Why until now the game center my name/apple id is incorrect password?

I had this same error on an old .mac address I've been using for years even though I no longer have email access on it. I was getting rejected for iphone updates ... buggy, but it looks like it resolved itself since I am now able to update my iphone per usual. Hope you had the same weird, now over experience!

HT4314 How do I change the Game Center login name...I've has issues with getting GC to align my iPad game to the iPhone correctly.

I have been playing a game on the iPad (called D.S.F) & then wanted to link it to my iPhone with Game Center.
The problem is when it tried doing it...It asked me to choose a game name on the iPhone and I used the one I was using on the iPad but it didn't like as it said the name was taken.
So I set another name up and then thinking I could simply change the required name in DSF game settings to align the game but instead the game fully reset itself and I lost the existing game levels I was on the iPad.
After uninstalling the game on both devices & reloading them a few times, I established that when I turned off Game Center and reinstalled the game on the iPad then I got the game reloaded picking up from where I was initially.
The short of this blurb is that somehow I need to change the Game Center name for the game I'm playing so it links correctly and I'm not sure how to do that.
It's the name in Game Center that's linked to the iPhone new game that is the problem and it's the one I need to correct.
Any advice?

Go to start menu
Type REGEDIT into the search
Select find under the edit tab
Type the exact name you wish to correct
correct every entry by clicking on the entry> and then clicking edit>select modify>then correct only the portion of the name you wish to correct> then click ok> go back to edit and click find next> repeat the process for each entry in the registry until the screen says finished>restart windows and plug in your ipad. ENJOY

Sounds like you encrypted your iPhone backup, & if so it's asking for the encrypted backup password. Do you have a company Exchange account on your phone?

No clue why the final processes have suddenly started to take so long. Two things I'd try: a) capture from an older tape to see if some problem with the new tape is at fault. And b) check the health of your RAM and the hard drive.
The red frame sounds a bit like a glitch we used to have in OnLocation (actually in its predecessor HDV Rack) which was caused by a partial GOP. But that was a product of HDV Rack recording from the live video stream. It turned out that HDV cameras intentionally interrupt the data stream for an instant upon starting to record--specifically to avoid recording a partial GOP to tape. So my gut says that the tape has partial GOPs at the points where you stopped/started recording.

Have you contacted iTunes Support and asked them why it's appearing ? If not then you will need to do so (we are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why) :

- click on your country's flag
- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column

Go to Appleid.apple.com, then go to manage your account and try to login. If it wont let you go to reset your password and try login again if it works that time go back to the game center and try using your apple id there with the new password.

Try resetting your Apple ID password.

Now restart your iPhone.
Press and hold the sleep/wake button until you see the red slider then swipe to power off. Then press and hold the sleep / wake button until you see the Apple logo.
Try the game center.

There's always something with these updates. The most recent update to iOS 7.1 has created an issue now with Game Center. I can log in using my Apple ID and password, but after that it treats me like a new user. After agreeing to the User Agreement terms, I'm asked to type in my nickname. When I type in my current nickname (which I don't want to change), it tells me that name is already in use in another account. Yeah, I'm the account! It doesn't matter if I access Game Center directly, or through a game app. When I open a game, the banner now reads "Welcome Back (Null)". It refuses to recognize me even though I've logged in with a valid Apple ID and password. What gives, and how can I get my Game Center back?

I had to choose another nickname. One thing I have noticed now is that the amount of coins I have won sometimes changes by as much as 20,000 overnight, as well as the gems. What is going on? Why did my nick name change? Why did I loose all my game progress? Apple support explain.
