For what it is worth, I am a fan of NuGen, I have both SEQ 1 and 2 and two stereo enhancing tools (stereoizer and stereoplacer I think they're called). Since I have the SEQ 1 it replaces all Channel EQ's. And the stereotools sound great and very lush, in stead of the more usual cheezy combfilterthingies that pass for stereo enhancing tools.
And I actually like the interfaces. Simple, but stylish, functional and ergonomic (in this case meaning you can see all parameters in a quick glance, no guessing at settings).

Does the Airport Extreme support HP cp1025? There are two versions of the printer the cp1025 and cp1025nw. I have the cp1025, and can't set it up.
Is there a list of AE/bonjour supported printers?Bonjour is a transport protocol. It also provides a means of advertising a printer on a network.
Any list that shows printers that support Bonjour is generally an indication that the printer itself supports this protocol, meaning that when it is connected to the network, you can see it in your default Add Printer browser. In the case of the Airport, it also supports the Bonjour protocol and will advertise any printer that is connected to its USB port. The printer itself does not have to support Bonjour. The Airport performs this function. And like many lists, they are not kept up to date because each vendor releases several new models every quarter or half year.
There are definitely printers that don't work when connected to the USB port of the Airport. And this is more that the printer driver does not support this type of connection, mainly due to the port not supporting bidirectional communications which some printer drivers require. The Canon UFR2 and CAPT drivers are a good example of this limitation. But this is only the Mac drivers. The Windows equivalent drivers work fine when the printer is connected to the USB port.
So with you having an issue with the Windows drivers then I don't think it is a case of them not supporting Bonjour but more to do with some other component not functioning when the printer is shared by the Airport. The error message appears to have more to do with local user rights which is probably driver related. I've seen some printers that you cannot use the Windows Add Printer wizard to add them. Instead you have to use the vendors utility because of some proprietary protocol being used. Maybe this is one of those?
Now that you seen how it should work based on when you used the C3188, if you still get that error message at point 6 of adding the C1025 then it would suggest a driver compatibility issue with the Airport - which is not necessarily a Bonjour compatibility issue. So unless there was another model of HP printer driver that you could use to this C1025 and that was also compatible with the USB port of the Airport Extreme, then I would suggest your best action is to replace the printer with a model that does work. Maybe even one that has builtin wireless so you don't have to use the USB port of the Airport. -
Third Party Software to Manage iPhone music libary across multiple PCs
Can anyone recommend third-party software to get around the "An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes libary at a time?" I get this warning when I try to change settings to manually manage music and videos, which you would think would allow me to drag and drop an album off my main desktop music library to my iPhone, or from my smaller laptop music libary to the same iPhone when I am not at home. From Apple, I appear to be locked into picking one primary library. There has got to be a better way. (The kb/ht1202 article does not solve this issue).
Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers
Although it isn't possible to sync an Apple device with two different libraries it is possible to sync with the same logical library from multiple computers. Each library has an internal ID and when iTunes connects to your iPod/iPad/iPhone it compares the local ID with the one the device normally syncs with. If they are the same you can go ahead and sync...
I have my library cloned to a small 1Tb USB drive which I can take between home & work. At either location I use SyncToy 2.1 to update the local copy with the external drive. Mac users should be able to find similar tools. I can open either of the local libraries or the one on the external drive and update the media content of my iPhone. The slight exception is Photos which normally connects to a specific folder on a specific machine, although that can easily be remapped to the current library if you create a "Photos" folder inside the iTunes Media folder so that syncing the iTunes folders keeps this up to date as well. I periodically sweep my library for new files & orphans with iTunes Folder Watch just in case I make changes at one location but then overwrite the library with a newer copy from the other. Again Mac users should be able to find similar tools.
As long as your media is organised within an iTunes Music or Tunes Media folder, in turn held inside the main iTunes folder that has your library files (whether or not you let iTunes keep the media folder organised) each library can access items at the same relative path from the library folder so the library can be at different drives/paths on different machines. This solution ensures I always have adequate backups of my library and I can update my devices whenever I can connect to the same build of iTunes.
When working with an iPhone earlier builds of iTunes would remove any file not physically present in the local library, even if there was an entry for it, making manual management practically redundant on the iPhone. This behaviour has been changed but it will still only permit manual management with a library that has the correct internal ID. If you don't want to sync your library between machines on a regular basis just copy the iTunes Library.itl file from the current "home" machine to any other you want to use, then clean out the library entires and import the local content you have on that box.

I just purchased a new imac and after connecting my HP CP1215 color laserjet printer found that HP does not support this printer. I contacted Apple support and they could not supply any help. Is there a alternate way/software avalable to make this printer work with my imac?
Of course, once I posted this, I tried again and downloaded the driver without issue.
My second question still stands, however:
Scanning is not supported on my printer model with the Hewlett Packard Print 2.12 driver. Will support be forthcoming, or did Mountain Lion brick my scanner? -
Third party software for transferring music content to new laptop
Help! My laptop died and I need help finding a third party software to copy my music files and transfer them from my Iphone to my new laptop's Itunes. Apple tech support helped me set up Itunes and transfer my purchased content, but I have 1,000 songs left that I don't want to reload. I found a link to Aniosoft through searching the web, but wondered if anyone who has been in my shoes might be able to lend advice on how best to handle this.

