or even more to go over.
I use the lastest MAC Pro (QUARD 2.8GHz, 8GB, 2TB, ATI5800), so do not worry about the perfermance.
Moreover, how can I archive the project files and the events?

I am not sure about your speed issues, but you can find your project and event files in User/Movies/Final Cut Events and User/Movies/Final Cut Projects from there you can duplicate folders and files to backup your events and projects. Hope this helps.

Last week I updated our Windows XP system with Firefox latest download and now everything is really slow ? It takes much longer than it used to find web pages. I also had the same problem on my home computer, Vista ?

After upgrading to OS X Mavericks syslogd needs lot of memory and cpu, system is very slow

After upgrading to OS X Mavericks the system is very slow. securityd and syslogd are using 50% of cpu and memory is also used by syslogd and kerneltask (8 GB out of 12). After rebooting the system it runs very well, a view days later (without reboot, only hibernating) the situation is the same.
Looks like a problem in OS X. Any solutions?

I haven't worked out the LDAP messages but I noticed at other times I was seeing lots of album art messages from BlackBerry desktop. I'd already uninstalled the app but it still had processes running. The problem is with the new operating system and sending photo via email when used in my iPad. From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow.

Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi.
