Why this behaviour 32/64 bits installer jdk/jre behaviour

usally i work with jdk 1.5 update 12
so in this link
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/5.0_12/index.html
for my 32 bits pc machine
i download this file
Windows Platform - Java Development Kit 5.0 Update 12
Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language jdk-1_5_0_12-windows-i586-p.exe 51.33 MBsee the size of the installer 51.33Mb
with this unique .exe installer i can install in peace the jdk and jre (how adition by default)
now for 64 bits

Windows x64 executable (use 32-bit version for applet and Java Web Start support) jdk-1_5_0_12-windows-amd64.exe 32.96 MBsee the size file 32.96mb
well with this i can only install the jdk but not the jre like the installer 32 bits case
i must download apart the jre for 64 bits
is normal this behaviour???

Since the User is a Remote User Treated and done the Authentication on System (Local System) but the >>password
did not match up with the Orapwd password when you have perform some instructions on DB.

you disbaled OS authentication with sqlnet.authentication_services=NONE and throwing away ORa_dba group.So >>you are bound to give right username and password otherwise my password is correct.

Questions regarding 32bit / 64 bits architecture JDK/JRE
If I compile some classes with a 32 bit JDK, is it possible to run that bytecode on a 64bit JRE.
If I compile some classes with a 64 biy JDK, is it possible tu run that bytecode on a 32bit JRE.
If I try to install a 32 bit JRE on 64 bit machine is that JRE going to work ? If yes, will I encounter any performance issues ?

I get this following message when installing the latest itunes on mozilla or IE10 was working on this machine before crash and reinstalled for HP disc I tried at leat 15 times firewall off /on microsoft essentials on/off on windows 7 64 bit see message

If you haven't already done so, download the iTunes Installer from:

Then right click on the installer and select "Run as Administrator." (Even though you are using an admin account).
If that doesn't work, try creating a new administrator account and installing from there. -
OK so I have deactivated and uninstall the version off the old laptop, then reinstalled the version on the new laptop. When you go to open a document it says it wants to do an upgrade check for some reason, anyone know why this is? It will not take the serial number after that and it doesn't show the version we have in the drop down list.

What operating system are you running on the new laptop? If it's a current OS, then it may be incompatible with Acrobat 9. Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-prod ucts.html.
It could also be that you're trying to install an upgrade, and the installer is looking for the serial number for the previous version (is the previous version listed in the drop-down list?).

When i download files , they go into subfolders such as "000000000002" within downloads, why is this behaviour and is this a bug?
Thanks Eric, Most files i download is from a incident management application developed from my employer. i use that all day long. I think you are partially correct, The application that i use may be creating these subfolders and using to put files into that.
I will update this thread if i see that some other standard applications like safari / Mail are downloading into subfolders.
Is some one else facing this issue?? -

I am trying to install itunes on my Windows 7 64 bit.
I did download the correct file of 10.1.2 itunes 64 bit.
However when I go to install the package I get the following error:
"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and you can access it or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."
does anyone have any suggestions.
I made sure I ran it in administrator mode too.I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

Since Lion installation the remote control first generation, doesn't work as usually. On Leopard when I pushed the menu button, it opened a menu that showed music, films, photo. Now it doesn't work anymore. Is there anyone to explain me why this happen? Thank you.
Sadly Snow Leopard was the last OS X to have Front Row and it is no longer offered in Lion or Mountain.

I to am having the same issue. I have a admin account and logged into it as well and still have the same message pop up. Contacted live support the woman i spoke with had to send it up higher. We went through every thing including her trying (taking over as a host on my laptop) still have not bee contacted this June will be a year that i have heard nothing from them sine She di everything she could and pushed it up higher.

I haven't been able to de-install a failed/incomplete Oracle 11g 32-bit installation from Windows 7. I downloaded the deinstall utility for this configuration, but when I ran the bat file (the only executable file I found), it flashed an error and quit, before I could even read why it failed. What am I missing, please?

Why this Verisign certificate is not automatically recognized ?

We used java and JSSE to acces an https URL, with a 64 bit certificate, it's ok.
We try to use the new certificate 128 bit, it's KO.
We need to declare this new certificate with keytool in a keystore, and to add in the java program the reference to the keystore file.
Is it normal, why this new certificate is not automatically recognized in the cacerts ?

we had the some problem.
The new certificate is Class 3 Version 3, but in the cacerts file is present only the Version 1.
The first solution was been to include our certificate in cacerts file and redistribute the cacert file to our clients (or click always in the alert pop-up). ORRIBLE!
The finally solution (i hope) is to set up correctly the web-server.
We have Apache 1.3.27 + mod-ssl. The installation of certificates has involved the only authenticated certificate file and private key. By the way there's another file that is not in use by default: the intermediate.crt file (in httpd.conf is indicated by tag SSLCACertificateFile). The intermediate.crt is distribuited by Verisign and it must be installed to solve the problem.
The difference is visible in Mozilla browser too.

PCIf you are installing a 64bit platform why don't you pick all the 64bit versions of the available products.
The only one I would maybe choose 32bit is EAS as you have to deploy the web application manually, if don't have any experience with 64bit web apps and deploying manually then stick with the 32bit eas and choose 64bit for the other prodcucts

Javaws 64-bit fails to installer newer JRE (Java7u6 auto-upgrading to u7)

I have a machine with an previous version of java installed (tried with 1.7.0_06).
My Jnlp file is set to automatically download the latest JRE. This works fine if the JRE installed is 32-bit. But if the user has downloaded the x64 bit version (on windows 7), everything works, except when I change the required version spec to 1.7.0_07.
The confirmation dialog to install 1.7.0_07 comes up but fails, as it tries to download and run the 32-bit installer while the javaws is 64-bit. Shouldn't the 64-bit version download a 64-bit version when auto-downloading?
The user is running javaws from the commandline

Remember, you tried the "cacls" command and it did not work for you. I spent sometime on it and found that on Win7, there's command called "takeown" on Win7, which allows an administrator to recover access to a file/folder that was denied by re-assigning file ownership.
Could you try the following?
Note: You must elevate the level of permissions for Win 7 with UAC enabled.
On Windows 7
Choose Start > Programs > Accessories.
Right-click on Command Line and select Run As Administrator.
If Error 1321 is being caused due to some file e.g. if it's ACE.dll, then it's containing folder e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0" is to be mentioned in the below command line. The below command in blue can be typed at the command line and the end press Enter Key.
C:\Windows\system32>takeown /f "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0" /r /d y && icacls "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0" /grant administrators:F SYSTEM:F /t
After running the command, you should be seeing something like this,
Successfully processed 1367 files; Failed processing 0 files
And then try installing Reader 9.3.3 from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.3/enu/AdbeRdr933_en_US.exe
