Why to have Employees as vendors
We have FI and HR imlemented on same system. Now we are going to have Travel management also. We have not created employees as vendors. Could someone please explain why to have employees as vendors. What are the benifits of having employees as vendors and what we miss by not having them.

There are following reason for employees to be created as vendors.
There is no way that you can make posting with personal number though you can give it as an additional account assignment. So, whenever employee takes an advance for travel then how would one keep track. So, when employee is created as vendor you can post the document like Vendor Dr and Cash Cr. So to keep record of any transaction to employee like travel advance, medical advance, advance against expenses vendor is created for employee.

We have posted our payroll results successfully. But there was one correction has to be done i.e we are recovering the festival advance from employees. The recovery has to be posted to respective vendor accounts. But in reality it is not happening. It is posting to one vendor account for all employees.
Firstly, I need clarification on - Does each employee will have an independent vendor account?
If yes, then why not the festival advances recovery are not psoting to the respective vendor accounts?

Normally we have to create the permanent employees as vendors and contract employees as materials as Anwar said it should be same as their personnel number, because while posting any advances like festival or any reimbursements (Bills submisssions) will be posted against the vendor or material number which is same as personnel number so the cost will be booked with the same number.

Hello Folks,
We are implementing SRM SUS (5.0) (EBP SUS scenaio). We are able to successfully replicate vendor to SUS. We can se ethe vendor org in SUS. My concern is -
1. How can we create employee for vendor (business partner) in SUS.
2. When we create employee for vendor in EBP (BBPMAININT) and replicate in the vendor to SUS, in the vendor org- contact person in SUS there is a node getting created. But unfortunately this shows userid ABCSDFEW and shows name 'DO NOT USE'. And we are not able to login with this userid.

1. I tried to change password in SU01 and when I try to login in SUS with that information it says 'your coampany is locked please contact administrator to unlock the company'. I tried it with 3-4 vendor and those are locked. Now how I can unlock those company (Vendor).
2. I also try to use SUS_SELFREG url (my assumption is that for self reg we dont need any userid/passwd becuase the url will direct you to the user creation page .... please correct if I am wrong) but it gives the below error -

When I purchased my iPad, I learned that I have employee dicusount with Apple products, Since I purchased iPad from applie site I was able to automatically apply that credit to my purchase.
I recenlty purchased iPhone5 from ATT store front. (Have not arrived yet.) - How can I clam my employee dicount for this purchase. I think it was $10.00 discount for my iPad.

Hi, I still have problems reinstalling Final Cut Pro even though I followed these steps.
Reason why I have to reinstall is because I have repaired my Macbook Pro hard drive at a Mac Authorized Repair.
Short history of repair and my Final Cut Pro installation:
1. Macbook Pro stopped working, sendt it for repair. Had the Final Cut Pro installed,
2. Desided to try a MiniMac and recovered my backup with Time Machine, got the Final Cut Pro working.
3. Got my Macbook Pro back from repair, did backup on this one as well. But this time only the files not the Applications.
4. Removed the files as mentioned in HT5149. Didn´t find "com.apple.motionapp.plist" to remove though, but the others I found.
5. When I try to install Final Cut Pro from App Store, it downloads the application as planned. But after download it won´t show in the Application folder nor in the downloads folder, nor will it start an installation prosess. If I pause the installation in App Store, I can see the Final Cut Pro icon in my Dock. (But, as mentioned, after installation it won´t show neither here or in the Applications folder).
Any suggestions on what I should try now?
Thanks for any reply, I´m in deep water here...Sounds like there is a file you're not getting. Never do a removal manually. It's so time consuming and a pain. There's a very easy and fast way to do this, safely, properly.
Get the free "Final Cut Remover" app from Digital Rebellion (dot com), use this to remove FCP X.
Reboot the Mac.
Download from scratch.
If you're not seeing FCP X in your app folder, run Disk Utility to Repair all drives.
If that doesn't help, try running Disk Warrior from Altsoft to repair the directories on all drives. -
Just want to know why Apple have not made an options menu to remove duplicate photos in iPhoto? I know about downloads you can purchase to delete Dups, but I'm very interested to find out from apple themselves as to why they left this out, to die without knowing this is like having viruses on a pc or waiting for the web page to pop up on windows...

The FI people wants to provide Additional Payment to an employee from their side. So they'll create this employee as vendor.
My doubt is that where Personnel No & Vendor code will integrate and is that additional payment will add employees salary ?
and How it'll post to FI ?

Each employee can be considered as a vendor, as salary is credited to the employee and this is an expense debited to the company. For this while the vendor account is created (fk01- creation of vendor for accounting), the respective personnel number is assigned to them. Through which the vendor acc is linked to the employee.
This amount is affected in payroll, if the vendor configuration is done in the FI posting config settings of Indian payroll. That is the wages are split between the employee vendor and the expense GL accounts of the company. If you want to post to the vendor accounts, configure the assign vendor accounts node in payroll posting to accounting in Payroll India.

I know why I have been having problems with FF 3.6.16 and the last thunderbird update
I am in Canada and for some reason downloads for both 3.6.12 FF and the last Thunderbird update was the BritishVersions thats why I have UK search engines, not the US versions maybe that is why I am have trouble with my email and addons. The other 2 computers in my house is the US versions.
But there is still something a bit screwey with 3.6.12 some of the addons are not working properly on the other puters. Can you please change the sofware to the US version please????? Thank you

If you keep the wrong language then remove the offending language pack from the chrome folder in the Firefox program folder.
You may need to (re)set the pref "general.useragent.locale" to the preferred language ("en-US") on the about:config page.<br />
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, like you open a web site.<br />
Use the Filter bar at the top of that page to quickly locate the pref. -
Why i have to specify the parameters (property and name) in both tags?
Recently i learned how to populate a html:select with data from a DB table with a int value and a String value (value and label of an option). For that i create a business object that represent one pair value&label (i called categoryBO) and another business object that contains a list of the business objects categoryBO. So in my JSP i have the next code:

But i have the next questions:
1. Why i have to establish the parameters property and name for bot html:select and html:optionsCollection? Why not only in html:select or only html:optionsCollection?
2. In the ActionForm for my JSP i don�t know what data type have to use to declare the variable that's linked with the option or with the select. I'm using Object for now.
3. Why the only way to populate the html:optionsCollection in the Action is passing the object in the request object as an atribute in the next way:

The html:select should refer you to ONE selected value (in this case an int). It should tie to a field on your action form.
The html:optionsCollection should refer to a list of beans used to populate this select component.

html:options gets the list of possible values
html:select stores the "selected" option. (consider what you would have if you just used a standard html:input here, and typed the id directly in - THATS the property to bind to)

The way you mentioned is also valid. If both the "selectedItem" and "listOfItems" are properties on your action form, you can leave out the "name" attribute, and they will be found there.
However if you are dealing with request scoped beans, you will have to populate the list on each access of the page - you will need a "load" action to poupulate the bean with the items for the dropdown, and make sure that it is always populated when you return to it (eg on an error condition).
That is why setting it as an attribute is sometimes preferable.
