Why the Version Race? after 3.6.2 instead of 10, could be version 3.7, or 4.0 MAX
Firefox is so good, that it should not have to compare release version numbers. If version 8 is out, it could have been 3.9, or 4.0, not way up there to 8. You have the prestige, Mozilla does not have to version race with everyone else.
The previous method of version numbers was asinine in comparison to the current scheme of 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - etc. Firefox 1.0.x to 1.5.0.x then to 2.0.0.x did make a bit of sense, but then jumping to 3.0.x followed by 3.5.x and then 3.6.x - that was nonsensical, IMO.
More important is that the entire development process was changed. Instead of being based on a specific set of new features for each new major version, it is time driven at 6 week release intervals. Features that are ready will make it to the Beta testing stage and subsequent release 6 weeks later. Features that need more work will held in the earlier development stages ''(Nightly & Aurora)'', so that a scheduled release date won't have to be postponed to get one or two features completed. Based upon the original proposed schedule for Firefox 4, it was intended to be released in late November or early December 2010; instead is was March 14th, 2011 - over 4 months late.

Why the extra space after an h3 title on the page?
I am somewhat a newbie and I am working on a webpage for a
lady. She wants me to remove the extra space below the title and I
have it set as an h3 tag. The title is at the top, "eMarketing -
Standing out in the In-Box"... and then there is this big space
below it. Why? I have the title set as h3 and the rest as a
paragraph. This is in a table so the h3 tag is on one row and
immediately to the next row is the paragraph tag. How can I remove
this extra space to bring the content up underneath the title?

I regularly need to check several bookmarks that are stored in the same directory, which usually is a couple of clicks from the main bookmarks menu.
When I select a bookmark in the tree that I created to organize my bookmarks and it does not give met the web-page/information I was looking for, I want to try another bookmarked web-page in the same directory.

I'd say that most applications with two distinct words in the name use uppercase, and most apps with single or compound words use lowercase. My guess (remember, it's just a guess) is that the exceptions are about legibility. For example, if the icon for Illustrator said AI instead of Ai, people may wonder what Adobe Aluminum is
BTW, the typeface was designed by Robert Slimbach, one of the greatest, living masters of type design.

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
See how you go. -
I have opened two versions of Firefox (v3.6.18 and v3.5), v3.6.18 is my default browser. The problem comes after an attempt to open a HTML file. An error appears: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." Why wouldn't it just open on my default browser? Thanks for the help!
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

I also facing the same issue with Adobe reader 9.5.4 version update.
Previous Version installed: 9.5.3
AcroRd32.exe - File Version 9.5.3.305
AcroRd32.dll - File version 9.5.3.305
After update installation to 9.5.4, add or remove program shows latest version but exe and dll is not updated. Vulnerability assessment tools based on file version check identifies patch is still missing. Becomes a HEAD ACHE.
Adobe Reader 9 > Help > About Adobe Reader 9 - First shows version 9.5.4, if your click on it instead of showing AGM version next it shows version 9.5.3.305.
I tested for all previous versions of 9x, works fine in each update. Seems like patch is missing codes for updating file versions.

We've been experiencing some odd behavior with discovery. After Active Directory System Discovery, some computers have Operating_System_Name_and0 as only the version number; for example, " 6.1" (note the space before the 6) vs.
"Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 6.1" (although, not limited to Windows 7 workstations).
Here are two seemingly identical machine records in Active Directory WCBWIN7VDI10 and WCBWIN7VDI11.
After discovery

Why does my iphone 3gs screen go white after it goes "to sleep" for the first time after turning it on?
The screen isn't broken because it works after i turn the device off and back on, but after it goes black once, it's only white again.
But it takes the touches although it's only white, because I can answer my phone when I slide my finger on the bottom of the screen, eventhough there in not the button to see.
This is so weird. I have already done everything I can think of that might help. But I cannot think of anything that might be causing it, because nothing has happened to the device.Let me know if I should start a new discussion instead of opening a new topic here.
My wife's iPhone is the same vintage as mine 3Gs, but has never had the battery problem. Its affliction instead is that it cannot detect WiFi networks unless it is quite close to the source. Often, when my iPhone not only detects but shows a maximum cells connection with a network, hers cannot detect the network at all. In contrast, her iPhone seems to detect ourcellular carrier just as well as mine does.
Is there any help for this affliction?
