Why update is not in function?

I just update my NOKIA E52 and he faild. Now my phone is dead. What I Can do?

Hey, no problem, but don't thank me, thank psychomania.
However it all depends on in which part of the prossess the update went wrong if it's going to be recoverable. It also seems that once in a while hardware issues occure while updating.
If non of the tips mentioned don't work, you will have to get it repaired at a Nokia care point (that's also mentioned it the guide).

Softeware not updating, seems not fully functional

When I was in the US for work I bought a retail version of Photoshop / Premiere Elements 8. Back in The Netherland I downloaded the trial of the Dutch version and used the US serial to register the software. All went fine but I do have a couple of problems which I'm not sure how to fix.
When I select: Help - updates it reports within a second that the update server is not responding. It has never worked. manualy installing 8.0.1 did not fix the problem.
When I select (in Dutch) file - check folders it reports the service is not available...
In short: some parts do not work and I wonder if this is because I'm using an US serial for a Dutch product or if it is a faulty install.

1. Make sure that the system is connected to internet and the firewall settings or anti-virus settings are not in such a way that it is not allowing Updater to contact to Adobe servers.
2. If above doesnt work, try this:
   1. Open Network and Sharing Center
   2. Click Change adapter settings
   3. Right-click the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter, and click Disable.
   4. Open PSE and Help > Check for Updates

Ovi Suite Update Features not fully functional

When updating Ovi Suite to 3.1.1.80, it is stated that you will be able to directly downoad Free Apps and Games from the Suite itself and OVI Store directly to your connected device. One Prpblem, You can only download Apps that are on the OVI Suite homescreen, when you view more from the Store, it still uses the old method and sends an SMS to your phone.

Why update(Graphics g) in JPanel is not called?

Hi,
I have Overridden the following two functions in a JPanel:
1. void paint(Graphics g)
2. void update(Graphics g)
in order to define my own content in the JPanel. As far as I know that override update() by the following code:
public void update(Graphics g)
System.out.println("update is called");
paint(g);
the original content will not be cleared when it is repainted.
However, I find that update() has never been called. And the content is cleared to its default background color before my defined content is painted. it leads to flashing of the screen.
can anyone tell me why update() is not called??

SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

Why do you not offer a reversion feature when you crash my add on with updates?

I at my advanced age rely on the norton toolbar for storing and remembering my multitude of logins. It seems as if every time you update firefox, I lose this feature and have to search the internet for an hour to find and download the prior version of firefox to get it back, and often it auto updates again within hours and wipes out that effort. Why can you not offer a reversion feature when you update? I have voiced this complaint repeatedly over several years. I am happy with firefox with that one exception. It is VERY annoying and time consuming.

You could set your Firefox to notify you of updates, and give Norton a few days to update before actually updating Firefox. To set that, use this dialog:

I'm unable to update Firefox. operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items. I own the computer, why would I not have permission? This has happened other times and I don't know what it means.

I am having this issue on my laptop and desktop. Since I use both computers the Yahoo toolbar has been great for having my bookmarks available on both computers at the same time but no I don't have that feature. I'm told that Google's toolbar also doesn't work either.
Do you guys do any testing or Quality Assurance testing before releasing these versions?

Add-ons are the responsibility of their authors. McAfee does not even put their extension on http://addons.mozilla.org you had to install it from their site.
Disable "McAfee Site Advisor" extension which was just updated to 3.4.0, which probably took it out of the addons block list.
* "Ctrl+Shift+A" > find McAfee Site Advisor and use "Disable", and then restart Firefox.
* Do a Google Search no problem
* It seems that if you re-enable Site Advisor again, and restart Firefox you are okay. At least you know where to look if you get the error again or Google searches slow down.

It's probably telling you that you need 1.5 more GB than you have available. Hook up your device to iTunes on the computer you sync with and do the update from there. OTA updates require a lot more memory than ones done via iTunes.

you can update from iMovie versions 7, 8 and 9, but iMovie HD is iMovie 6.
Maybe you can update in two steps, first from iMovie 6 to iMovie 7, 8 or 9 then to iMovie 10.

<sql:param value="${userid}" />I would recommend you not to do database connectivity stuff in JSP, JSPs are the view layer of an application and they aren't supposed to be for doing business logic. Also since you are using a random userid, you might end up with multiple users with the same ID and IDs are generally supposed to be unique...