All third party software no longer works
I've been trying to open Microsoft Word, Seashore, and so on today, and for some reason none of them will open anymore, whereas all of my first party software is fine as usual.
The only thing I think it could be is that I ran the program that deleted all the unneccesary languages earlier on today. I didn't try any of the third party software before that, so I can't be sure if the two are connected.
I don't really want to restore the laptop to factory settings, is there another way to get the programs to work again, or undo what that program uninstalled?

I definitely didn't delete "english", but I didn't see the option for US English, so maybe it was that.
I think the program also deleted some operating systems, for other computers like G5 and stuff.
I tried reinstalling the third party software and there was no change.
Restoring the whole system isn't that much of a problem, the only annoying thing would be transferring all the music from my other computer again, but it isn't a huge issue really.
What is the best way of restoring the system? Do I just put the Mac OX install disks in and follow some options? -

My friends got into my phone and changed my password. It has been disabled multiple times and i do not want ot attempt again. I have photos that are on my phone that I need to keep and they are not backed up. Are there any safe third-party softwares I can use to get past this passcode?

Logic Express 8 not seeing third-party software instruments
I have tried to install some Puremagnetik EXS instruments files for Logic, following manufacturer's instructions to place an alias of the file containing them in the folder Macintosh HD-->Library-->Application Support-->Logic-->Sampler Library. Have tried this both with an alias and with the actual file. Actual file resides on the home drive not an external drive. Have rescanned the library in Logic and they are not showing up either in the library or in the channel strip drop-down menu.
Have others had this problem with "third-party" software instruments that do not come as package files? The only non-built-in software instruments that I have ever successfully installed in an Apple product were either from the Jam Packs or came as a "package" where you double-click the "box" icon and the product installs.Even though both the Puremagnetik instructions and an e-mail from the support address there specifically said to place the files in the top level directory, guess what? Based on this suggestion I placed an alias in the user level directory and it worked. Logic is now seeing the soft synths. Thank you!

How to configure Solaris that third-party software can use Netscape

I don't know if this is Solaris configuration issue.
I have Storage Foundation installed on Solaris 10 SPARC.
And I am using the VEA GUI application to manage storage. Then I intentionally made some activities that the Error window appears with the link.
This link point to the Veritas web page.
After clicking on this link the error appears:
"Error attempting to launch web browser.:
netscape: not found"
Please tell me whether this issue is because it needs some changes in Solaris or maybe the Storage Foundation needs to be configured properly?
The internet connection works fine while executing the Netscape from CDE.

DanielI don't think it has anything to do with the third-party software. When you click on a link or document, the OS tries to access it using the associated application. In your case, clicking on a hyperlink tries to load the default web browser which on your system is Netscape.
If say, you installed Firefox and configured it to be the default web browser then Solaris would launch it instead.
Try to manually launch Netscape and in the preferences, set it as the default web browser. See how you go with that.

VPN Proxy Settings With Third Party Software
Im just wondering if this is possible. When I go to university I've setup a VPN connection and inside of that I've put proxy settings for the available protocols. HTTP, socks, etc.
Well all software built into os x (itunes, safari) use these proxy settings automatically when connected to the VPN. So when I go to uni I click one button to connect and that's it.
What Im wondering: Is it possible for third party software (Firefox, IRC clients) to grab these proxy settings from the VPN? At the moment I'm having to manually add the proxies to these apps every time I go to uni, then disable them when I go home.Many users have found Authoxy to be the solution for most proxy issues.

I've read many posts talking about using a third party software to manage the fans in my iMac. Can the iMac not do this on its own?
You don't have to do anything. The fans will run when the temperature gets hot enough to trigger them.
My new 2012 iMac isn't like my older 2007 iMac in terms of fan noise. I knew when the 2007 fans were running, I could hear the sound of rushing air and under heavy load they were load. Because the new 2012 models are very different in construction I don't hear that typical sound. In fact, until I saw a teardown I wondered if it had fans. The fan sounds more like a hum and I just never associated it with being a fan. Yes, the top of the computer does get hot, I think part of Apple's design is to use the alumnium back as a heat sink. -

edit: There is one shareware that is an iTunes plugin called Multi-tunes. With it you can create multiple iTunes libraries, one library called "Main" one called "Bootlegs" etc, and Multi-Tunes will allow you to quickly switch between them from within the iTunes window. Not exactly what your looking for but close.

After upgrading to OS Mavericks, I realized that the Partition for Windows is gone. I have really important data on this drive without a back up. Is there any way I can get this data before reformatting. Is there any third party software for receiving the data or any possible way? Money is not a limitation to this fix. Please help!!!

If you wish to merely transfer files, one idea could be to have one ftp or web server on each machine, and then use appropriate clients (ftp programs or web browsers).
TCP/IP software is available under System 7.5.5. The 8100/100 can use standard RJ-45 Ethernet cabling via a suitable adapter for AAUI-15 (such as the Apple Ethernet Twisted-Pair Transceiver M0437).
For the Mac, the now free program NetPresenz could perhaps be of interest as a server solution.
